This is a fun spot! Right dt off 6th street. We met up here for dinner before we went to the mothership. And it was awesome. The burger was amazing. I'd definitely go back for it. We had a party of 7 and they didn't miss a beat on our service. Great experience!

We parked a few blocks away and walked down to Sixth Street, which was a nice area to be in. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server made sure to let us know happy hour was going on, which was nice. The drinks were a good start. I had a really nice margarita and my mom ordered the sweet tea, which she enjoyed. For food, I ordered the brussels sprouts off the happy hour menu and thought they were good. For entree's My mom got one of their burgers and I ordered the fish and chips. My mom really enjoyed her burger. As for me, the first piece of my fish was fine. When I went back to eat the rest I realized the fish was actually undercooked, which was pretty disappointing. What I will say is that the manager handled it really well. She came over, removed it from my bill, and brought me another round of margaritas. That kind of service recovery goes a long way and I appreciated it. Overall the ambiance was nice, the drinks were good, and most of the food hit the mark. The fish and chips were a miss but the way the staff handled it made up for it. I would give Eureka another shot.
Here for a trip! This is a chain restaurant but the $13 lunch drew us in! Not busy and super quick service! Food was good for the price. Sweet potato fries weren't cooked how I like them but that is preference! Overall good experience for quick lunch!
Wow, it's been such a long time since I've been to Eureka. I was downtown a little early for an event. So I popped in to Eureka to kill some time. Just grabbed a cocktail real quick. The cocktail was called Wild Child. A little vodka, watermelon, and a spicy rim. Wicked good. The watermelon flavor was refreshing, and with that habanero spice rim really complimented the sweet. Bravo. Delicious!
It's been years since I've been to a Eureka (in Berkeley) but I decided to check out their happy hour after checking out the Ariana grande pop up. The fish and shrimp tacos ($4 each), brussel sprouts ($7), and truffle fries ($4) were all delicious and prepared quickly!! No notes! Portions for the brussel sprouts and truffle fries were great. Lots of seating, including at the bar with many TVs.
Overall: 3.4/5 We came back on two separate occasions (dine in and take out), and the food wasn't as good as the first time we dined here. Farmers' Market Cocktail ($15.50): Our waitress recommended this gingerbread cocktail, but it fell short of expectations. The gingerbread flavor was barely detectable, though they did serve it with an ice cube shaped like a gingerbread man. Wagyu Bone Marrow Burger ($23) + Beer Battered Onion Rings ($3): A medium rare beef patty with bone marrow shiitake butter, grilled onions, horseradish mustard aioli, and roasted tomatoes. Unfortunately, the patty was dry and lacked juiciness, and the bone marrow shiitake butter flavor didn't come through. The burger as a whole was surprisingly bland. I'm not even convinced the tomatoes and grilled onions made it in, as it tasted like a bare bones, basic burger. The onion rings were decent and crispy. Double Smash Burger ($20.75) + Sweet Potato Fries ($3): Garlic dijonnaise, red onions, dill pickles, and American Swiss cheese. This was an improvement over the Wagyu Bone Marrow Burger, with noticeably more flavor, though I wished it came with lettuce and tomatoes. The sweet potato fries would have benefited from being air fried, as they would taste better crisped. Lettuce Wrap ($18.25): You can choose between chicken or tofu, and we went with chicken. The gochujang based sauce gave it a great flavor that we really enjoyed. That said, some of the lettuce had blackened edges and one piece had a bug on it. They really need to wash and inspect the lettuce more thoroughly. Crispy Glazed Brussels Sprouts ($12): The orange chili glaze and chimichurri created an amazing flavor profile. However, the Brussels sprouts were anything but crispy despite being air fried, which is probably because they were extremely oily. Purple Haze ($6): An interesting and enjoyable drink.
Great place - every dish was very well prepared - but the best part of the meal was the cheese cake! WOW that was amazing! Service was good and provided good recommendations - a must try while in town.
Amazing! This location is similar to one near I grew up! Same feel, same food and great staff! Food is consistent from the original location we came from and the staff here is just as great!!! Thank you Eureka! for everything and being where we wanna eat! The food is hands down always fantastic =D
My friends and I came here late on a Sunday night after watching the bats at Congress Bridge. It is not a far walk and it looked pretty popular compared to other restaurants we had passed while exploring the city. The hostess greeted us warmly and we were quickly seated. Our server was lots of fun and patient with us as we took our time determining drinks and meals. We started with their nachos appetizer to split, which was really good. The chips were evenly covered with toppings, and it was just enough to get us through until our meals. My friend and I split their special burger that day, which was a green goddess burger and swapped the regular patty for a veggie patty. It was great! The veggie patty reminded me a lot of falafel, which is one of my favorite foods, and it went really well with their green goddess dressing and other toppings. We also both got their sweet potato fries as a side. They come with a spicy aoli that went very well with them. The rest of the group got the same burger, the Bone Marrow, which was a mix of regular beef and waygu. Everyone said it was probably one of the best burgers they've ever had in their lives! The vibes of this place were great, the staff was great, and the food was the greatest part of all. When we come back to Austin, this place will for use be on our list to stop at again!
I loved the "hoppy hour" yes you read correct! The happy hour has some really amazing drinks cocktail features & light bites. The dry rub wings with a side of buffalo & blue cheese dressing over ranch was perfection!. The truffle fries are great! The Ceasar salad is a great side. I really like the shrimp tacos. The grilled fish taco needed some seasoning or salt or pepper. I squeezed some limes on top & that did the trick for the fish. My server was great! The only con was the street parking & lack there of. You may have to park & walk. Hence why the happy hour deals & available street parking near!
Food was pretty good. Very college/bachelorette vibe. The live musician was wonderful It was quiet a bit of a wait even with a reservation

