This is my first pool, so I came into this pretty uneducated and Shane was very patient with me during the entire project, explaining the process and what to expect. He is an extremely experienced pool builder and beyond professional and responsive. He makes you feel like you're the only customer he has and follows through even after the pool build is finished. If you want a high-quality gorgeous pool, you must hire this company. Builder Selection Shane and his staff were extremely patient as I tried to align the very differing proposals, breaking costs down as I requested. His proposal was easy to understand and was straightforward, not hiding costs in various categories as most of the other builders did. I felt I got a very fair estimate. While their proposal was not the lowest, I chose them because I felt very comfortable with Shane, his knowledge and he's just an overall really nice guy. Another reason I chose them was because he was the only builder to submit the design to our HOA without my even asking! He kept me informed as the process with them progressed. Design I already had a pool design done by another builder but wanted to get estimates from other builders. I called five and Shane was the first to to respond. We met that week and I was very impressed by his professionalism. He looked at our design, asked really good questions about the pool and how we thought we would use it. He also made some suggestions that had to do with the actual usability of the pool. He took the paper based plans and some screen shots and recreated the design using his own pool design software. We had several design meetings either at his office or at my home. He patiently tweaked the details as well as the bigger things until we were satisfied with the design and the materials. Build Shane managed this project like clockwork and the only time the progress slowed down was due to weather. He kept me informed of who was coming when and what was expected to be accomplished in that given time. His contractors were very skilled, polite and was respectful of our property. The project wasn't trouble free by any means but at each step, Shane oversaw the work being done, making changes either at my request or because he wasn't satisfied. None of which were charged to us. Shane and his staff were so responsive to all of my questions, concerns and me calling him and telling him that one of the pool walls wasn't being done to design, he stopped the work and redid it to design. There's so much more to write but that would make this review too long to want to read. Our pool is amazing and we're extremely happy with the result. Also I didn't feel that once the pool was finished Shane would disappear. In fact, he's still very responsive when we have a question or trouble with the equipment. I would highly recommend Capital! From the beginning, Bianca ticked all the boxes when it came to knowledge, promptness, responsiveness, design actualization, budget tweaking, and ease of consultations both online and in person. She gave us REALISTIC timeframes for each phase of the project, no empty promises, and if something was delayed or ahead of schedule, communication was prompt. Once our contract was signed, the process of city permit and HOA approval was streamlined and without delay. With the green light from permits and HOA the crews were at my home immediately. These guys work FAST without big gaps in crews which stands them apart from most contractors. We broke ground on August 6 and were swimming by September 13th. That's 5 weeks! Unheard of! Jim, who is the owner of ADS, is exactly the kind of man you want on your property during a largescale build like a swimming pool! He was onsite most days to make sure that our dream pool became a reality. He kept the project fluid and allowed us to make edits as the project developed in order to ensure we were completely happy. Building a pool is a large undertaking, but ADS made it enjoyable! My husband and I joke that we miss chatting with Jim over our morning coffee as the crews arrived each day of work. Jim's son, Trevor, was also onsite many of the days and we love supporting a family business! When concerns came up, as they do in any construction project, they were not dismissed and remedies were applied until we were completely satisfied. Our first decision was what kind of pool to put in - gunite or fiberglass. The fiberglass was tempting just because of the shorter timeframe, but after lots of research, we felt better about a gunite pool. Then next we had to find a good company, and there are many choices out there. We interviewed several different companies, including the big name companies, but we were so lucky to find Austin Dreamscapes. A local family-run company, it was obvious from the git-go this was going to be a good experience. Bianca walked us through the whole design process, including tile, coping, and other design features, and basically did ALL the legwork to get the HOA approval done. They went through the whole contracting process, which was a big relief to us to have the protections of a detailed contract. The actual construction was a little painful because we have three big dogs, but the staff worked with us to make it very seamless with minimal disruptions to our life. The turn-around time was much less than what some other companies gave us. Dad Jim, who has been in this business a long time, was on site constantly, communicating with us about what was going on and helping us manage changes we wanted as construction progressed. In a few short months, the pool was done, but Austin Dreamscapes didn't just take off - they walked us through curing of the concrete, how to manage the pool, and set us up with Scott, who did "Pool School" with us to learn all about the pool and how to manage it. Was it cheap? No in-ground pool is going to be cheap (if done right), but the cost was in line with quotes from other companies, and we had the benefit of a hands-on family experience. They have been in contact frequently since completion to ensure all is going well, and they send out reminders of what to do as freezing weather approaches, etc. We would use Austin Dreamscapes again in a heartbeat if we put in another pool at a future house.

Sure, you get a standard readout of the service, but there will also be notes from the team answering your question, recommendations, etc. Sure, I'm new, only 2 months with them, but so far, stellar service.

They left after repair with it not functioning correctly (air in the system which can damage unit) They came today for cleaning and left or just the same. I turned out off and guess what - leaking worse, not from filter. I assume this whole thing was to damage the new holler and blame us so they think they can charge us for yet another replacement whole unit next week. They are going to lose a customer of many years DO NOT HIRE THEM!

He and one of his technicians showed up as soon as we got electricity back and triaged the problems and gave us a fair quote to fix them. Tri-County Pools has just resurfaced our 20,000 gallon in-ground pool with PebbleSheen. We had had…read morethe pool replastered 5 years ago and that job had begun failing within the first couple of years. We'd taken the low bid back then. This time we took the high bid--and are glad we did. The previous job had left out the essential step of the Bond Coat to glue the new surface to the old. This time Tri-County chipped out all the previous plaster, sprayed a thick layer of bond coat, and then resurfaced it with a beautiful layer of Arctic White PebbleSheen. We were VERY IMPRESSED with how thoroughly the job was done. Much more work went into it than the job 5 years ago. From start to finish, the work crews were thorough, careful and cleaned up after themselves. And the pool looks better than ever. I recommend Tri-County Pools. Let me add that there'd been a misunderstanding on my part of one of the costs; Steve responded promptly and we amicably negotiated a resolution. I was impressed.

I cannot recommend Tri-County Pools for several reasons: 1)…read moreThey were months and months behind schedule. The contract was to re-plaster our existing pool, re-tile, and build a sun-shelf. Tri-County told us it would be done within a couple of months but they did not complete the project for over 15 months after I had signed the contract! I had their number saved and would call them every week. They would re-assure me that "my name was on the board," but then they wouldn't show up. We were also renovating our house, and when that was almost complete, we told Tri-County about the upcoming home inspection. They told us over the phone (once again) that the pool would be completed in time for our home inspection. But it was not. The night before the home inspection, we had to drive to Home Depot to buy orange fencing to put around our pool since the unfinished/empty pool was considered an open cavity in our backyard. 2) When Tri-County re-connected the pool pump, they made a mistake with the electrical. It caused additional damage, and we had to replace parts that were previously working (around $750 in parts) b/c they got destroyed due to the incorrect wiring and voltage. We called and sent emails with photos of what happened and they did not offer to fix it or to pay for the replacement parts. We had to buy new parts for the pool pump and pay a new company to help us re-install the very thing that Tri-County had just done wrong. They have zero concern about customer satisfaction or about fixing something that they did wrong. 3) They also said they would fix little things, like openings in the drains that they installed in the deck (where someone could easily slice their toe)...and they never came back to do that either. We called several times. 4) When they came to build the sun-shelf, we were not home b/c our house was also getting worked on, and Tri-County's team built the steps going in the wrong direction of the agreed upon design. They did agree to re-build the steps according to the plan but it was just another delay in an already very delayed process.
