Save your hard earned cash. The young man who came out to work was very polite and a hard worker with a good work ethic. He should teach his boss customer service skills. He was extremely rude and was scolding me on the phone for asking a clarification concerning the quote he gave me. He then overcharged me and called me back to ask me why I was unhappy with his service. Instead of listening to my concerns, he began yelling at me and cutting me off. He actually hung out on me. Saw the good rating and called to schedule an appointment to clean my gutters at one of my investment properties (I don't live there so it was a commitment of time that would be entirely for the purpose of getting the gutters cleaned). The fellow who took my call had very poor phone skills (one reviewer called him rude, I give him the benefit of the doubt). He took my information and set up an appointment; this was done while talking to others in his office. After hanging up he called me back to find out what day we agreed upon. On the morning of the agreed appointment date I called and confirmed the time of the appointment. He was still less than personable, but did confirm the time was on their schedule. One hour and ten minutes after the appointment was to begin I called to find out if the appointment was still going to happen. I'll jump to the bottom line. No one came, no call was initiated to tell me they wouldn't be able to make the appointment and after three calls and being put on hold and hung up on while on hold, all I was told was they could reschedule. Very courteous and responsive on the phone. Which is one reason I tried really hard to stick with them. Techs did not show up at the scheduled time on the first day. Called the office and they were very apologetic and quickly rescheduled for the next day. Again, Techs did not show up on day 2. I Again called the office and they explained they were "crazy busy" and rescheduled for the next day. The Techs were supposed to show up between 12p and 2p. They eventually showed up 1.5 hours later at 3:30 (I had been waiting for them 3.5 hours at this point) and it was beginning to get dark. The rain yesterday caused a puddle under our gutters. It was time for gutter cleaning! I called several other companies but Ernest Windows was the best value. They even came over less than two hours after I called. The gutters were hand cleaned and the blower was used as well as water was poured down the downspouts to be certain there were no blockages. I called for a quote. They called back a asked to come out for an estimate or to pull up a photo of my house. He gave me an estimate and I booked an appointment. On day of service they sent one guy only for a 100 window job. He of course said no way one guy could do the job. Which I agreed there are 100 windows and three levels which they knew before hand. I agreed for a reschedule the next week. They never showed up at the scheduled time nor contacted to say why they didn't show up. Very unreliable service. I was impressed that they were able to come out the same day that I contacted them to clean my gutters. The price was better than other companies who quoted me. Their guy got on the roof to clean out everything. My gutters needed some attention, after the past storms I could tell I had some seams that required sealing and cleaning due to some spots with overflow. I have not come across many places that fixed gutters, but then I saw an add for Ernest services in a mail flier. I am glad I saw the ad and gave them a call. I must say when I called and the man said we could come out immediately it seemed a little aggressive so I made an appointment or the next week. When the appointment time passed I called and was called back to let me know the man would be here in 30 minutes and that was fine with me. Then a Toyota Prius pulls up and I thought that was a little strange, but a nice young man Robert came to the door who was very polite, we agreed on a price and he went to work. We found Ernest Windows Inc through Thumbtack and contacted the company early in the morning, and they came the same day. This was very important as we were having our home inspected for a sale. A big plus for us!! The gentleman arrived, was polite and got to work quickly. He told us he would be doing the gutters then using the blower to get rid of remaining leaves. He also said he would be leaving the bags of the leaves outside - which was fine. He quickly got to work while we stayed indoors and when he was done gave us the bill - as quoted. Very quick, polite and efficient. The only feedback we have is that there were a lot more leaves on the side of our house area than there were before they came. This was a horrible experience. The first visit was unsuccessful...windows were not cleaned to completion. We reached out to the owner who came out and redid the work but he did not do a good job either. I have had to redo three windows after he came . That does not include the front door which was quoted but never touched once. I now have to do the front door. I cant believe we paid for this. read more

Had the company clean my windows and screens and gutters yesterday. The good: gutters well done. The bad: left the gutter trash in a black plastic bag, outside my open garage. Could have put the bag in my garbage can. The badder: window cleaning was half assed, missed spots, shoddy. Left the blinds up on all of the windows. Even badder: failed to re-lock the windows after cleaning. The baddest: there's are price points: 1-15 windows, 16-24 windows, etc. charged me the 16 window price. Didn't give me the option to eliminate one of the windows to qualify for the lower price. What owner didn't know is mine was a test of his service for other homeowners in my HOA. I've already passed the word to stay away from this vendor. Subsequent to posting my review, the owner called me to address the issues that I raised. His answers exposed a larger problem: his cleaning crews are not trained to treat customers in the same manner that the owner would have, had the owner been at the job site. The owner stressed that he was willing to make any and every effort to address my concerns and made several generous offers. I have chosen not to accept any of his offers, but I recognize that he made a sincere and concerted effort to satisfy me. Accordingly I have changed my score from 1 star to 3 stars. read more

They were late showing up for the appointment. Don't speak the greatest English so makes it challenging for communicating. Sneaky with the billing so be aware. A lot of miscommunication for the job and I'm very disappointed. I paid the invoice because it's not worth my time to get it corrected. Made an appointment and made it very clear how we needed our windows washed as we were having parental guests who are judgemental of cleanliness. Ernest assured us they would be able to clean our windows. No one showed up and not even a courtesy call letting us know they wouldn't make it.