The food was really good. They are very busy so there could be a wait. It's right on the corner, and they left the front doors open and the outdoor was busy and loud. Caesar salad didn't have enough dressing. The fries were really good. The salmon was a bit dry and lack favor. It seemed frozen. But the mashed potatoes were really good too. read more
Ate here after looking over a few reviews. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, and good food. Started with mac and cheese bites as an appetizer. They were very tasty and a hit by all. Our table ordered a eureka burger, and a couple chicken sandwiches. All the meals were very good and the sweet potato fries were popular. I visited Austin this weekend, and my cousin recommended this restaurant. They have a decent food menu, and the drink menu has a lot of good options. We sat at the bar. I liked the vibe. It was chill, and the bartender was friendly. We ordered appetizers since we weren't starving. The mac and cheese balls were good. The breading was crunchy, and the mac and cheese was cheesy. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious. They served it with chips and bread. It was super crunchy and seasoned. I had an expresso martini. My only complaint I have is that my fiancé ordered Cali flower bites, and they smelled like fish. I liked how the martini wasn't strong. It was the best one I had so far read more
My Yelp bestie and I checked this place out before a show at the Paramount. I made a 5:30 reservation and because of traffic, I barely made it. I called while stuck on 6th street and the hostess was super nice about the late arrival. The bone marrow burger was incredible. I cannot explain how much of a texture gal I am but it hit every note. The broccolini was decent but it wouldn't vouch for it. I knocked a star for the attention from our server. She got overwhelmed and I believe the restaurant was short staffed so we didn't get to order a second beer on happy hour and we didn't get enough water refills. The happy hour pricing is nice for beers but the options are limited. This is a very safe place for a family or large gathering. I would be back! read more

