    Cacao cappuccino

Amazing and kind service, quality and flavor also great! I got a cappuccino with the house made cacao syrup(it's not sweetened!). It was delicious. I'm not a big sweets person so this was a treat tasting the cacao with the espresso. So good, if I was local I would be here often.

    Vanilla Latte!

Came here not really sure what to order, but the barista was super friendly and helped me pick something out, I ended up going with a traditional vanilla latte. I'm usually more of a iced coffee person, but wow, this was actually so good! The place itself has such a cozy vibe; perfect spot to get some work done or just chill and study. Honestly, I'll definitely be coming back to get some work done!

Espresso drinks are amazing for both the traditional drinker and those who love Starbucks! Service was okay, they forgot to make my girlfriend's drink as an iced beverage and when I asked them about it, they sort of gaslighted me and told me that they'll check the receipt to see if that was what was ordered. They ended up making it again anyways which I appreciated. Ambiance is amazing and would definitely come again! Not sure if I would recommend ordering an iced drink though.

On my way to Austin I looked up this place on google. They do not do to go cups for coffee. You buy a mason jar, or simply make a deposit for one, and can bring it back next time you want coffee to go. I also bought a loaf of bread and banana bread. Everything was fresh and tasty. And I loved the decor and friendly staff.

I love this place! It's a drive from McKinney but I do make sure to go from time to time. The coffee is incredible and so are the pastries and breakfast items. Service is friendly and it's a very fun atmosphere.

2nd time having oak cliff beans, and I just think its not my preferred bean. so many small things I was disappointed with from the overall experience. togo cups are not a thing, cost $2 if you wanted your drink togo. The bar stool type chairs were wobbly. No alternative milk options I got an iced mocha latte regular milk the beans were just off from normal. I was skimming around, with a packed house, but no one was bringing their cup up to drink it. Sweetness was lacking. Tried my friends vanilla cold brew, as someone new to cold brew, it felt "ok" but he loves cold brew but did not like the drink. Sadly, did not finish more then a few sips, bad seats, would not come back

Coffee is is great. Service can be a bit slow during bust times. Outdoor seating is next to the shop so away from the street traffic. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

Buttered toast and toast and jam with a chocolate chai

My boyfriend and I love exploring coffee shops in Dallas and stumbled upon this one when looking for places in BA. We both loved it here! I got the special of a chocolate chai which was delicious. My boyfriend got a cold brew which he said he really liked. I got the buttered toast which they put a perfect amount of flakey salt on and my boyfriend the toast and wild berry jam. We both really enjoyed these options! Service was great the barista was helpful in answering questions. Will definitely come back if in the area!

They do what they do really well. This place gets a bad rap bc they don't offer *any* milk alternatives or flavors. I've heard stories of rude baristas denying customers their mocha frap and oat milk lattes (my fav) but I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a combo of customers not handling the bad news graciously and baristas who are tired of having the same arguments. If you have time, you want a coffee (for here) and you don't mind regular milk. Check it out. Otherwise maybe try something else. The cortado was excellent

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.

It's more yeast like, which I prefer in a donut. New banana coffee donut was interesting, I really liked the crumby part outside but wish the coffee flavor stood out more. Vanilla drink with whole milk - the vanilla shots were strong and should've done oat milk instead. That would make it taste much better Overall, great experience and love the new flavors they experiment with! My thoughts - in the more yeasty-donuts, add a layer of filling inside!
