I thought these guys were great! Very nice people and easy peezy to rent a car. The only reason these guys aren't getting a 5 star rating is because yesterday was the 10th business day where I was supposed to get MY 400 dollar deposit back and I still haven't received it! I even had to call in, and request it. This is part of my rent money I relied on and now it looks like I am going to be late. We will see, but I even visited my bank today and they show no pending refund deposit. What a bummer because I definitely would have given a 5star. All in all, get your finance department in order when people actually give you a cash deposit. When you say you will RECEIVE within 7-10 business days, you need to refund by or before then and not the day of the 10th day. BE PROACTIVE: Now i am worried I will have to pay a late fee for rent, and I probably will because I still don't see any activity and my grace period ends today. read more

Please do not rent from this company. YOU ARE RISKING YOUR LIFE IF YOU DO! The car I rented had bald tires and the windshield wipers did not work. It happened to storm that weekend and we were slipping and sliding around the highway. It was so scary. I asked to speak with a supervisor for 3 days and nobody would return my call call. When I spoke with "manager" Crystal, she told me that I was just trying to get a discount. She was rude, unapologetic, and uncaring for the life of her customers. The car was fine. They gave me a ride to my hotel after I returned the car which was nice, but 2 months later I've called twice and still can't seem to get $150 deposit back. UPDATE: 4/18/16 Called for a 3rd time with no response so I filed a dispute with the credit card company and they are getting the money back. Dozens of reviews report the same complaint I have!! I rented a car June, 2014 and got a great rate. The staff was super nice and polite. I really liked the service. From the beginning they did tell me that the refund would take 10 days which it did! I'm extremely disappointed at this point, not only did they agree to only charge $50.00 as a holding deposit to ensure I return the car-they ended up charging me $400.00! The phone number listed for the company goes to voice mail, without an actual voice message, it just beeps?! How in the world is that professional?! Definitely when you rent, snap the registration information found in the glove box-if you have an issue which statistics say is a good chance-you can go to who matters. This location is mainly male run. I've met several guys from riverside, all nice and pleasant I felt-I've known 2 females tops working here one of who I was told quit. I never got the name of the woman I spoke to but after reading the comment replies I'm convinced Crystal is the one-defensive, off the bat rude with a dominant self-righteousness undertone, unpleasant, unprofessional, and mainly FULL-OF-EXCUSES, no business etiquette whatsoever. If I'm wrong it was you, you know who I'm referring to now is the time to clear your name. I called the Riverside location to complain my 10 business day deposit fee was not returned as agreed in our contract & was therefore charged interest on the deposit to my credit card. I said I wasn't gonna take the hit and she had the nerve to tell me "why would I give you money back....that's money out of my pocket..." I called to give them another shot-some of the people are real nice and friendly but they seem scattered, are disorganized and empty headed at times-several people claiming they will return a phone call the day of and never do, just leave it to others to deal with-ridiculous. I once asked to rent with all the paperwork already complete, like having the milage written down and such, Paul said he would and didn't. I was late to my appointment. With rentals timing is all that matters. Oh yeah, after saying I was gonna forgive the mistake and move forward I wanted to do another rental with a discount accounting for the interest I was charged, she immediately says to me "our accounting dept gets busy..., it sounds I'm lying". Meanwhile she is reading my receipt clearly indicating with an attitude telling me what I had signed for and when the deposit was finally returned. It's common sense if the deposit on the credit card was returned after 30 days, payment was to be made and would accrue interest fees. I flat out said I never paid what you were to take off now you should foot the bill-your mistake you defaulted on the agreement-yet I'm lying. Does this make any sense? I know what I signed but she mentioned an extra charge not listed on my receipt I asked her to clarify to which she said "I have to get to the accounting dept to figure that out" and has yet to call me. Meanwhile I have my credit records being sent over by the credit company. I rented due to location and free drop off feature. Def is not for the customer service although some guys I met were really nice. If you have to rent def go through the ontario location they def seem more on top of things but they share the same accounting dept which is the issue. They rent to 18 year olds which is a plus but expect to have to pay your deposit fee when credit card payments are due. Owner needs to step up and fire. As I'm reading the reviews of other yelpers, I see that the common denominator of this company is the fact that they like to keep money that does not belong to them. My first recommendation do NOT make business with this company. Second, keep all of your "Rent Outs" (keep every single paper you get from this company, request a copy). In my case, they tried to charged me with charges that I