We were visiting from out of town and my Cousin suggested we come to The Bishop District. A colorful neighborhead with unique shops and the place I liked most of all Espumoso Caffe. The staff were really friendly and I ordered the Dulce de Leche Latte at their recommendation. Yummy, it was so good! I was also surprised to see that they had Empanadas. I tried the Meat and Potato and let me tell you, it was really savory. This was an excellent stop during our exploration of the neighborhood. read more

Perfect amount of sweetness, and also reasonably priced with how expensive coffee shops have been getting lately! A medium sized drink is only $5.25 - definitely recommend this spot. There's some tables inside to be able to sit and enjoy your drink/food. My drink was ready pretty quickly! read more

There's nothing like a fun drink to hold while you are shopping! I randomly stopped in on a Sunday morning. It took a while to receive my drink, but it wasn't really busy. They were out of some menu items, so choices were limited. I ordered a honey + vanilla latte and it was very very sweet. I think this is a fine stop, but nothing I will be going out of the way for. read more

The place is small but the coffee was good. Whenever we walked in we didn't even get greeted & I felt like the barista was just doing her job. She wasn't friendly or didn't make me feel like coming back. The pastries look good but we just got coffee since we had just ate. read more

This coffeeshop is a little gem in Bishop Arts. While it was on the sweeter side for me, I still enjoyed the latte. What really got my attention were the empanadas! It's a cute spot and would be adorable to work in on a rainy day. read more

This place in Bishop Arts is a must stop and try! The coffee is delicious. The service is always great and the servers have a smile! But the star of the show are there empanadas! My favorite is the chicken and cheese empanada and the beef and potato empanada. It comes with delicious salsa and everything is so flavorful! This place is a must try. It's a great place to meet up and talk with friends indoors or out the ambiance is chilled! read more

Haven't visited in a long time. Not sure but I'm thinking there is new ownership? I tried asking but they wouldn't elaborate just that they're no longer doing points. They weren't too friendly with the customers after us which was a turn off. I had the café con leche and it wasn't the same. You really can't go wrong with this drink. Not sure what happened here. It wasn't great. My friend had hers iced and she said it was okay. She also had an empanada and couldn't finish it. It was supposed to be ham and cheese. There wasn't much ham, just lots of cheese. The upgrades are very cute and modern. Nice looking shop! read more

I stopped in at Espumoso with my husband and brother last weekend when we were exploring Bishop Arts for an hour or so. We had gotten in late the night before (well, 2am that morning, really) due to delays and then had gotten up early that morning to attend a high school graduation. So by the afternoon, I needed a coffee. Badly. So we stopped in a Espumoso and grabbed a couple of coffees (we didn't eat, because we had dinner reservation in just an hour or so, but I'd love to try their food another time). My espresso was exactly what the doctor ordered. The cafe is small but comfortable, and the service was fantastic. Just a very nice experience. Would be happy to return for another coffee and a snack next time. read more

Great spot to duck into and grab an iced coffee as you continue exploring the Bishop Arts area and all it's charm. While shopping for vinyl down the way I was ready for a caffeine kick I noticed Espumoso Caffe. Popping in there was no line so we were able to get our iced coffees super fast. Cool spots to sit and hang out for a minute if you got sometime. There was also a nice couch spot in the corner with free magazines to read. As I read other reviews I am sad I didn't take advantage of ordering and having an empanada. Next time I am in the area I will definitely come back in and try one. read more

Espumoso Empanadas! This little communist themed coffee shop seems to be the place on Bishop to get coffee and empanadas! When I stopped in, I didn't realize it was the clerk outside having a cigarette that she jusst lit up... I went in, and she seemed annoyed right off having me in there. I got an empanada to go, which was pretty dang good. It was a light fluffy pastry around some picadillo ground beef, fried to perfection. The empanadas are pre-made, and kept hot in a special heated box. They offered a wide variety of coffees, but I declined. The decor seemed to be locally themed art, with neat and interesting stuff. I thought the place was cool and had good music, so I jammed out on the patio with my empanada instead of taking it to go. The clerk got back to her smoke, so everything worked out. read more

