I am very disappointed by the service of enterprise rental car in Riverside at Chicago st location when they gave me the rental car I asked for a sedan they gave me an suv because they did not have any sedan available at the moment they told me that they were going to call me as soon as they had one I waited a week and never received any calls to trade the suv for a sedan. I went to the Yucaipa location where they are extremely friendly and professional. They changed my SUV for a sedan but unfortunately the sedan doesn't work properly, guess what? I came to the Riverside location at Chicago st. Again to talk about the problem with the car, they made me wait so long. My friend rented a car here for one day and we picked it up at 10am and her reservation was until 7pm. Why was the place closed when we got there to drop the car off. How do you let someone rent a car until 7pm if yall closed at 12... 2 hours after we rented it. Doesn't make sense. There's no customer service to talk to or anything. My experience wasn't the best or the worst. Thankfully the day of my pickup there was a gentleman who just helping out at this location for the day. He was easygoing and very helpful. However the car I got was dirty all over the outside. Another guy who brought me to the car said their car wash system broke down. While I was waiting for the car inside I was told the car was being cleaned and vacuumed. However when brought to the car the guy had me wait so he could vacuum it. It was done poorly there was a lot of dirt on the floor, dust on the dashboard and sand all in the trunk. Cleanliness is not the best. While on my drive home I got terribly bit up and down my entire leg and ended up finding the bug when I got home. Mind you windows were closed the entire ride home. read more

I had to return the first car, which wasn't cleaned all the way, and smelled awful when I turned on the air conditioner. The second car I got also was not that clean. But I told the manager when I returned it. She was professional and very accommodating. Needed a car at the last minute for a work trip and I checked several Enterprise locations near my parents' house in Winchester, CA (near Menifee). And NONE of the smaller sites had vehicles available. I happened to check at this location which I've used before and was able to reserve a car after hours for the following morning at opening. I got to the office at about 8:30 and I was seen right away, check in probably took 5 minutes total and I was in my rental car within 10. Jessica helped me and was great and even gave me her card to let her know if I had any issues with the car (this was nice especially considering I would be dropping the car off at a different location). Overall will definitely use them again in the future and love that they had a car at the last minute. I should also mention the car was very clean and a nice one at that! read more

Needed a car for work and was there the day of and was told they didn't have anything available. So they told me to come in the next morning to get a truck they reserved for me. Then I call in the morning to confirm and the guy tried to tell me to come in the next morning after that because they were sooooooo busy. Then I urged and told him I need to work today and he sighs and says fine come in at 10. I come in at 10 and I'm put on a waiting list because yet again they're "sooooooo busy". It's really frustrating and a terrible business. I was better off coming in at 9 like I wanted to if I ended up still having to wait. Its been three years since I've used this Enterprise location. I decided to give them a try again. For this rental, I reserved a standard SUV for 1 day to pick up people from the airport. The staff were very friendly and welcoming when I arrived to pick up my rental. Unfortunately, they had no more SUVs available. Instead, they offered me a minivan which was a Dodge Grand Caravan. The minivan worked out fine since the main objective was to load luggage. Returning was also as easy as picking up. Workers are way too emotional, they lagged on my rental over resentment held against my renting party because of an argument and some misunderstanding over the rental the day before. Instead of quickly resolving the issue that's already taken 2 days to resolve, the woman helping us (Ana) seemed to brush us to the side, call 5 different people it seemed like to try and get the rental "approved" but each call just sounded like she was trying to justify her resentment. I received a vehicle that was damaged in Santa Barbara California. I need a vehicle to get home to Riverside California. Upon my arrival to drop the vehicle off in Riverside the staff member told me he could not except the vehicle because of the damage that was on there. He said that his system did not show the damage. I disagreed because I seen the guy document the damage when I took the vehicle from Santa Barbara. I got a hold of the Santa Barbara office and he spoke with the guy in Riverside and immediately the guy in Riverside decided to take the vehicle. The guy tried to make it right by giving me a $25 discount but I had $25 worth of extra gas in the vehicle. The guy didn't even provide me with the receipt he said I Would receive a receipt via email. The guy in Santa Barbara was awesome he did me right good service everything when I got down to Riverside I can't see the same thing the guy was rude and confrontational. On top of that I was supposed to get picked up by enterprise but they never arrived so I Uber three hours later. Most likely I'll never use Enterprise ever again. I should've knew better when they were the only people that had a vehicle beware and if you have a rental vehicle and there's damage make sure you take pictures prior with the employee next to the vehicle. read more

Had made a reservation through booking.com and enterprise canceled it and failed to notify me !!! I showed up the day I'm supposed to pick up and then am notify my reservation was cancel!! Very unprofessional staff , not helpful at all !!! Disappointing location!!! I had to drive up all the way to Ontario Airport to be able to get a rental. Ontario location was very understanding and were able to even give me a better rate !! Had to upgrade the SUV and paid $300 extra total $883 for a week rental . At this point I was grateful to Ontario enterprise at the airport and was able to hit the road ! It is with some reservation that rate this Enterprise with a four, but allow me to explain. While the staff is friendly, helpful, and willing to resolve any problems, the operating procedures leaves much to be desired. I ordered a rental on Sunday night for pick up on Monday morning. I was on a tight time schedule, but I did allow for a 15-20 minute process. So, it took an hour for the process. In my estimation there is no reason why it should take one hour to pick up a rental on University Ave in Riverside. We are not talking LAX. In any case, upon the return of the rental, we were assisted by Sandra, who did everything to make it up to us. She was a awesome. We walked away satisfied with the adjustment, but remain perplexed with the operations that would result in such a slow pickup process. Enterprise needs to figure this out. I figure I'm a returning customer; I have an account; they have my payment info; There is no insurance company involved; so why can't I just walk up grab a key, sign the palm pilot and go? I hope someone at Enterprise Headquarters reads this because I have not received a review request from headquarters, only one that reached the local office again. If you have issues, talk to Sandra. I actually had a really good experience at this Enterprise. Everything was easy. I booked my reservation online and all I had to do was pick up the car. There was a little bit of a wait since it was a holiday weekend. They got to me as promptly as possible. The individual who helped me with my rental on my departure and return was Daryse Matheus. She was extremely sweet. She had a great personality that made my day much better. She was genuinely interested in what I had to say. She got me through the walk around at a good pace and reassured me of any pre-existing damages. She informed me thoroughly of the additional coverages they offered and didn't try to excessively push any of them on me. Terrible customer service. Been here three times and each time with a reservation and they never ever have the cars ready. It's always at minimum a 45 minute - 2 hour wait. They book reservations without having the cars available. Their reservation center is not in contact with the actual store so they always mix things up. I rented a full size vehicle and once I showed up they didn't have one said it will be about 20-40 mins for them to even get it here meanwhile I even showed up 1 hour late for my reservation. There were only a certain model of vehicle that they had the day I came, but I called the next day in hopes that there other cars were ready and they happily had me come down to switch out the car to one that was more of my liking at no extra charge.
