Enzo's is definitely known for their attentive and outstanding service. Loved that they took their time introducing the menu and highlighting special dishes. Vodka pasta was absolutely amazing! The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was addicting. Veal parm was incredibly flavorful, and the tomato basil sauce was so layered and had much depth! Not like the store bought jars at all. Seafood salad (special of the day) was fresh and had such a bouncy texture! Loved the portion size too. Half dozen clams were tiny and definitely not worth it, though the sauce was addicting! I came to Enzo's yesterday at recommendation from one of the butchers at Vincent's meat market. My mother and I ran across the street for some popular Italian fares after shopping on Arthur ave all day and going to the botanical gardens. Enzos offers lots of seating with a large full working bar. We were promptly seated and our orders taken. we tried three dishes and all of them were on special. The tomato and cucumber salad with feta, the lobster manicotti and chicken stuffed with prosciutto, topped with cheese and fresh figs. The salad was tangy with so much creamy feta and basil. The manicotti was STUFFED with lobster chunks throughout the entire dish and melty cheese. And the chicken was cooked perfectly and covered in a white wine sauce. Best alla vodka I've ever had. I could tell just by pictures it'd be good but I was not expecting absolutely amazing. It was the perfect dinner after our trip to the zoo. I'm also Italian and I feel it's sort of crazy it took me 41 years to go to arthur avenue but I consider myself the worst Italian lol. Our server for the evening was Sebastian. He was very attentive and very helpful in areas we were indecisive in. We started with the Caesar salad. I came here with my family on a Sunday night for dinner. We made a reservation for 5:30. The restaurant is huge with multiple rooms. We shared the cold antipasta platter, which had a few different cheeses, meats, and olives. For dinner, I had one of the specials, which was a branzino fillet with broccoli rabe. It was prepared simply with lots of garlic and olive oil, and it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and the crème brûlée. Both were pretty standard. Skip it! I heard good things about this place, but I found it to be very average and I was disappointed. I was leaning towards 2 stars but went with 3 because the service was good. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner around 3:30pm. It was pretty busy but there were plenty of tables both inside and outside. We were seated outside and promptly greeted. Our waiter was nice and told us all of the specials. They gave a complimentary basket of bread, two pieces of olive bread and two of Italian bread. The olive bread was fresh and tasty, the Italian bread was stale. No butter with the bread but there was oil on the table. We ordered the chicken francese and one of their homemade pastas with the bolognese sauce. Not even 5 minutes later, our food appeared. We were both shocked with how quickly it came out. There was NO WAY that they could have prepared this meal in 5 minutes which leads to me believe they pre-made everything, heated it up and served it. We were very disappointed; if I'm paying $25-30/dish I would like it to be fresh. The chicken and lemon sauce was lukewarm. Some of the pasta was piping hot and others were cold. I was also not impressed with the portion sizes for the price. The chicken francese came with two pieces of chicken only. No side of pasta or a salad. It definitely wasn't worth the price for a very mediocre meal. Overall, I'd skip this place. There are plenty of other restaurants on Arthur Ave that will make fresh meal for the price! read more

Went with a coworker for lunch, fried calamari was lightly breaded and on point. Pieces were nice and fluffy. The special for the day the linguini with all the seafood (and the kitchen sink) in white sauce was very tasty and I even dunked the bread and cleaned up the leftover sauce in my bowl. I decided to go with a group of friends to Bronx's Little Italy and try out one of the Italian restaurants there. Based on reviews online, we ended up choosing Enzo's and it turned out to a wise choice. Enzo's opened in 2005 but it appears to be much older. It is an unpretentious old school restaurant with a classic decor. My friends and I ordered the fried calamari, several different plates of pasta and a bottle of wine. Their menu is classic Italian food. A meal also comes with a free basket of bread. Everything tasted fresh and was very filling. We weren't told we had a 2.5-hour limit, and when they dropped the check, they said we could