When I arrived for my appointment on 8/20/2026, the staff was phenomenal. I worked with Leslie M., and she was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond to help me and ease my mind by keeping me updated throughout the entire process. Leslie called me within two hours of dropping my car off to let me know the diagnostic was complete. She explained that they were waiting for my warranty company to approve the claim and that they were already ordering the necessary parts. My biggest concern was how long the parts would take because of my upcoming work trip. Then, around 4:30 p.m., Leslie called me again to let me know the warranty had approved the claim, the parts had arrived, and they had already installed everything! My car was ready for pickup that same day. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly everything was handled. The customer service, technicians, and entire staff were incredible. They worked so efficiently and did an amazing job. I cannot thank Leslie enough for going the extra mile, rushing the process, and keeping me informed every step of the way. Well, it has been almost 90 days, and they offered to buy the truck back because they weren't able to get the title, and my insurance company was getting ancy because of California law.. My husband and I called a few times during this waiting period and finally, in September, we just showed up in person to CarMax (while planning his mother's funeral). Guess what! The day we showed up is the day the main office got the duplicate title (huh)! We test drove a few cars anyway, but we left with our truck and a promise it will be registered with the DMV immediately. Fingers crossed... UPDATE: After we left CarMax on Thursday, we got a call on Friday asking us to bring the truck back in because they need to smog it and take it to be weighed to register it. Sigh. So we are back again waiting in the waiting room to get our truck back. They compensated us for gas ($33), but really? So, my advice is to make sure they have your correct address in case they "try to get in touch with you" (there is more than one place for it, apparently), and make sure they have already received the title before you buy the vehicle. I literally was told that I wasted his time even though there was no one there to buy a car and I've been looking at the same cars that they've had a lot for the past month and a half matter fact when I drove the first three cars, one of them had major problems. The other one did and then when I got to the third car, I barely drove off the lot and the car died. There was one car that I wanted to buy, and then I went for it and they wanted a lender fee. So after John heard the salesman saying that they need to collect a lender fee from me and that he's not sure if he can negotiate it. This man john decided to have a anxiety, nervous panic attack breakdown and tell me that I basically wasted his whole day wasted his time he doesn't wanna do business with me. I spoke with the service manager, a sales rep, one tech and all three assured me that it's absurd to expect a customer to cover a nearly $8000 power-train repair on a truck this new. I applied for Ford's "Goodwill Assistance" program but was told I do not qualify and that they couldn't tell me why. I was offered a $1,500 discount (the price they charged me to diagnose) IF I completed the nearly $8000 worth of work, but I declined to give them any more of my money. I walked away; they got $1000 and I got a truck that doesn't work. If you're a loyal, paying customer, this is what it gets you here: a defective vehicle, a runaround, and a massive bill with zero accountability.