Tried other Eureka locations before, but loved this one. Ordered different appetizers, drinks and mains. What stood out: crispy brussel sprouts and the fresno fig burger with grilled chicken. The combination of flavors are just so good. Service was also great. Service was great and they were able to make modifications on the dishes. Good for some american cravings and that grilled chicken hit the spot with a good ratio of flavors. read more
My husband had the BBQ Bacon burger and he said it's greasy but good, he liked it. He had the regular French fries and they were fine as well. I ordered the regular cheeseburger it was also greasy but ok, the onion was billed as "grilled" but it was really just hot. Mine was delivered with no condiments and the sweet potato fries were dripping in oil. I used paper napkins to try and blot the oil off but it didn't work they were mushy and had no salt. Not edible. Great service with food to complement. Right in the middle of downtown Austin so conveniently located if staying there. We were seated quickly and food came out hot and ready. No complaints at all. Just a solid restaurant that has a little bit of everything on the menu. Burgers are delicious and Mac and Cheese balls are a must. read more
Solo girl approved! Hoppy hour is everything! Worth coming back just for the Wild Child, the mint simple syrup and watermelon takes this drink to a whole new level of refreshing. This place was on our list for watch football games. It wasn't busy so there were plenty of bar stools. We ordered a bison burger with a side salad. The food was absolutely fantastic. The Campfire cocktail was cool. The service was also good. Perfect place to chill out. read more

I hit up Eureka! twice on my short visit to Austin. We stayed primarily for a drink and some apps. The atmosphere is great, but both times we visited they seemed very short on wait staff... like very short, and the restaurant was only about 25% full. Everyone was scrambling, doing the best they could, but you can't help but feel the stress of a taxed waitstaff. The food was slow to arrive, but we weren't in a hurry and had no complaints about the food itself. read more
I had the Bison burger medium well with green beans. I also had the 28 day dry aged bone marrow with fries and a whiskey sour. The server suggested the green beans. She didn't inform me they were an up charge not a big deal but they were not good and cold. The bison burger was absolutely amazing, the pepper on the burger is SPICY so after one bite I took it off lol but it was so good and flavorful. I stopped in here for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. I enjoyed my sandwich and even though my vegetables were not as hot as expected they did the job. The bourbon prices in this places is phenomenal and I will be back because of it. Happy hour menu looks legit also. read more

Omg this place is so amazing, the food was a mix of tantalizing flavors and fresh ingredients that give you a very surprising dish (we tried the tuna pone tower, the double smash burger and the fig burger)! The drinks were also out of this world, good quality and unique! The service was outstanding since we walked through the door even when it was late and closed to the closing time, the server Rebecca and also the manager were so friendly, helpful, fun... we are in Austin for this week as summer vacation and we already made reservations to come back for the weekend! This place was perfect to have lunch! I can only imagine what their dinner menu has to offer! We came here for lunch and it was great. The ambiance was quite lovely, the lights were appropriately dimmed and the staff spoke in a perfect tone. Our server immediately came and got our drink order within a minute of us being seated. We started with drinks and the Ahi appetizer. We got the blood orange cider and the Wild Child without the habanero salt. The beverages were quite refreshing and the ahi starter was divine. We then moved onto the entrees which were the Buffalo Burger and the Fresno Fig substitute yellow mustard for the spicy mustard and no onions. Instead of fries we got the Broccolini and it was only mediocre. I would definitely get fries next time. Everything was a great experience and we will easily return another time! Gave this place a second try while this bartender was a little more friendly the menu ie untapped and in house chalk board again not up to date. Asked for sour that's listed on untapped and on chalk board and got told they have not had it in months both times. And wanted to try rotating handle again listed both on untap and chalk board and it was agin out. Sign on the door says looking for exceptional help and so far they have not found it especially with management. We asked about manager but never appeared. Don't waste your time if your looking for craft beer keep on going banger sausage house has a great list and they keep it current. read more

A co-worker and I dropped in for lunch on a Monday Afternoon, around 12:30 PM. The restaurant was not packed at all and there was plenty of seating available. This review is based on the burger I had. I ordered the Classic American Burger with added bacon and a side of fries. The burger came out hot and fresh--the cheese was nicely melted and the bacon was just the right amount of crispy. It came out just as I ordered it, cooked medium. The fries were crispy and good as well. We had two servers, one of them being trained by the other. They were very nice and super attentive throughout the meal. Overall we had a great dining experience and I will definitely be coming back. I'm looking forward to trying other menu options as well as their cocktails and beverages. read more

