I went here a few times. The experiences were bad I will never go back. The female only does "one coat "on gel nails . One day later they're all peeling off. She refuses to do more than one coat. I came back the first time when this happened and the man there said "he" always does two coats. He had to fix her mess because she wasn't there. While fixing it he did two coats for me, but he whined and complained too much the whole time he wasn't gonna get paid because it was a redo. There was no apology. There was no thought given to the fact that I had to have my already thin nails scraped out again, so he could scrape off what had just been done a day ago which really hurt and damaged my nails, I had to take off from my time again, and he wanted me to pay him some kind of tip or payment because he was whining that he's not gonna get paid. I asked him if his company had any kind of policy if nails have to be redone the next day by a different technician . He said no, and the whole time he was doing my nails he annoyed me while hinting for a tip. I told him he should talk to his boss about that. It really made me irritated how he only felt bad for himself and acted like he was doing me a big favor when I was just there two days ago, paid tip and spent the time and this all had to be ripped off and redone. He had no understanding of my inconvenience only his own. He whined so much I decided I would not give a tip since he was acting poorly. But I came back and put five dollars on his desk because I guess I thought I should - leave something, not because I wanted to . He was in the bathroom or back , so who knows if he knows I left it . ? I laid it on top of his desk, the person that actually messed up my Nails was there when I came back doing someone else's nails. no apology was given. I came back like a fool another time , (because their prices are good. ) The two of them looked grumpy. There was a terrible atmosphere in their place. They were doing other peoples nails, and then they gave me someone who acted like she couldn't speak English and when I asked her to soak my nails instead of using the drill, she pretended to not to hear me and ignored me. I asked them if I needed to leave or were they going to get me something to soak my nails off they did but they were rude. I came back again before I was leaving for two weeks for Italy. I got that woman again who refused to do more than one coat . She was rude and uncaring. They are not the owners and don't care if they lose business. (second day into my trip in Europe the gel peeled off. A complete waste of money . We ended up having words when she went to do my toes, they were so rude. I walked out and did not want to pay but she threatened to call police. I paid . they peeled right off again 2nd day in Europe! At one point it was really funny because she called "me " rude. I was not rude. I had to go to another salon to get my toes done after I left them. Please do not go there. I was attracted to their lower prices than the prices in Montgomery, but it was a complete waste of time and money. They behave like they hate their jobs are miserable and resentful toward their customers. I strongly recommend not going here . read more

I'm kind of confused on these 4-5 star reviews. I'm sure my story will explain why. I've been getting my nails done since probably high school and I'm not almost 30. I've gone to multiple salons and usually had decent experiences. For my birthday this past month (September), I decided to take the day off and get my nails done as a birthday treat. I called my usual nail salon (Indulgence Nail in Mainville. Look them up. They are AMAZING. Ask for Winn!) Anyways I cal lthem and they have a 3 hour wait which didn't work for my plans for that day. So I looked up the next best and closest salone, which was this place. I call and say they have availability in 15 minutes which was perfect so I drive over. Upon arrival I am greated and remarked at how pretty it was inside as I am a first time customer, and did like their set up. I told them I wanted a full acrylic set. I was asked to pick out my color, and sit at the first row on the far left. I showed the woman who greeted me the color/design on a picture I had saved that I wanted which was very simple. Just 1 color, and then a glitter accent nail on each ring finger. Nothing hard, or so I thought. The woman picked out the color she thought was closest to what I wanted and I sat down. Then the real work begins. A woman, probably in her 20's with long hair began gluing on the tips, and I instantly lost faith in my decision to come here. I explain to her I want a matte finish and she says "no that will look ugly. You need the regular finish". I agree to use regular finish and we move on. First she couldn't figure out the correct size, then she repeatedly kept dropping the dips due to using too much glue and the tips not sticking properly. I double checked them to make sure their were no gaps between my real nail the the tip, as a gap would allow water/gunk to get in and cause a possible infection. I noticed there were two gaps and she had to go back and fix those. Next this girl then had to get up and leave as her appointment had arrived, so a new girl begins working on me. I againn show her what I want, and specifically ask for the glitter dip powder for my accent finger as that is what looks best and that is what my normal nail salon does each time. Regular glitter polish does not work for the design I wanted. She assures me "no no we'll do shellac that will look better". So I thought she had a plan, and decided to trust her. We get through her applying my polish, and she finally gets to the accent finger. She applies the regular color I had picked out, and at this point I realize she is going to apply this color, and swipe some glitter on, instead of using the glitter dip powder I specifically ask for. I let her finish the first accent nail, and she says "Look this is pretty". I am not exaggerating when I say this looked like the work of a 3rd grader who had been set loose with a bottle of glitter. I am never the one to be rude, but I was not about to pay $50+ for something that I could have done at home. I said "this is not pretty, and this is not what I asked for. You will need to use the glitter dip powder for it to look right". She proceeds to go over and grab the basket of dip powder and slams it down and says " you pick I don't know what you want". I choose the glitter I want, and we power through that FINALLY. By the time it was said and done I had to request glitter dip powder FOUR times. And then when the clear coat was applied and dried it looked like it had been on for FOUR weeks. When a paying customer has to request something as simple as dip polish then you DO it. If I want acrylic nails glued on to my eyebrows and I'm going to pay you for it and tip you then you do it. Do NOT waste your time or money. the 4.5/5 stars are deceiving. read more

