    Taco Tron Chorizo

Came on a Saturday night, we had a reservation and were seated on time. Service was slow even though the restaurant was empty. The entire table ordered tacos and we waited an hour for them. One of the tacos had a long hair in it. For the price of the food and service, would not recommend.

Brunch burger. Fries were a bit like those from the frozen food section at grocery store

Came for brunch on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. Overall consensus from group was that it may be a spot for drinks, but not for food. Pros: decor, music, cocktails (according to friends), and chips and salsa Cons: limited gluten free options at brunch, severely overpriced for portion size ($19 for guacamole and chicharrones -- you get 7 of them for that price and they charge $3 for extra), the waitstaff had limited knowledge of menu and what an item actually was (for example I was told a dessert was a cheesecake, then a cake, then a bread pudding (mind you the menu mentions none of these items in the description)), and there are only two tables but the service was quite slow.

Bocado saved our night!!!! We had the most phenomenal meals (steak was amazing, sides were impecable, cocktails were AMAZEBALLS) - celebrating our bride to be! The staff (especially Natalie) made our night so special and memorable! I will be back here soon for a special date night with my husband - we live 40+ miles away - but this place is absolutely worth the drive!!!!!

Great place for cocktails! We didn't get to try the food but we got the sandia spritz ($13) and the espuma pasión ($14). The bartender made us an extra free sandia spritz so the service was so nice! The inside has a dim intimate vibe to it. Would be a great place for a date night or small group outing.

    Happy hour tacos

This place was tremendous. Beautiful interior and we were seated immediately. Service was very friendly and attentive. I had the three tacos on their happy hour menu...each one was better than the last. Three salsas as well to try. Excellent all around. Don't sleep on this one, Dallas!

Try the Chilaquiles & French Toast!

I tried this place for brunch yesterday, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The service was outstanding--staff were constantly checking in, making sure everything was perfect, and even refilling bottles for you without needing to ask! Now, the food--truly top tier! Every dish was packed with flavor, and you can really taste the effort they put into preserving authentic, traditional flavors. To top it all off, there was a lively mariachi band that interacted with guests, adding so much energy and fun to the experience.Easily a 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back!

Taco capricho, Colbrus, chicharron, pork belly

Finally got to try this place! They've done a great job at redecorating the space, but it was a bit empty for a Thursday night, which resulted in our waitress being a little too attentive. I really enjoyed the sangria and the food was pretty tasty. The taco capricho were probably my favorite from what we tried. We also got the sea bass tacos which were slightly disappointing. The colbrus was good, the sauce complimented the Brussel sprouts well and was very savory. I liked the other dishes, but what bothered me was that in every dish, the meat portion is little baby chunks, which is hidden in a bunch of fluffy veggies. I would've preferred larger pieces of meat that I didn't have to go fishing for in the dish.

Food is okay, nothing I would ever go back for. Margaritas were good expect it took 25 minutes to get a frozen margarita which is absurd! The service was awful! I had called a month prior to book for a large party that way the restaurant could accommodate but they lack efficiency and service. I asked for water 5 times and I wish I was lying and it wasn't until I asked for the manager that they brought water. Don't waste your money here it's not worth it.

Amazing service and great food/drinks! Definitely recommend for date night. If you're a fan of mezcal get the Apasionada!

I visited this restaurant for the first time with friends for the love island watch party that was being promoted on their IG page. I ordered the NY steak ($38) with fries & a Paloma negra. I was very disappointed on the quality of the food , service & cocktails. The Steak was grey & did not come with fries as listed on the menu, instead the steak was sitting on top of fried French onions also the steak sauce was not good at all. The Paloma negra was very bitter and I choose not to drink it. I did return the steak and ordered 3 tacos arrlon and it was okay. I will not be visiting this restaurant again. The waitress kept apologizing because she took 30 + mins to bring out our cocktails and mentioned she did not expect it to be this busy even though their IG was promoting a watch party.

La coqueta and tortita ahogada for me, and a margarita and chilaquiles verdes for her
    Paul C.

TL;DR: for their first time serving brunch, it was a nice meal with some areas to improve on. With time, I could see it becoming a regular spot for me! I'd been meaning to try Bocado after Dahlia closed down. We came in with brunch reservations not realizing it was actually their first day offering brunch! We got lucky with street parking on Hall, but they also have valet. Ambience: there was a big group having a baby shower, so it was a little hectic with kids and families, but not a big deal. Otherwise, it was clean with dark decor. Service: our server Manuela, along with the rest of the staff, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. There did seem to be some miscommunication throughout the meal, like multiple servers checking in if we'd ordered or bringing extra salsa. But I know they were figuring things out, so the mild confusion wasn't a major concern. Drinks: - La coqueta: rum, pineapple, orange, and coconut. Very tasty and sweet, to the point where I couldn't really tell if it had alcohol... but good nonetheless. - Margarita: just from their regular menu. Definitely a solid marg! Food: - Tortita ahogada: loved the flavors of the dish, but it wasn't warm (again, maybe from it being their first day of brunch). FYI portion size is on the smaller side. - Chilaquiles verdes: although tasty, my partner wished it had more salsa and more spice. They ended up bringing a different orange salsa which definitely helped. Value: prices were mid-range - for Mexican breakfast/brunch, it's not the cheapest but also not too expensive. Overall, we still had an enjoyable meal with great service. I would return, but maybe after giving them some more time to nail out all the details and find their groove.

