Can I give this bakery 10 stars?!?!?! Because it so deserves it. The baguette was PHENOMENAL, EXCEPTIONAL, so amazing in taste, texture, crunch, and bite. I regret not tasting it right after I walked out the store bc I would've bought more. I purchased baguettes from other boulangeries in Paris, but nothing comes close to the perfection of EK's! I also bought one pain au chocolat, one plain croissant, one citron cream pain, and another chocolate one that I cannot remember the name. All excellent...and no I did not eat all of that by myself or in one day, I was nice enough to share with my sweet husband who surprised me with a trip to Paris for our one year (yes I'm a lucky girl) wedding anniversary. I accidentally went to this place again. I went to the bakery just down the street from Eric Kayser, which I thought was an organic bakery, and found out after the woman handed me my bread in the bag that it too was Eric Kayser bread. C'est la vie! To return to my comments about what I want from a bakery, they have succeeded in #1 (consistency). Consistently ho-hum bread. It's too crunchy on the outside for me, requires a lot of mouth-work, and tore up my palate with it's sharp edges. I did have the pan au chocolate this time, which was quite tasty. So, that's that. Eat because you can. Paris is really one of the cities where my diet rules go out of the window. I enjoy their creativity, effort and amazing food combination / flavors. Stayed at a hotel on Blvd St Germain and came here almost every morning for coffee and baguette. It's the most delicious and fresh we had our entire stay! Madeleine's and Croissants are also spectacular. read more

Everything they make is good. What makes them different from other good bakeries is they have a range of things you can carry in your suitcase so that you can give them to your family and friends as souvenir from Paris. Try little financiers. They are lovely. read more

My favorite boulangerie / patisserie! I was obsessed with their pain au chocolat for the few days I was in Paris. Other delicious items : tarte aux fraises, tarte choco noisette, financier pistache... honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. Maison Kayser a few doors down is only open like three days a week, but if you are lucky enough to go when it's open, it's a nice place to have a pastry or sandwich and a coffee while sitting down. read more

Bread = delicious!!! I ate half of the Kayser Baguette on the way home. So freaking good. So happy this isn't terribly far from my Paris home. Can't wait to go back and get more. I wasn't a fan of their pain au chocolat, there are definitely better places to be found further up the block but what kept me coming back was their brownies. They load them up with pecans. Walnuts would probably be a more ideal choice when it comes to a brownie but so far I haven't found any place in Paris that makes a decent brownie (except maybe Stanz) so I'll take what I can get. This shop isn't as busy as the Eric Kayser next door but they offer outdoor seating and emporter. I wanted to try their chicken with rice but I didn't have time so I had to forgo. In order to find their prepared food you have to walk to the back of the shop. Their service isn't very friendly but if you need something quick and/or are desperate for a brownie give it a go. read more

This is my favorite bakery in Paris! Everything I've gotten here has been so delicious. The best baguette I've personally ever had. I personally HIGHLY recommend the passion fruit tart. It is unreal. We went there on Monday and this branch was closed, so we went to No 8. There was a huge queue for their famous Pain au Levain and sourdough baguette. We liked them both. We also had Chausson au Citron which was nothing special. read more

Stick with the bread and avoid the pastries at all costs. This place had by far the worst almond croissant I've ever had. The dough was chewy and the pastry deflated. It was an embarrassment to all other croissants! read more

This is a fantastic place. We stopped twice, one to pick up some tarts for a snack and another to pick up a petite rustic bread loaf to go with out dinner. Both were very good. The service is prompt and pleasant. If you are in the neighborhood, give it a try. read more

My tour group all stopped at the tourist trap places, but I decided to walk 10-15 minutes to get something a little better. This place was exactly what I was looking for. The bread was great, the ham and cheese was great, and the service was polite and warm. They were not annoyed by my lack of French, and appreciated my attempt to speak to them, even though I butchered their language. This is a wonderful place for coffee, madelines, quiche and macarons. A gem found in Paris and a great place to people watch.

You guys have to try, I repeat H A V E to try Brioche au chocolat blanc. It's a must when in Paris!
