Please, please, please do not ever rent from here. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in 30+ years of renting vehicles. I was promised a full-size SUV, double checked on it and was guaranteed the vehicle. Eight hours before pick up I received a call from Jake that there were no SUVs available whatsoever. I had to cancel a ski trip because of this. Completely inexcusable behavior. I could not be more disappointed and take 100% of my car rental rentals elsewhere in the future. read more

If you don't like getting stuffed in your behind, then let me explain why this place sucks. We live in Newton and this is the closest location to us. On Monday evening, we reserved a truck for Wednesday afternoon. We had purchased a couch from Crate & Barrel and they would only hold it for 48 hours. I get that small locations may not always have a truck on site, so on Tuesday morning when Enterprise opened, I called and asked whether they could confirm that a truck would be available. The guy who I spoke to confirmed it would absolutely be there. Can you guess what happened on Wednesday afternoon? No truck! The staff didn't care. I had a confirmed rental car... email to confirm and then I received a call letting me know that the rental was cancelled for the next day!! I am attending a funeral and they blamed it on central booking. Unprofessional and dishonest! I would never recommend this branch nor would I believe any of their ridiculous excuses. read more

For the most part, my experience was a positive one. The guy who brought the rental to the Autobody shop was super kind and thorough. We looked at the rental together and noted any damage etc. When I said that the car smelled like cigarettes he said I could call and trade it in for a different car another day- at that point in the day, the store was closed for the night. It was a great value and I liked the car in general. However, the car started to have some mechanical issues and felt sort of unsafe. When I called and spoke to the manager, he was neutral at best. He wasn't kind and said they were busy on one of the busiest days of the year and I could call them back after work to see if they had another car. I would recommend going back there and will myself if I need a rental. However, I hope that no more cars have weird issues cause otherwise it was a great experience. read more

Had a great experience at Enterprise, Needham. In particular, service by Ethan went above and beyond. My car broke down and I had to get a long term rental. He switched my car a couple of times on a Saturday to make sure I get the right car for my commute. He kept exploring options to find the right car and the right rate. I really appreciate his patience and all his help. He was very accommodating. I also worked with Jake and Chris when I rented the first time and they were great. Dan is FANTASTIC. He was knowledge, professional, and solved problems kindly and quickly. We had a number of problems with cars: what we ordered wasn't available; the car we got had 3 warning lights on and things wrong worh it; the needham location had no other cars so we had to get one from Norwood....all of these things were a reflection on the company, not him, and he worked around all of it. Very dissatisfied with the service. I picked up the car on August 25th. The car only had a quarter tank of gas in it. The agent assured me that I would not have to pay for a full tank when I returned the car. I asked for a copy of the contract, and he said he would email it to me. He never did. We have called enterprise headquarters four times and still have not received a contract or a callback from management. read more

We scheduled to rent a car three months out to find out the day before we were to pick up the car that they don't have any cars . Now I get some car@ enterprise that wants me to tell them my confirmation number and location to help me and I email them to help but no response from them. I had a terrible experience with Needham Enterprise Rent a Car. I went to the office at the appointed time 2pm to pick up an SUV as promised. They had only a Truck and two sedans. I said I definitely did NOT want the truck. I told them I wanted an SUV ( I have up to 50 on my auto policy for rent a car replacement). They said they would have to pick one up from Natick but would leave now. I asked if they could pick me up at 4 pm at my home in Needham and they said sure. At 4pm Liam the manager showed up with the truck and said it was the only thing they had available. I told him I would have taken one of the sedans if I knew he was going to give me the truck. He said take it or leave it. I got upset and he got very rude and said I am dropping you off at home and I refuse to rent a car to you even tomorrow. I called the Enterprise Rent a Car customer service agency to place a complaint and they said his district manager would get in touch. They haven't. I took my business to the Enterprise Rent a Car office in Dedham the next day and dealing with them was a pleasure. Avoid the Needham office. They are rude and don't care about the customer at all. read more

Things I liked: It was a decent price for a two-day rental. The car was ready for me when I came to pick it up, and they "upgraded" the size of my car for no cost (I think because it was the only car available). The woman who helped me at the counter was very friendly. Things I did not like: The car was really dirty on the outside and the inside. There was only 1/4 of a tank of gas in it too. I made the return on a Sunday, and had to drop the key in a sketchy looking drop box that was not actually cemented down, and the drop box had a sign that said that the vehicle was my responsibility until the car rental place opened the next day. I wish someone at the counter would have told me that I would have to go through that process when I returned the car. read more

Staff was good. I was underwhelmed by the vehicle. The car had tape on the doors as if the doors were taped shut at one point and overall cleanliness was not great. The price was higher than I was expecting but that may be due to a last-minute booking. read more

Living in Needham, I *need* the following: A Dry Cleaner, a tailor, a shoe repair shop, and THE TEAM AT ENTERPRISE! Darnell, Jerry.. everyone over at Enterprise at Wexford Ave - save me constantly. I am frequently called at the last minute to travel to our corporate headquarters out of state. On multiple occasions, Enterprise has gone above and beyond to make my rental experience not only easy, but exceptional. A car is a car, is a car once you get in.. However, it's the experience, the professionalism and the relationship which sets Enterprise apart. When I am called away for business last minute... a rental car is one less thing I worry about now. read more

Edward called to apologize that the car we reserved was no longer available. He spent the day looking for a suitable alternative for us. By the end of the day he had found us a car with plenty of space for our cargo. Due to problems with the automotive supply chain as a result of COVID (I think) there are less cars available to rent. It's not the fault of the staff at the Enterprise location, but some customers were unkind. Edward gets high praise from me for being honest and communicative and even if he wasn't able to make everyone happy he sure did try! read more

I had to wait while someone drove to Clay Chev to borrow a car from them! A great experience renting a car. We are from a long way away and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted before the business hours by nice gentleman who made us feel right at home. Amanda arrived early to the location as well and we got our car promptly. I would recommend the extra insurance through enterprise. Be very careful. An older, commercially unsophisticated relative rented a car from these folks while between cars. The relative's existing insurance provided extensive coverage, but Enterprise sold her every imaginable add-on and coverage imaginable. At the end of the rental it was *hundreds* of extra dollars squeezed out of her. *** REVIEW your existing coverage*** Before you sign anything, figure out what you truly need. read more

I had the most horrible experience with enterprise rent -a- car in Needham when I rented a truck from them on April 28th. After I returned the truck, they accused me of denting it. The vehicle had no damage upon return. They told me to return it on Sunday night and leave the keys in the key return box, which I have done. Next thing I know the accusations started flying. They were very uncooperative and attempted to intimidate me. They used my credit card without my authorization which is a dishonest business practice bordering on fraud.
