Ven Aqui is the best new restaurant in town by far! The staff is extremely warm and inviting the atmosphere is simple and elegant. The music is on point. The food knocks it out of the park! Everything I have tried, and I have been there three times has been phenomenal! The shrimp ceviche is the best in Dallas and the sea bass is the best I've ever had, and I have traveled the world. If you like Mezcal, the El Rey is the bomb!

Bishop Arts' newest restaurant! We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Ven Aquí Cocina! The food was amazing (chef's kiss)! We were there on Sunday evening, it was relaxing and they had good music on the background! Definitely want to go back!

Funky little gem tucked away on Davis. Food was delicious, especially the tacos. Ceviche was solid, as was the guac. Had the beef and chicken quesadillas, which had a ton of cheese; different than most Mexican cheeses. We'll definitely come back to try their steaks and lambchops

Our bartender Sophia was amazingggg! Super friendly, relatable, and such a vibe! She was very knowledgeable on how to make drinks and gave us amazing recommendations. For our first time here--the atmosphere was elegant and upscale looking. Would come back!

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was out of this world.... Would definitely go back.

Hidden and sexy. Food is a beautiful fusion of Latin, my fav would have to be the Puerto Rican influence of the chef. Owner provided wonderful service but I would recommend the wait staff provide more upscale professional service instead of bottle girl vibes.

Saturday brunch and this place wasn't packed...umm why?!…read more Friendly and fast service was maintained throughout the experience. The interior is an upscale cantina with fun decoration. There's front seating outdoors as well for folks who like that good old Texas weather. For my food sensitive folks, heads up, the salmon benedict was eggs benedict with lox. I was expecting a salmon fillet at first so it took a moment to adjust. Food anxiety and flavor preference is a real thing that can ruin a meal, might wanna update the menue to delineate dishes with strong flavors. I was expecting salmon fillet and the smoked saltiness of lox was unexpected. Regardless, the salad and potatoes were delectable. Definitely a brunch spot I'll visit again.

As soon as we were seated, we were given water immediately. But then it took a while for our server to come to the table. We were both hungry--probably on the verge of hangry--so we were about to leave. Just as we were deciding, the server showed up--thank goodness! We ordered drinks and the beef empanadas. They came out pretty quickly and were delicious. I'm a big fan of empanadas, and these did not disappoint. The pastry was crusty, flaky, and golden brown, and the beef was seasoned really well. I really liked the chimichurri sauce--very mild and flavorful. We thought the drinks were going to be just okay--an old fashioned with coconut--but we were wrong! They were not weak at all, and there was just a hint of coconut. The plan was to have two each, but one did the trick. For the mains, the man had the skirt steak with a baked potato, and I had the shrimp enchiladas with esquites. Both meals were delicious, but the skirt steak was extra yum (probably because it belonged to the man--his food always tastes better ). The enchiladas had a lot of shrimp. Just a little less sauce would have been perfect, but I'd still order them again and just ask them to go easy on the sauce. The esquites were super yummy--definitely ordering that again. We spent about $145 with tip. The server ended up being on the slower side all night, but we laughed it off and said it was like island time. We'll definitely keep this place in the rotation.

We had seen the place on Yelp and planned to grab something quick to go, but it turned into a great stop. The location is fantastic and convenient near the airport. The hostess was welcoming right away and directed us to the bar so we could place a quick to-go order. At the bar, the bartender gave excellent service and convinced us to try a couple of tacos along with the yuca fries and plantains we originally planned to order--and I'm glad he did. The Tacos Al Carbón were outstanding: grilled fajita beef with sautéed poblano and onion on flour tortillas topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice were just right, and the plantains with coconut sauce were a perfect addition. The bartender also recommended a Stone Delicious IPA, which made the short wait enjoyable. We grabbed a Tamarindo agua fresca and bolitas de yuca for the road--light, flavorful, and perfect for the drive. Great food, great service, and a great find near the airport. Definitely worth stopping in.

For appetizers, we enjoyed the queso verde which was very green with roasted poblano, & corn. We chose to add short rib to it as well and it was quite tasty. Definitely more of a liquid-y dip than a queso fundido style. Along with a trio of salsas and chips. I had the beef fajita for my meal and I enjoyed it and it his the Tex-mex spot for me as well don't have many Mexican restaurants in SoCal that serve fajitas. It was a nostalgic treat. My friend got the short rib enchiladas with queso oaxaca, red chile sauce, crema, radish, cilantro, queso fresco & caramelized onion. She really liked it as well even though she said the red chile sauce was spicy for her. My margarita was tasty as well.

It seemed like an elevated resturant you'd like to celebrate a special meal with loved ones. They do offer a happy hour so we were able to save a dollar or so but for the most part the menu is pricey. My rating is based off sides. I'm not bothered by spending more money or purchasing a side separately however, when it's not cooked well or missing ingredients it makes the meal a little disconnected. This may be due to expecting more from a "nicer" place but the truth is it will always come down to quality and this it was lacking this evening. What we ordered Amarillo Ceviche $22.00 ahi tuna, ají amarillo, leche de tigre, mango, cucumber, red onion - this appetizer was phenomenal we were all fighting for the last bite everything was do fresh and naturally a light app No complaints on our protein it was cooked to our preference 10oz Wagyu Picanha $58.00 14oz Prime Ribeye $68.00 Sides are sold separately Pork Belly Mac & Cheese $17.00. - Pork Belly and chorizo were subtle but loved the cheese and pasta Roasted Heirloom Carrots $17.00 - Were so roasted there was hardly any carrots