did NOT committed. I call Louie (store/district manager: Redlands Location), who refered me to Patricia (a very unethical, dishonest and unscrupulous person) who ignore my calls. Then, when going back to Louie he said: "there is nothing I could do, you need to call Patricia". I could not believe these people were fradulently keeping my money. I was placed in DeAnza Car Rental by Toyota of Redlands, due to the fact that my car has a recall. Therefore, after speaking with Jamie Sapp (Toyota of Redlands Human Resources Manager) they finaly gave my money back. However, they still owe me the fast track charges that they promisted to pay. Jamie call Patricia who passed her to Crystal (appartently DeAnza's Manager). Since, I had all of my documents Jamie asked Crystal to send a "Rental Agreement Invoice" b/c all of DeAnza Rent Outs have the same date/time. Really not happy with this company. Do not rent with them. I went with them to rent a car through Nu, a new European group that DeAnza represents. They do not indicate that they are not located at the car rental center. The Airport shuttle at Orange County does not take you to them. I had a nice shuttle driver who took me to the regular rental center and called DeAnza for me for a pick up. Then I am picked up by someone's boyfriend because their 'shuttle' driver was not available. Instead the man drove the car I would be renting to pick me up (on my gas as they did not fill it to the top). They put a $150 charge on my credit card and 2 charges for insurance that I declined. Worst experience in my life! I knew from the moment I walked in the door the place and staff looked shady, but I was running out of time and decided to give them a try. Bad idea! Just during the time I was there one previous customer came in to complain about not getting his deposit back in time and several phone calls came through where staff was arguing with customers. I to became victim to their scheme of not returning my deposit in time. I had to wait over a month to get mine back. After making numerous phone calls I just kept getting the run around about who was in charge and what was holding up my money. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If I could give them no stars , I would. I have waited almost SEVEN months for a return of my $150 deposit (which is on a credit card, collecting interest). I have called at least six different times, spoken to different people who assure me that I will get a refund, and nothing has happened. This is despicable service. In regards to the car I rented, the AC stopped working at the beginning of my use of the car. This made for a very uncomfortably hot drive around Southern California. Here it is day 11 and they had conveniently forgotten to return my deposit . If you do rent from this company insure you leave a cash deposit so you will get it back. This is the worst place in the history in the Inland Empire.. I rented a car 2014 jetta from this company.. Gino rented me and my husband the car. We paid 200.00 deposit plus 64.80 a day for the rental. We were searching to buy a car but in the meantime we rented this car.. First off they seem allittle professional, that is until they get your cash.. Rented the car for about a month spent well over 1500.00 for the rental.. Then one day out the blue Gino offered to sell my husband a car, so of course in need of one we accepted the offer.. Well that went all bad.. After we return the rental due to lack of money.. We call and call and Gino seems to never be there but of course he answered the phone one day but said he was not in.. So professional huh???? That's not it folks.. So my husband finally gets ahold of him and he says well the car needs a new starter.. So okay we wait for that. A week later no answer to our calls.. So being highly frustrated. We tell him to forget about the car.. Just give our deposit back.. Well now they say we owe them money.. How is that when we paid cash have all of our receipts.. So now no answer to our calls for the 200.00 deposit back but remember we spent well over 1500.00 to rent the car.. These people are Shady Unprofessional Crooks.. They really need to be shut down. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I rented a vehicle from their Ontario location, which isn't even at the airport. They're located in the lobby of the Ontario Airport Hotel, north of the 10 freeway, off of Haven Ave. Anyway, the vehicle was dented and scraped up. Dog bites all on the passenger side door. Not what you'd expect when renting a vehicle right? Anyway, 21 days after returning the vehicle I still didn't get my deposit refunded back. So I called the 800 number, got connected to the Ontario site and spoke to Colin. He looked up my info and said he'd get back at me later that day. No call back that day. Next day, called again...spoke to a Sybil. Took my info again and told me that she'd get Colin to call me back, even promised me. Yeah right. So I decided to call the 800 number again and this time listen through all the options, and lo and behold if I press 5 it would connect me to accounting. I hit 5, it rings, I hear "Hello", I say "Hello", she says "yeah". I say "is this how you professionally answer your phone for your place of business?". She says "well this is my cell phone". Am I supposed to know this? WTF is wrong with these people. Anyway, I find out her name is Crystal. I get to the business at hand, tell her it's been three weeks, where's my deposit. She looks up my info, tells me finally that she is going to issue my deposit and that it should post in 24 hours. Wasn't betting on it, however, I