Rather than listening to me for helpful feedback, he says "look I'm not going to spend my time fixing this." And hangs up. I get it, maybe you're having a horrible day, but you should never treat any client or caller in this manner especially when they're letting you know of a potential problem that could lead to bigger issues from people like me who have no idea why they're getting multiple calls from your business. Shouldn't you want to fix that instead of dealing with a bigger headache and aggravating people in the process? Horrible customer service, horrible business acumen and an outright miserable person as the first contact for the business. If this is how they handle their operations, I'd steer clear unless you want to risk being treated like you're not worth their time. While more costly to replace the rack and pinion, had the pump been initially replaced, it would have not only added to the overall cost, but left me without a vehicle for several days. This is why I appreciate going to a garage that has experience. Zaps got my vehicle in, did the necessary repairs, and I was back on the road in record time.