Eureka! Is what we said when we came back to this burger joint. Our second time here to this restraunt and it is like night and day. The manager spencer is so cool and understanding when it comes to the model of this restarunt. Which i believe that you need a unique exsperience and care not just a bite to eat. Our server so sorry her name exscaped me. Was the best suggesting drinks laughing with us. Making some great memories. Like I said completely night to day when it comes to the experience we had. Have to say it twice cause we'll EUREKA!! This is definetly going to be one of our spots that we go to periodically through out our new life here in Austin. I am so impressed with the level of love and comfort that eureka gives to us. Honestly made my wife and I feel completely valued with the moment we had to eat her. Thank you guys for the great time! Awesome food! The fish and chips were amazing - literally the best I've ever had. Batter was light and fish melted in your mouth. My daughter had chicken tenders and they were awesome. The atmosphere was super chill and the staff was very friendly - took the time to visit share stories, etc. (we were from Oklahoma so they gave us tips on what to see in the area). Highly recommend if you're looking for a great place to eat in downtown Austin!! read more
Two of us came in for an early lunch mainly based on the Yelp reviews. I ordered a medium Bison Burger with house fries. It had a very nice spicy tang to it and was very yummy. Highly recommend this. Lorena, our server, made everything so much better. She was genuine, warm and friendly. This restaurant is lucky to have her. It was my first time visiting this establishment during my trip to Austin, Texas. At first, entering the restaurant has a modern twist on an old western saloon bit, incorporating a modern touch to its interior. The servers were delightful and swift. As a party of three, we received our food and drinks faster than average for a sit-in restaurant. (very nice!) We had come in to eat lunch, so we didn't order much. Some of their "Crispy Glazed Brussels Sprouts" as an appetizer, "Eureka! American", and "Napa Chicken Sandwich". One thing I like that no people like is any form of charmlamized or seasonal Brussels sprouts, which I was excited to see on the menu. Not many restaurants can master the proper texture for the vegetables. I ate those things as if they were chips. They were nicely cooked and soft to chew into, yet "crispy," as the name states. All of them were average other than the appetizer and nothing too special but a nice place to get yourself stuffed. read more

Eureka served us a damn good burger, only critique is that it was so dark I could hardly see it. I'm all for mood lighting, but Eureka must've interpreted the "mood" as being being trapped in a cave with a dead flashlight. Aside from that I'd highly recommend Eureka, location is great, food is great, and our drinks were reasonably priced and delicious. Our server did err by forgetting to grab our checks (we had to approach the bar after 15 minutes) but it wasn't too big of a deal since he was exemplary the rest of the time. read more

The restaurant held promise as it was well designed when we came in. However, it stopped there. The food was sub-par ... Spicy sauce had something sweet about it? The bun did not stand up to the greasiness of the chicken and the amount of the sauce. It disintegrated quickly. The fries were luke warm. The service was good. Yet, we asked for ranch dressing and received blue cheese. The price was expensive for the quality. read more

Can I just say, 6th St is dead at 4 pm on a Tuesday! This is the perfect time to go if you're looking to beat the crowd for some good brews and some good burgers! I came with a friend after work and it was the perfect wind down that we needed. The place was quiet and had maybe 3-4 other parties dining. We decided to sit at the bar since it was just us two. Our bartender was awesome, she came right too us. We both knew we wanted beer flights but couldn't decide which beers to order (it's always overload for the mind looking at a craft beer menu). She offered to select a couple for us based on our preference so we went for 2 lights and 2 hops each. The beers she chose for us were all so delicious! We paired our with cowboy burgers and a side of fries which were turned out to be an actually really darn good burger! The only issue we had was when it came time to pay it took her quite some time to bring the check. I will say by this time, things were starting to pick up and they could've maybe used another bartender on staff. If I had friends laying over in Austin or visiting there I'd definitely recommend Eurika! read more
This has been the best meal of our trip, so far. A very pleasing aesthetic inside with a giant bar. We sat near the water wall and the sound of falling water was nice. An eclectic mix of unusual and standard fare on the menu make it a good choice for all tastes. The servers are all kind and work hard to make sure everyone is happy. this place is a bit more elevated on menu and prices than the other places around, however it is also a more elevated quality and the prices are not super terrible. but don`t expect cheap eats here.