did get my deposit back. But WTH?!? Why wasn't it automatically refunded to me? 7-10 days they say when renting. Why did I have to chase after my own money? Her customer service skills were severely lacking. Do not rent from this company!!! I rented a car, drove it around a bit. Slept in my hotel, woke up the next morning to go to Disneyland, and when we started to drive the car had a flat. It took them 2.5 hours to bring me a replacement car (my Hotel was a mile away from the office). When I returned home, not only did they not refund my $150 deposit, they charged me an additional $150. They said it was for the damage to the tire, which the mechanic told me was determined not to be from hitting a curb and therefore not my fault. After almost a month I still don't have any of my deposit or the fraudulent $150 charge back. I keep getting the run around. Next step, getting my attorney involved. My son rent a car from these guys, was told the deposit would be refund within 7 days. One week late that was on Sunday, I called, a guy named David answered the call,after i asked him about the deposit, he told me they close on Sunday (then why answered the phone), and would call me back on Monday (after asked me leave the phone number). On Monday after 4pm, I did not get any call from them, so I called in, a lady answered the phone, and told me will return the money on Tuesday. the reason is that they return the deposit in 7 business days. On Thursday I called again, the guy called Paul told me they will return the money on NEXT Monday, the reason is that they will do the refund in 10 business days. We had some argument about this, and he told me I DONT WANT TO TALK TO YOU, I WANT TO TALK TO THE PERSON ON THE CONTRACT. I told him he is my son, the money is mine, i want my money back! Then my son called them, he was told will get the money back on Friday. On the third Monday, i did not see any depending fund on my account, called them again, i was very upset and feel helpless and cried, i am not rich, that's the money for my sons books and food at school, we had the same argument as on Thursday. Finally he/paul told me he will do the refund that afternoon. And will call me back when he finish it. In about 40min, he did call me back and said DONT TALK TO US IN THAT WAY, DONT CRY ANY MORE, WE ALREADY REFUND YOUR MONEY. What should I say, thank you! NO, NEVER, I should say, GOD DAMN YOU! Be careful with these guys. I had quite a few rental car experience with Enterprise Rent -A - CAR, it was very pleasant. The Ontario location is at the Ontario Hotel, when I walked into the lobby and seen the little kiosk it made me realize this was the wrong place to rent from. Extremely horrible customer service, no supervisor on duty, the worker at the kiosk had no clue on how to handle customers, the lady that was in line in front of me cancelled her rental car, because of all the extra requirements they asked for. The day I was to return the car, I called before noon to tell them I would be a couple of hours late returning it and was told,"Don't worry! Don't worry! I'll be here, not a problem!" but was not refunded the full $150.00 deposit because they said I returned it late. .+ and this is for EVERYONE who rents a car ANY PLACE, make sure to look under the front & back bumpers. When I returned this car, which I hardly put any miles on, the rep came out to do the inspection and accused me of scuffing underneath the front bumper! Who stands back 10 feet from a car & looks under the bumpers before you drive away?! Seriously?! I had to wait around for her to call the manager, talk to him, miss the shuttle to the airport. Worst car rental company I've ever used. They bait you with low rates but they are extremely difficult to work with. Do yourselves a favor and rent from an established rental company. Car rental companies do not make good "mom and pop" shops. On top of the bad service, they want TWO WEEKS to be able to come up with the $250 cash deposit I left with them. If a company needs two weeks to save up to return your deposit, you know they are they are failing at everything else. Bottom line, if a customer leaves you a CASH deposit, you owe a cash deposit not a check in two weeks by SNAIL MAIL! It's not right for you to use your customers' deposit for your business. It shouldn't be our burden to keep your business afloat. Also, they "limit" you to 150 miles per day if you're paying with a debit card. OBSURD. If they don't want to rent to customers that don't use credit cards, they should stop instead of trying to make it work with their limited resources. kept my security deposit for a manufacture defect without even trying to contact the manufacture. Paul told me that day to trust him and he would take care of me and call me back the same day. 10 days later I never heard from him. I called back and he said he had done nothing but he was keeping my security deposit to cover the repairs. I asked him if he spoke with carson trailer which had a 1 year warranty and he said no but he was keeping my security deposit. When I reminded him he told me he would work with me and try and get the manufacture to cover the cost he said again he would call me back in 30 mins. Once again he did not call me back. I called back the next day and he told me the same thing, I will call you back in 30 mins and no call. I had to file a claim with my credit card company. I would not trust this company ever again. Give your security in extreme caution. He refused to take the broken trailer off my truck unless I signed a form that the damage was my fault even thou we both knew it was not.