finish our drinks at the bar--only for the bar staff to tell us we couldn't stand there because we were "in the way." For entrées, we ordered zuppa Da pesce, chicken Parm, Pasta Dal Forno and Pasta bolognese. The pastas were all delicious, fresh homemade pasta just perfect! The zuppe de pesce was a little disappointing because the shrimp were very rubbery, definitely over cooked, and the mussels were extremely tiny, almost nonexistent in the shell. Delicious lunch at Enzo's of Arthur Avenue. My friend and I split two entrees, the healthier grilled branzino and the indulgent lasagna. Both were excellent! The olive bread was tasty and fresh. The waitstaff was very nice. Next time we will get there earlier to sit outside to people-watch on Arthur Avenue, by the time we got there we were too famished to wait for a table and instead ate on the enclosed porch in the back so we still got to enjoy the mild weather through the open windows. read more

But that eggplant parm... no breadcrumbs, just a light egg batter and a layer of fresh cheese between each layer of thinly sliced eggplant. Flavor and texture were both incredible. We ordered the fried meatballs, eggplant rollatini, grilled polenta, rice balls, arugula salad, focaccia, and 2 pizzas. The fried meatballs, eggplant rollatini, and rice balls were my favorite. The rice balls went so quick we had to order another. The pizzas had good flavor, but I prefer a less doughy crust. The focaccia was really tasty and was the perfect dipping bread for my entree, the ZUPPA DI PESCE. I opted for the white sauce and oh mama was this delicious. The seafood was so perfectly tender and succulent. The linguini was al dente and had such good flavor. It was one of the best seafood dishes I've had. I would 100% order that again. We finished off the meal with a variety of desserts and espresso. The food was wonderful. The service was good, not great. There were times our server seemed a little distracted and we had to flag someone down to get more water. Not a big deal, just didn't have that personal touch. Ambiance was busy, but relaxed. I will NEVER go to Enzos again. My husband and I were there yesterday, March 3. We were coming home from Mt Sinai Hospital to our home in Greenwich because we'd been there all morning for my husband's treatment and we were hungry. I hate that place now. I used to go tO Enzo and love it, I had a big party for my mom's 90th birthday with about 25 people there a few years back. We have been good customers, but now, the food is terrible! Hot antipasto stunk. mushrooms undercooked and mushy. eggplant rolatini flavorless and stale tasting, as if it had been made last week and microwaved for us yesterday. The shrimp was almost raw, and baked clams were bland. When we walked in the young lady brought us to our tiny 2 top table and my husband is a big man and we asked to sit at the 4 top-there were 2 available. she said, "No you must sit at a 2 top." As we ate, she proceeded to put 2 customers in a 4 top when there was a 2 top available and when I brought it the host's attention, she said "there are no 2 tops left," I said, come with me, and I pointed to another 2 top next to us and I said, "then what's this?" Had a great experience at Enzo's. After hours of walking around the NY botanical Gardena , we stopped by Enzo's on Arthur avenue for a quick early dinner ( it's a 6 minute drive). Was lucky and got a close parking spot on the street. They are across the street from the Arthur ave Market. We decided to eat at the beautiful marble bar and the bartender was friendly ( and pretty busy). They provided a bread basket with 2 kinds of bread- slices of an olive loaf which was amazing and some plain bread which was just ok. The pasta with pesto was amazing ! They make their own pasta and sell their pasta and sauce to take home across the street at the Arthur avenue market called "Enzo's to go". When in the Bronx, you have to visit Arthur ave to try the real little Italy. We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Didn't have reservations but we walked in right at opening time. The place almost filled up in 30 mins! We had THE BEST gnocchi of my life. Pizza was amazing too. The food was so bland. Zero seasoning. I was looking forward to this meal for a week. My house salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce with no taste. It may as well just have been raw. I added my own vinegar, salt, and pepper to just survive it. Linguini with clams should have flavor. It comes from the broth steamed out of the clams. I got no Broth, no garlic, no salt, no pepper, nothing. It was a bowl of linguini with clams on top and zero seasoning. I spent $160. I didn't want to eat any of it.