Desperate for a quiet bit of relaxation and a sorely needed pedicure, I arrived at another chain salon that welcomes walk-ins only to be told they didn't have any availability (the chemical and detergent smell was also incredibly strong. I went back to my car and called 3 other locations plus another local salon with the same results. In a last ditch effort, I found Eternity and gave them a call. They graciously allowed me to walk in about 50 min before closing and my tech was super sweet and gracious and pampering. I got a wonderful pedicure and was treated so kindly. Best part? It barely had any strong smells at all!!! Apparently, they have an extensive ventilation system in place that keeps smells to a minimum. I use to go there regularly only because I was new to the area but I disliked it so much that I just stopped getting my nails done for a very long time until I met someone working at a different nail salon and I gave it a chance. Every single thing about it is better than eternity nails. My first complaint is they are lazy. They only want to do the basic stuff and get you out the door. My daughter and I would get manicures and pedicures and they never offered and types of pedicures they would just do the quick one. Other places ask what type of pedicures and show you a menu. I would always get dip and the would always try to get me yo get tips. They complained everything about my nails being short. Once let them put on tips but I had them and one broke off in about a week. I went in to get the one nail fixed and she redid all of them and charged me full price again. I was told you can't get one nail fixed which is not true. Then I was going out of town and wanted designs. They said my nails needed to be long and said it takes long to do anyway. I was really disappointed I wanted something special but they were lazy. Now when I get them done at a different place a pick my pedicure from a menu and I almost always have designs on my short nails. I just got easter eggs today. They look as if they grew out 3 weeks. My nails do not grow fast. I told the lady that I wanted them to last until Halloween. In over a week these will look even worse (if possible) than now. I told the girl before paying that she didn't gel to the cuticle and that I didn't feel comfortable paying full price for getting 3/4 of my mail painted. They told me the next fill they'll give me 10% off, if I go in next week. That will be less than two weeks and they want me to pay for a fill. No social skills or management skills. Didn't even understand what I was saying to them. Just assumed they were right and spoke over me. My home spa is Polish Nails in Hyde Park, but when I'm working in Mason on Saturdays, I swing by and check out Emily or Trin at Eternity Nails and they both do superb work. On the outside it's a typical janky storefront spa, but on the inside it's very impressive. I assume they get crazy busy at some point because they have a gang of mani and pedi stations in there, and it's all the newest stuff. Very tastefully done with the wood and marble and such..it looks like a Cheescake Factory Spa...architecture-wise. LOL. Emily and Trin always take care of me, chide me for this or that, dote on me for whatever reason, but they are always about business and have made me feel welcome from day one. The location is good, except if you get caught in the traffic at that intersection of Fields Ertel and Mason Montgomery during a crappy time of day, you're toast. I can picture a birthday party or a bridal shower being held here. I had one of the best experiences when Joseph D. did my nails He has wonderful technique and a gentle touch. My nails came out perfectly even though he never did my hands before and I have problematic nail shapes. We had wonderful conversation about a number of topics, he is very knowledgeable and friendly. I've been going here for three years and always have been pleased! Looks like some may never be happy and want free things in life from a few reviews! The staff has always been kind and accommodating! I've been there with my sister, daughter, and boyfriend. We have been pampered well! They are the only place that listened to my request of short nails. The designs with my daughters nails were incredibly detailed and creative. If someone isn't happy and doesn't speak up for correction before payment and complains days later, then rates a company poorly then that's the persons problem, not a company's. It's a clean, friendly, accommodating, well run establishment! My advice is to try this place because you won't regret it! I will returning as a happy customer. Customer service is very poor, the technicians my mom and I had barely spoke a single word to either of us. My pedicure lasted about 10 minutes, and the nail polish paint job didn't even cover the sides of my toe nails, nor were they even filed. She told my mom that my feet didn't take long and hers did because I'm young. lol, that's not a huge deal but just a tad rude in my opinion. She was so bad I couldn't say anything other than "this is bad". I had to tell her. So she politely stops and asks her sister to come help her. (Her sister is this Nancy that is mentioned is several other reviews.) They had to start a over.. soaking and everything. Ugh! Anyways, the Sister has no customer service skills. This place is absolutely amazing and I would not go anywhere else. I drive 20-25 minutes to get my nails done here every 3 weeks or so and I love it. The staff is so incredibly welcoming and is the main reason I come back, but their work is second to none. I can go and 4 weeks later the only issue with my shellac mani/pedi is that my nails have gotten longer! It still looks like it was done the day before. I went here after going to one of the Ambiance Nail Salons all across the city and I am even more impressed with this salon. No it isn't as flashy however you get more for less. At ambiance the sugar scrub is extra and here it is included. A spa(regular) pedi was only $30 which is cheaper than most other salons. I had a great nail tech, no issues with my pedi at all. TERRIBLE quality and experience. Technician Dino did a poor job with gel manicure. The color chipped and cracked in less than a week. Owner Nancy wouldn't allow a removal without extra payment. The removal is only $5 and I spent over $100 including tip. She had technician LIN file down the cracked nail paint. LIN was extremely rude and made the nails worse. She lied and said nail growth causes gel cracking...disappointed and shocked by the bad service. Never returning and DO NOT recommend to anyone. read more

A beautiful hidden gem in a strip mall. Once you walk in, you notice little details and get transported to a high-end spa. Classical music, ornate table lamps, throw pillows in the high back chairs, chandeliers, oriental rugs, and columns encircling the main room. I love that there aren't any TVs so you can really relax and zone out during your equally luxurious pedicure or manicure. Once in awhile (like last time I was here), the work can be sloppy at times depending on who you get (the tech didn't fully take off my blue nail polish before putting a sheer pink on top and it showed through, a piece of nail hung off on one nail and she just pulled it and then had to file a lot to get it even again and the polish was streaky).
