Short and simple 1. One of the best almond croissants I've ever had 2. If you are a regular, it seems like this is the place to be 3. If you're just popping in the vibe can be a bit off and the customer service is a bit abrasive kind of like you don't belong 4. Overall seems like a cool enough neighborhood place that I would give it another try one day

A perfect cortado and a nice place to hang out for an hour while I work out what I'm going to see after I cross the Trinity River into Dallas. Sitting at the counter, I was able to reach a power cable over to a power outlet. You'd be surprised how much power is consumed taking pictures of bridges and cemeteries in West Dallas! My coffee was perfectly done, served in the correct glass. Just the right amount of espresso and steamed milk. This was the boost I needed for morning energy. Friendly service, a nice modern coffee bar, this was five stars. [Review 763 of 2024 - 522 in Texas - 21794 overall]

Stopped in today for quick Iced Coffee. That wasn't so quick. Very odd experience while ordering my coffee. Not a smooth experience. Maybe try and focus on making coffee instead asking about my day. Not trying to be rude but I must leave this review because this isn't the first time of this happening.

    Friendly service. Tasty coffee.

Friendly service tasty coffee. I met there for an interview and the place was clean and seemed like a good working hub. Great for outdoor work space as well.

Made a stop here with a friend to work remotely! I ordered the "Hearts of Texas" - a chocolate strawberry drink. The picture in store, as well as on their Instagram, advertised the drink to have red latte art. Mines just looked like a regular latte heart, which was still pretty to look at. Cup is a bit smaller and price was a tad higher than most other coffee shops I've been to. However, the barista made the drink super fast and he was friendly. It tasted pretty sweet - almost like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee and strawberry. The drink had a nice creaminess to it, although I wished the coffee flavor was slightly more present. Definitely would recommend to people with a sweet tooth While the inside is very ~vibey~ and aesthetic for studying/working, note that there is a lack of outlets. I spotted 2 (one in the front patio and one in the back). Otherwise, they have USB outlets.

I love this location so convenient. Easy access and you get dessert. Vegan and vegetarian option is available. You are welcome to walk I grab coffee and go. As well you come in sit down and talk to first or do your work at the coffee bar

I love this place! Located in Sylvan 30, next to a food co-op, this is a charming coffee shop. There's a semi-enclosed back patio where you can take your kids or dogs, a few sidewalk tables out front in the courtyard parking area and some seating inside as well. The baristas have been very friendly and chatty on each of my visits here. My kiddo loves the sprinkle donuts that make up the bulk of the limited pastry menu. They specialize in high quality pour-overs here, but I usually get a latte. Bathrooms are large and clean - this is a great place to get a little work done on a weekday or relax on a weekend.

We stopped by Houndstooth Coffee as we wanted to work remotely from a coffee shop. Parking is available just outside the coffee shop, and there is also street parking nearby. There is also seating inside the shop and outside. We went inside the coffee shop, which had the atmosphere of a plant lover's paradise and was incredibly clean. Additionally, there is a lot of seating, so finding a seat won't be a problem. I approached the counter and placed an order for the iced vanilla latte with autumn foam. The addition of the Autumn foam to any beverage changed the game and was incredibly tasty. This coffee shop was a nice place to work remotely for a few hours as the noise level had always been reasonable throughout the day.

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.

It's more yeast like, which I prefer in a donut. New banana coffee donut was interesting, I really liked the crumby part outside but wish the coffee flavor stood out more. Vanilla drink with whole milk - the vanilla shots were strong and should've done oat milk instead. That would make it taste much better Overall, great experience and love the new flavors they experiment with! My thoughts - in the more yeasty-donuts, add a layer of filling inside!
