Autum menu, 2025

What an amazing business! Actually, I'd say Epoch is more like a community space that serves delicious coffee, teas, pastries, tacos, and salads. Every time I visit, this place is full of people studying, playing games, crafting, and sharing conversations. It truly embodies community. There is a box of free coats for neighbors in need, a "know your rights" book at the counter for anyone approached by ICE, and even a basket inviting visitors to write love letters to a trans Texan. Posters for upcoming local events cover the walls, adding to the sense of connection. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of great restaurants and thrift stores. Most importantly, the staff are consistently warm, helpful, and welcoming. This is without question one of my favorite spots in Austin.

The biggest appeal is the 24 hours they're open. They have a specials menu and when I went, there were a few fall specialty drinks: coffee, matcha, and teas. The apple crumble latte I got was great if you're expecting something forward in its syrupy sweetness, which was what I wanted at the moment. Plenty of seating inside and it looks like what would happen if a bunch of people brought their used furniture from the 80s and 90s came together and furnished one big space. Plenty of outlets lining the walls and hanging from ceilings if you're in the open space. Downside for me was their wifi was out when I came, but it did what I needed it to do, which was provide a space for me to focus.

Menu, and what's a blendie?

24 hr coffee shop, what's not to like? It's spacious and creaky, seems like you can grab a drink and do some work or chill out there for a bit. These are all positives. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't vouch for their coffee. However, it seems they don't put effort into non-coffee drinks. You know, like how some bars don't put effort into non-alcoholic drinks, or how some pizza establishments use disgusting gluten-free dough that is not up to par with their regular pizza dough. Had one of their special iced teas. It was pretty tasteless and watery. Also, I had ordered a blendie. I thought it was going to be like a shake or smoothie. I ordered the horchata version. I think it ended up containing ice cream, coffee, and horchata flavor. It was pretty icy and caffeinated, which wasn't what I was looking for. Otherwise, their coffee items seemed to smell nice. There was also plenty of seating.

Always 5 stars! Great drinks, service, and it wasn't too busy today! I tried their seasonal Blood Orange Matcha de Coco and it is amaaaaaaazing!

Please like this if you've felt personally victimized by Tyler (the mean barista). Other than that coffee was okay, you might run into your ex on the porch! If you ignored the evil baristas then u can have a great time ! Didn't try the pastries, my friend did they were good but Tyler was rude about those too /:

Delicious tea, great vibes and fantastic baristas! Every time I go into Epoch I get that old Austin feel and it's so comforting. Service was quick and easy to order.

horchata slush - 4/5 asked for 1/2 sweet which was the right call. Seems like a chill environment and lots of turnover with people coming in and out, lots of space to study.

Dirty chai latte

Wow! One of the best dirty chai lattes I've had in the city. They also had some kind of apple cider flavored coffee drink that was so good I came two days in a row to get it again! The same guy took our order both days and he was super friendly and made sure to make our drinks himself the second day. He made beautiful art on the cups both days! Inside there were tons of people working on laptops and reading. Atmosphere wasn't too loud and was chill enough to go work or study in. Inside and outside seating was available.

After a three day bender my friend needed some coffee so this place was open 24 hrs. The flat white was okay not that great. My friend had the horchata and he loved it. The crew is decent , bathrooms give 90s punk and they have free condoms. I would recommend coming with low expectations of the coffee. The ambience is decent .

The iced latte was not the best I've had, I ordered with whole milk and it tasted very light as if it was 1% or fat free milk? The matcha was good, a tad sweet for my palate but overall good matcha and enjoyed that more than the iced latte. Old Austin vibes are alive here, nice place to work or study from if you need a change of scenery.

Usually, it's really difficult to find parking in this complex, but I'm miraculously dead so it was excited to go to Epoch to get some work done. I ordered a drip coffee with oat milk and it was really good! I appreciate that they have plenty of seating with outlets, however, there was a really bad smell in the store the entire time - so bad that it prompted me to leave early!

Chai Latte (L) 1/2 Mojo (R)
Lizzie R.

It is located near UTA which is what. We were warmly greeted upon entering the establishment. We asked what their specialties were and he took the time to explain the flavors from their menu. We then proceded to order a 1/2 Mojo and an Iced Chai Latte which were pretty good. Plus, we had the chance to indulge in a cream cheese empanada! Thank you so much for the greeting and hospitality as I visited Austin.

Best place to get a coffee in Austin. Service is quick and the ambience is old-school Austin at its best.

Cute neighborhood bookshop :)…read more Lots of community events for adults and kids. There's always something for everyone. They carry a lot of book titles and if they don't have it in store, you can order online as well. They also sell notebooks, cards, merch, and lots of knick knacks. Seating inside can be limited but there's lots of outdoor seating too. There's a parking lot across the street if the parking lot next door is full and they also have lots of neighborhood parking. Overall, great place to browse books, stationary, read, and grab a drink!

There was also a semi-small outdoor area that promoted or facilitated an area for people to converse. There was books on the inside and I must say... its like a more local, mini startup of a bookstore like FOX, Borders or Barnes and nobles. You have books and a coffee shop. They had some pastries and very little amount of edibles but the Dirty chai was wonderful! It was not so sweet where your teeth is about to decay with every sip! Although, it was still premixed with sugar... Now... The ambiance was lovely. It was a quiet kind of charm and, can be peaceful. In short, overall: Parking 3/5 Customer service: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Quality: 4/5 Grade: A Definitely worth a visit!

There is only one opening to the building and it is the check in/ POS space. So for employees to get in and out of the building they need to move the entire counter to shimmy themselves into a small brick building. And yet, They have a line around the corner. It is easy to see why, the team at the service counter and friendly and well-informed. They have great drink suggestions and you can tell they care about their product. Their is a latte for everyone and the seasonal rotation keeps it fresh. If you're not adventurous(or visiting from out of town), just go with their specialty latte: grapefruit brown sugar latte. It is well-balanced and you wont be disappointed. On another note: Logistically, this place is kind of a nightmare, where do the employees go to the bathroom??? Why is everything pushed up next to each other?? How do they pass any type of inspection?? Is there even a fire exit?? But who cares, no big deal, their coffee is delicious and their lattes fresh and inspired.

The line always moves pretty quickly, the staff is warm and friendly and the coffee & matcha are delicious. I tend to be a no flavor in my coffee kind of gal cause I fear it'll be too sweet. However last time I was there I got their homemade banana syrup in my iced flat white and I have not stopped thinking about it, I'm going back this weekend. I also tried my friends matcha with the banana and it was really good as well. Terrible love is great addition to Hyde parks charm!! They are also opening a wine bar next door soon.

They have the standard Italian fare along with sandwiches and other bites. I got there in time for the breakfast, so I had the breakfast sandwich. During the week you can get the breakfast sandwich and coffee for $8, quite a deal. The breakfast sandwich was on a Kiser roll and normally came with ham. I asked if I could substitute for turkey, and my request was granted. Huge kudos for this massive breakfast sandwich! Also, the cheese was melted. I can not tell you how many time I have ordered a sandwich cheese elsewhere even a melt and the cheese has not come out melted. The sandwich flavorful, hot and delicious. True confession...it was just a bit too much bread for me, yet quite a tasty sandwich. This was a bit amusing being an Italian restaurant and they were playing country music.
