    Underbelly of vehicle received. Full of mud.

    Found vehicle I wanted, completed everything online- including a trade in. Selected delivery date and all on time. Delivery driver was great and vehicle looked good- that is until the next day in the light. The underbelly of the vehicle was caked in mud. No big deal, I will contact Carvana and they will make it right- nope. They said sorry and offered me $100 toward a detail- that will take about three weeks to receive OR I could just return the vehicle. Now if this was at a standard dealer they would have made it right. They tripped over $100 to never have a return customer

    Well, I wanna make sure that you as a viewer know that my interaction with Carvana Ontario was no problem at all. My issue is with Carvana online and the fact that they did not show up for two scheduled pick ups of my vehicle and that caused a tremendous amount of problems because you have to have a reservation with them. The first one I received no information the second one they called me two hours before they were supposed to arrive and told me they would not be arriving and wanted to reschedule for a week later. That did not work obviously and I was paying $40 to them for them to come to my house. So in order to make my business trip, I had to scramble and drive down to Westminster California to drop off my car, and I believe I'm out $40 for having to do that. I just thought this was bad business practice. If you make up an appointment with somebody, you keep the appointment! I will tell you that my interaction with the employees in the Westminster office was excellent! The gentleman who helped me was knowledgeable, kind fast and the process was awesome. So all in all I really like Carvana, but I don't like making an appointment with somebody and then having it canceled and being charged for it.

    Detailing not done despite being checked off

    Detailing never done, and advertised "installed options" missing. This was my first experience with Carvana, and it was a big disappointment. Although it took over one month for me to be able to take possession of the car after I committed to buy it and although I was told during that time that it was going through the intensive 150 point inspection and full detailing, much of that was untrue -- in fact, the car appears to have had no inspection and no detailing. -- when I arrived at the Ontario, California pickup location, the employee told me that it had "just been detailed" there, which didn't match what I had been told previously. At the pickup location, I noticed that: -- there were (removable) stains on the seats; -- there was sand under the front and rear seats; -- almost all the switches and buttons had dirty fingerprints all over them; -- the jack and all tools were missing; in their place was an old baseball -- the original floor mats were not in place and non-fitting very cheap ones were there instead, including a loose and dangerous one on the driver's floor -- upon arrival at home, I noticed that there was an old vape pen stuck with tar residue to the side of one of the rear storage shelves; there was dust all over the engine and some leaves; there were more stains on the seats and some sticky stain on the driver's seat, and there was a "popping sound" every time the rear passenger side door is opened. (Thankfully, the popping sound was fixed by tightening a bolt inside the door) KIA did an inspection and reported that the battery is weak and should be replaced ($ 430 including tax plus $ 113 labor) parts that were missing: - OEM Kia front passenger floor mat - Jack and tools - Cargo net - Cargo cover When I asked Carvana about the missing jack and tools, they argued that they were "removable accessories", which is absolutely crazy. The jack is necessary for basic roadside safety, and the tools are required to lower the spare tire... How could that miss their 150-point inspection and "road ready" inspection? Carvana offered $300 to address all identified issues and missing parts. Based on this offer, and because we had already completed a Kia dealer inspection and replaced the cabin air filter at our own expense, we reluctantly chose to keep the vehicle.

    They took the down payment from my bank account before telling me I didn't qualify for the car I wanted. Now I have to wait 10-15 days before I get my 3600 dollars refunded. This is some shady business behavior! I highly recommend for anyone looking to purchase a car, look elsewhere before using Carvana.

But I researched it and decided to go for it. It turned out to be the perfect happy medium between doing a dealership trade in (most convenient but least amount of money for your car) and selling my car privately (huge hassle but most amount of money for your car). I made an appointment and went to the Woodland Hills location. The whole thing took about an hour. They did an inspection, posted my car on their portal, and ran an online auction for 10 minutes where we watched a TV screen as about 50 dealers looked at my car. I got about 12 offers I think (10 is average) and I accepted the highest one. You don't have to; you could walk away if you wanted. But that offer was considerably higher than if I had sold my car to the dealership as a trade in. Maybe not as high as a private sale would have been because they are a middle man, but WAY less hassle. An hour versus weeks of fielding emails or phone calls, letting people test drive it only to be ghosted ... no thank you. They wrote me a check right there and I left my car. I had a friend pick me up. It was SO easy. I will definitely do this option again next time. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who handled everything; she was great!! Shout out to her and apologies for forgetting her name!