    Valentine's Day 4 course meal
    Brooke D.

Me and my boyfriend came here for a Valentine's Day dinner. Bocado had a four course pre set dinner menu which was lovely. When we walked in we were both handed a glass of champagne which was a nice touch. This spot has only been open for a month so I was very impressed with how they managed to pull off a holiday meal. The food was all great! I have no complaints there. The restaurants decor was very nice, I wish some of the lights were dimmed a bit more to really create an even more romantic atmosphere but that's me being super critical. I am excited to see how this spot does as they continue to get more experience!

There is a sentence on CBD Provisions' Instagram that I want to read to you because it is doing a…read morelot of work in very few words. "A brasserie in boots." That's it. That's the whole thing. French discipline, Texas spirit, six syllables, no further explanation offered or required, and if you do not immediately understand exactly what that means the moment you walk into The Joule on Main Street then I do not know what to tell you except that the rosemary tallow fries are going to clarify things very quickly. CBD Provisions opened in 2013 as the Joule Hotel's in-house restaurant, became famous for a crispy pig's head carnitas that required you to pull strips of meat off an actual half pig's head at the table and tuck them into tortillas, which is a dish so committed to its own bit that it belongs in a museum, and then closed in July 2025 for a months-long renovation that brought in new culinary director Sezer Deniz. Deniz trained under Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has twenty-plus years in Michelin-starred kitchens including Alinea in Chicago. He is now making breakfast tacos inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and I want to be very clear that this is a promotion. The room has exposed brick and wood floors and steel beams and mosaic tile and antique mirrors and railcar booth seating and a center banquette and stone tabletops, all of which sounds like it should be competing with itself but instead produces the specific feeling of a place that has been here long enough to know what it is. I sat at the bar, which is the correct place to sit, and ordered the short rib corn cake stack, which is braised short rib and avocado and two poached eggs and a poblano hollandaise and which arrives looking like the cover of a cookbook that does not exist but absolutely should. The poblano hollandaise is the detail I keep returning to. Not regular hollandaise. Poblano hollandaise. Someone in that kitchen made a decision to take a classical French sauce with two centuries of culinary tradition behind it and introduce it to a pepper from Puebla, Mexico, and what resulted is something that makes you look at regular hollandaise and think, you had potential, you just never reached it. I ate the entire thing and then contemplated ordering another one and then did not because I am a person with limits, technically. The CBD Provisions burger is a double smash with American cheese and grilled onion and house pickles and something called fancy sauce, which is a name I respect enormously because it is not pretending to be anything other than exactly what it is. It comes with rosemary tallow fries, which are the reason I will order this burger every time I come here for the rest of my life. Rosemary. Tallow. Fries. Three words that in combination produce something that should be legally classified as a controlled substance. French in method, Texan in manner. Boots and a brasserie. The Joule has been on Main Street for years and CBD Provisions has been feeding people inside it for over a decade, new chef and new tile floors notwithstanding, and it has figured out the thing that most hotel restaurants never figure out, which is that the goal is not to remind you that you are eating in a hotel. The goal is to make you forget entirely. I forgot entirely. The tallow fries helped.

The reservation required prepayment, was nonrefundable, just shy of $5k per night and required additional paperwork. This was my second time reserving this room in the past year. I flew in from Fort Lauderdale, stayed in a smaller suite the first night. The following morning, I was informed that the penthouse would not be available because the current occupant had an emergency and the hotel "was obligated" to allow them to remain. I was moved to a different penthouse, given a significant discount, and treated professionally by management. However, the issue was never the discount. The issue was that the accommodation I specifically selected, prepaid for, and planned my trip around was not honored. The Loft Penthouse was nice. The staff was courteous. But after traveling from Florida for a once-in-a-lifetime reunion, I left with the understanding that even a prepaid, nonrefundable reservation for a specialty suite may not actually be secure. That's something future guests should know when making their plans. What troubles me most is that this occurred during the FIFA Club World Cup, when Dallas was hosting numerous athletes, celebrities, executives, sponsors, and VIP guests. While I have no way of knowing who remained in the penthouse, it is difficult not to notice that a reservation I made nearly two weeks in advance, prepaid in full, and completed additional paperwork for was the reservation that was displaced. If the Penthouse and Loft Penthouse were truly equivalent accommodations, there should have been no issue relocating the guest who extended their stay to the Loft Penthouse rather than relocating the guest who had prepaid for the Penthouse nearly two weeks in advance. The partial refund that was offered, does not restore the experience that I booked and planned around. What I experienced was unfulfillment of a contractual obligation from the hotel's end while I kept my end of the contractual obligation. Whether I was the least important person in the room or simply the easiest to inconvenience - What was done cannot be undone.
