Perfectly sweet and absolutely delicious. Seriously, SO SO good! And the drinks? The lavender lemonade was AMAZING! Refreshing, delicious, and the perfect complement to an already fabulous meal! Between the incredible food, fantastic drinks, and Jessica's wonderful service, this place was a winner all around! If you're in Austin, Moonshine Grill is definitely worth a stop! This place is beautiful. You can't beat the aesthetics here. And when you want quality food in the heart of the night, find the best for it. Beautifully warm, welcoming and the food excellent. We enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip. My boyfriend enjoyed their whiskey selection, and discovered many new ones. I had an espresso martini which was exceptional. Now it's not five stars. Bartenders service less than exceptional Our bartender, Justin (?) greeted us and was very friendly and polite. We love her energy. Then we noticed that he didn't contact us for about a minute after making our drinks, didn't even say how they came, and certainly didn't ask if we were to be fed. We saw groups of about 4 people. 1 of which is being looked after by other bartenders. The group was meeting and one with the women and no one seemed to be taking orders, just talking. We were worried enough to flag him down to put us food. We spend more than 30 minutes there with blank checks. Then second time plates and Chandander positive results, and finally check us too. Not sure we don't need attention. We are excellent tippers, but overall care less so if we are not your young female attractive group then you probably don't have good service here. I cannot, in my heart, give 20% or even 18% after feeling this way. it's a shame! We may order again on Uber Eats next time. read more

Having visited the Eureka location in Berkeley, California in the past, I must admit, the Eureka in Austin, Texas, truly stole the show during our recent visit. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this gem while attending an edu-tech conference, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! Upon arrival, I ordered a beer while my boyfriend sought cider suggestions. The quirky and delicious options presented by our knowledgeable bartender truly set the tone for the evening. For our main courses, my boyfriend indulged in the Bison Burger, which he couldn't stop raving about - juicy and bursting with flavor, he polished it off entirely! As for me, I opted for the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich, and it was an absolute delight - flavorful and satisfying. To cap off our meal, I decided to try the Espresso Martini, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer! Creamy, perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of kick, it was hands down the best I've ever had. We were expecting just average food and drinks, Eureka Austin blew us away with their exceptional offerings, well decorated space and excellent service If you're in the area, don't miss out on this culinary experience - it's anything but mediocre! read more

The food was very good. I enojoyed my burger's flavor. My only issue with the burger is I ordered it without the onion and tomato, and it came with onion and tomato. That's an easy fix for me. I just took them off. But my issue with the whole meal was like half of our table didn't get what they ordered. I ordered the fried mac and cheese balls instead of the fries. I knew it was an upcharge, but they sounded good. I didn't get them, but instead got the fries. I told the waiter when he came back to the table (he was not the one who dropped off our food). He said he'd get it fixed. That did not happen, so I just ate the fries. The fries were good though. And we also ordered brussels sprouts as an appetizer. That never came, so my girlfriend told him to just forget about them. Other people all my table had issues with their food as well (things being forgotten). When I recieved my check, it didn't show the brussels sprouts and it showed I ordered fries and not the mac and cheese. That's okay... At least we weren't charged for it. I was just a little turned off that half the table had an issue. The waiter was friendly enough, but he didn't resolve things like he said he would. read more

Me and my boyfriend came for dinner on a Thursday night around 9:30 pm. We got seated immediately, but wasn't acknowledged by a waiter for 10-15 minutes. Our waiter took our drink and appetizer order, but never brought us our appetizer..Our waiters then switched without warning, and a different waiter took our food order and was very rude and quick with taking the order, and we never had our drinks refilled. We waited 35 minutes and never even got our food, when someone who was seated 20 minutes AFTER us got their food before we did, so we got up and left. The venue is very poorly lit, me and my boyfriend had to ask to switch tables to one directly under a light to be able to read any menus without using our flashlights. The venue is also almost too loud for comfort, and the staff wasn't very friendly at all. 1.5/10, would definitely NOT recommend. read more

Wowsers! :) we were tempted to the soft opening now and got treated to an app, a meal, as well as a dessert. Rather the musical arrangement! My friends and I are visiting Austin for a quick little trip and we found this spot across our hotel. Sat at the bar to snag a seat rather than waiting for a table during the busy lunch rush, and was served by the bartender with the glasses (couldn't remember his name). He was GREAT, even though he was getting pretty busy and was constantly moving around the bar, he still gave us sometime to chat and give a rundown of the menu. His suggestion of the bison burger was awesome, the only thing I would say about the meal that was bad were the fries being a bit cold, but the spicy kick the burger had makes up for it. There's a sign by the front door that gives you parking options. I was really torn with what choices to make... Pancake vs French toast: Pancakes were a little mushy/gummy for my taste. They are light but less sweet than many other pancakes. I'm typically pretty light on the syrup but I added more syrup for the sweetness. They are good, just less sweet. Next time I'd try the French toast which is made with thick brioche bread. Bacon vs sausage: Bacon is thick, not greasy you bite it like a piece of chewy pork, it's good; the smoked sausage is great! It's a little spicy, full of flavor. Eggs with onion added were quite flavorful. It was a good breakfast diner experience.

I really wanted to love this place, especially since it's considered an Austin staple, but…read moreunfortunately, my experience was pretty mixed. My biggest issue started before I even got seated. There is a QR code that you're required to use to join the waitlist/queue, but this is not clearly communicated on their website. You essentially have to arrive at the restaurant and figure it out once you're there. For a restaurant that is known for having long waits and high traffic, I feel like this information should be clearly stated online so people can plan accordingly. Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.

For lunch I ordered the Carneasada Fajitas with chimichurri and my husband ordered the Carneasada Taqueria. With my fajitas came a side of frijoles, green rice & flour tortillas. Corn flour was the other option. Both meals came in pipin' hot & the smell coming from both was very aromatic, zesty & spice. Amazing taste, flavors, just the right amount of marinade on the Carneasada with a hint of lime. It was so delicious while enjoying the ambiance.
