This place just recently opened so I will give them a little grace but they do have a lot of kinks to work out. Our food came out very fast but that's probably the only good thing I could say about the food because all of the items we ordered tasted as if it was store bought and reheated. It just didn't taste fresh. The wait staff was very nice and professional and kept my water glasses filled. The waitress tried her best to hurry the bartender up but to no avail we were only given 1 cocktail in the hour and a half time we were there. We ordered drinks from our waitress but the bartender focused most of his time making the orders for patrons at the bar who'd come in after us. The space is very beautiful and is in a prime location. I didn't have the best experience ever but Im not opposed to trying them again in a few months.

Great service. Claudia was fantastic and very attentive. Recommend their version of a martini and their ceviche.

Paradiso has a unique feel because it has as much well-designed space outside as it does inside. The patio area feels more like a garden than patio. Even in the crazy Dallas heat you'll find people eating or cocktailing al fresco. The bar area is beautiful. It's covered in flowers and fun European style furniture. The bartenders were knowledgeable and fun to hang with because they clearly enjoy talking about their craft. Nothing worse than a bartender that is too important to chat it up with their customers. I had a delicious signature recipe called Dreaming of Suze (pic 2). It immediately caught my eye because Suze is a staple in our bar. It's a yellow French bitter liqueur you don't regularly find out at restaurants. I've never seen anyone infuse it. They complemented Mezcal with strawberry-infused Suze, sage syrup, lime and strawberry puree served in a tall glass over ice. It was a nice summer recipe and one I will definitely try to recreate at home. My second was a classic old fashioned made with Basil Hayden bourbon (pic 4) It was delicious and well-balanced. If you're in Dallas and want a change of pace from the usual, go down to Bishop Arts and take in the eclectic flavor while enjoying all the shops, restaurants and some cocktails at Paradiso. Salute @thejohnnycocktail Oh btw, that plate is the most delicious and beautiful hummus we've ever had!! Dreaming of Suze Mezcal Strawberry infused Suze Sage Syrup Lime Strawberry Puree

There's free parking across the street, but it often fills quickly during busy hours--which in Bishop Arts is most of the time. The décor is a fun mix of "Tex" and "Mex." The menu features tacos, enchiladas, soups, salads, and fajitas. They don't offer combo plates, so I ordered the tacos pastor along with a side of crispy beef tacos. Both were excellent and served promptly. Bonus: the draft beer was ice-cold. The wait staff checked in often, making my Friday late lunch a relaxing break. Definitely worth a visit!

Everything was so damn good! The guac was guac'ing! Chunks of avocado in the guac (how I like it!). The white fish and shrimp in the ceviche was so fresh and well seasoned. The taco was equally delicious I ordered a skinny cucumber margarita. It was just ok. I like my drinks strong (I like to taste my 'likkuh') and this wasn't strong at all, but it was quite refreshing. The complimentary chips and salsa is bomb!!! "Fresh" is the theme of my review lol. You can tell the salsa is freshly made and not straight out of a can or jar. It had a nice spicy kick.

They have a dedicated bar area if you want to grab a drink. Want to highlight they have a solid drink menu; I tried a cold pressed pineapple juice that was super refreshing. Things got off on the wrong foot when our server forgot my cocktail order and an appetizer which was the pork ribs. Minutes after ordering the cocktail, appetizer and a bottle of wine our server came back saying we needed to order every dish up front. At that moment we told them we do like to take our time and share dishes as they come out one by one and he honestly seemed happy to hear that. They then brought the wine but the cocktail was again completely forgotten. One of our other items showed up fist (kimchi pancakes), which I will say were great, but we then asked about the ribs and he confirmed he completely forgot about them. He said he put the ribs in as a rush and they would come out with one other dish. We said this would be fine, but not minutes after the ribs arrived all four other dishes showed up simultaneously. Our table was overcrowded, and it completely took away from the leisurely dining experience we were expecting. To make matters worse, two of the dishes--the baby carrots and the Korean glass noodles, were swimming in sauce, so much so we didn't want to eat them. While this may not be the case we felt rushed. We had received all of our food in less than an hour. The overall service made us feel like the restaurant was trying to turn the table as quickly as possible for the next reservation rather than provide a thoughtful dining experience. For a restaurant at this price point and pedigree, we expected much better pacing, attention to detail, and execution. Unfortunately, this visit fell well short of those expectations.