Cute coffee shop! But the service was awful. The two girls working the day we went in were not friendly at all. My friend brought me here after our hot Pilates class around the corner. I got the honey lavender iced latte and two chicken and cheese empanadas. The coffee was fair. Kind of expensive. $7 after a tip for one lg flavored coffee. It was very sweet also. The Cuban coffee was not very strong and was also very sweet for my tastes. The empanada was small and just ok. Service was fast but not friendly at all.over all if your in the area maybe stop in but I would not definitely go out of my way again to mate a trip here for breakfast and coffee. Price was high for what you get in my opinion. read more

The empanadas and acaí bowls are a 10/10. The matcha is amazing! Baristas as well were very kind. I definitely recommend to stop by!

Best empanadas i've ever tired and the best service ever! Yall have to try the acai bowls they're so good

They have great pastries! I ordered the Romeo and Juliet, which is guava and cream cheese. The breading itself was extra flaky but still held sturdy. The only complaint I have was that the inside feeling could've been more warmed up. The cream cheese was still somewhat cold, but I was glad that this was not lava hot. The lemon bar was ok. While Im glad it was not sickly sweet, its lack of pop in lemon, sugar, or a buttery crust left me in buyers remorse. While I will not completely dismiss their lemon bars, I personally cannot recommend them. Nor would I buy them for myself. If you are craving a lemon dessert but want it mild and tame for your tea time, then this is a great match for you. While I did not try their smoothies or coffee, it seems like everyone was in there ordering drinks. That seems to be their main business, even though their empanadas are specialty of theirs. read more

For years now, I've known of this Latin coffee shop. Reservations I had to try it due to how dark and weathered it looked inside. Truly my loss of time in finding their signature sips and bites. Beautiful was their "Caffee Con Leche". Amazing was their guava and cream cheese filled "Romeo & Julieta". Tasty was the filling of "Beef and Potato", sadly the crust was hard due to it was overheated. From this still pleasant experience, every once in awhile, I'll stop in for a Caffee Con Leche and Romeo & Julieta; and, to be safe of the right way to reheat, order of their savory empanadas to go. Cheers! read more

Have been to this location twice now and have never left disappointed. Their coffee is strong and I always add hazelnut and oat milk. A must to have the energy to walk around the Arts district in the heat. I get the cold brew. We also bought some empanadas. Very tasty. I have yet to try the tres leches, but it also looks delicious. Staff is very warm and friendly and quick to serve. read more

Wow, what a great empanada! I get the beef and potato ones and they are so flavorful - even without any additional sauce or salsa. I really love coming to this cafe and the most recent time I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't have the AC blasting and it was still comfortable. The only downside I'd say is that their wifi network was giving me some issues but I just used the hotspot on my phone and I was able to work just fine. read more

Out visiting bishop arts district on a hot day! There are a lot of shops and cafes to stop at but this one caught my eye. I got a americano and tried the beef and potato empanada. Situated in the very heart of Bishop Arts, this is one of my favorite coffee shops. The coffee is wonderful and they have a full selection of Latin American pastries as well as ice cream. The window seat is the best spot for people watching in the neighborhood. I like that they have local art hanging on the walls and a bulletin board for community events. During COVID they've set out some sidewalk cafe tables which is much appreciated. A few caveats: MIND THE STEP! Even when I'm looking out for it, I feel like I stumble over it every time. Also, there are no public restrooms. What's up with that?? I'll still give 5 stars, based on the coffee and atmosphere alone. read more

This place, hands down, has the best empanadas I've had in Dallas. I love a good empanada, and the ones here are always fresh and taste homemade in the best way possible. They are flavorful, and stuffed to the fullest with the filling. They come with a really delicious salsa that takes it over the top. My favorite is the potato and beef but the chicken and cheese is also good. At only $3.75 ish a pop, these are a great alternative to a sweet treat with coffee. Make a quick good protein rich breakfast too. If you are walking by, definitely stop in for an empanada. read more