They approve the entire process, I come in and they hard inquired my credit and asked two twice while docking me points due to their discrepancy. We drove from Venice California. They asked to check again and hard knock my credit again to check again, did not offer to amend the mistake that they made while affecting peoples credit scores. The sales man kept walking to talk to his manager his manager hid behind the chair that was visibly behind us. I asked for something in writing to provide to my creditor due to their mistake to dispute and they had nothing to provide. This place is scamming businesses and consumers alike by blaming their international customer service line. To top this off, the notes placed also showed they said they left a VM. When no call or Voicemail was ever provided, I asked to pull the recorded calls and also no recollection on twist behalf. The manager finally comes out and says their is nothing I can do. The lack of customer service is clear, the manager stated,"you got $14,000?" No sense of logic to their own inconvenience to consumers. Recommendations to report to BBB for unethical business practices.

One of those texts came from Jay at Car Trackers, and thank goodness it did. I was at my son's jiu-jitsu class when he contacted me, and I stepped outside expecting another lowball offer. Instead, we talked for almost 30 minutes, connected instantly, and he told me confidently that he could beat everyone's offer. I sent him photos the next day, and within 45 minutes he called back saying he could get me exactly what I wanted. I researched the company (they even have a TikTok!) and was impressed, so we moved forward. I met Jay at their Anaheim office, filled out one DMV form, and within 15 minutes, the money was in my account. Smoothest transaction ever. No stress, no games, no back-and-forth. Jay's customer service was outstanding. He understood that I needed to sell my car quickly so I could head straight to the dealership to pick up our new one, and he made it happen without any hassle. If you're in Southern California and need to sell your car, I highly recommend Car Trackers--especially Jay in the Anaheim office. I wish I had found these guys years ago.

The young guy who took me on the test drive was great -- you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. That kind of enthusiasm is rare, and it made the whole experience easy. And at the front desk, I was greeted by a young lady whose name -- I promise I am not making this up -- is Jennifer Lopez. Lol. I bought a 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I got home and ran the numbers myself, I was off from their figures by three dollars. Three. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons -- just taxes and DMV, exactly as discussed. They also buy and sell used vehicles, electric cars especially, so whether you're buying or selling it's worth giving them a call. Couldn't be happier with the experience.     I found Trade-in Solutions on Caredge.com and Cargurus.com originally, and based on the yelp…read morereviews and the great call I had with Jennifer from the dealership who followed up on my online inquiry about a 2023 Tesla Model Y they had in stock, I decided to book a test drive the next day (May 20th!) The listed price on their website for the VIN 7SAYGDEE2PA109095 was $29,388 as of May 19th when I looked and sent in the inquiry about the car online after-hours. Jennifer called in the morning May 20th and helped me set up the test drive same-day and was very helpful. The staff were all very nice, patient, and accommodating. They let me test drive + inspect the vehicle from head to toe. Adam led me on the test drive and let me test out everything I wanted to test out. After the test drive, one of the managers Jess sat me down in her office to talk purchase numbers - frankly I was ready to purchase the car immediately after how patient and upfront every one of their staff members had been! Sadly, that is where the pleasantries ended. Jess wrote up an out-the-door price that listed the car as $30,888. This was an increase in price overnight of $1500. I mentioned to Jess that it appears they had raised the price since I viewed it online, and that I felt a little bait and switched, but that if they would honor the original price they had listed the car for, I was still interested in purchasing it. Jess quickly hurried me out the office after going to talk to the store manager or someone, and reassured me that she would contact me regarding the pricing history of the car. She did, just 30 minutes later when I had sat down for lunch with my family. Jess insisted that I had been viewing a different VIN from a car that was now in Seattle despite the screenshots I have uploaded to this review proving the price increased unexpectedly (thankfully I still had their dealership's website open from the night before on my laptop when I got home, and I was able to download the original web page proving the price for this exact VIN was indeed originally $29,388 before I came in to test drive!) To stop the arguing and unnecessary back-and-forth, I asked her politely to confirm that the new price of $30,888 was the price they were going to stick with, and she confirmed that this was indeed the price they would stick with and that there was no changing the price. She further insisted that I was the one who was mistaken and that the car I viewed was not in their possession, and thanked me for coming in anyways and to have a nice day. While this kind of practice is not uncommon, reading the reviews on here for this dealership really did not lead me to expect this kind of bait-and-switch behavior! If Jess had simply told me they had a pricing error and the dealership wanted to sell the car for $30,888 and not $29,888, I would have accepted this and purchased the car anyways especially considering how accommodating the staff had been, but to lie to my face and try to convince me I was delusional? This goes against my moral compass and I cannot in good conscience support behavior like this. I am uploading pictures of the sales sheet and their company's website as further proof. However, I would like to say that everyone aside from Jess (Adam, Jennifer, and the kind front deskman whose name I sadly cannot remember right now) did their jobs well and were extremely helpful and patient! I may consider reporting this to the better business bureau as well, as bait-and-switch tactics such as these are exactly why dealerships get a bad rep. Make sure to take screenshots of the dealership's website of the car you are going to purchase before contacting them for a test drive or coming in person to view the car! This will save you a headache. Also make sure the VIN is clearly visible, as Jess proved that this would've been necessary to prove the original price.
