I got rear ended at beginning of August and needed body shop work on my car.Amica helped me get a loner car through Enterprise. I have used Enterprise in Norwood and another one in Dedham in past and have had good rentals and good experiences. Alex picked me up at Akiki Auto with the rental I had was a zford Escape it was too big and boxy for me so I asked to be switched into something similar to my Mazda CX30. I was then helped by CJ and switched into their Carbon Mondel Mazda 2024 CX30 I instantly got in and was hit with smell of smoke. I also had to put the car seat in car myself with work clothes on and heels... But the guys were very helpful in extending my rental while my car work kept getting pushed back. I only have it 3 stars due to issues with rental the buttons were stuck the driver door sounded hollow when shut. Dents and chunk taken on one tires just very little upkeep and maintenance on the car. Alot wear and tear. And took almost month to get smoke smell out. Not ideal with toddler. read more

On September 23, I rented a Jetta for the DAY. I opted to additionally purchase the damage protection. I had it only a few hours. While it was parked at my home, a neighbor told me it has a flat. A flat? How? So I instantly called Enterprise and they connected me with their roadside assistance team. They shared that this car has NO spare tire (why wouldn't it?) and they were coming to tow it. They asked if I needed a replacement car and I declined. Them towing from my property is the last time I saw it. (No one ever told me I'd be charged for any of this) Fast forward to September 29. I needed a rental for the DAY once more. Upon entering, I asked if the Jetta was all set. The employee quickly said it was, and I proceeded with my next rental. (I had NO idea at this point I was yet to be charged a huge bill) so then I got an unsafe Mirage and within a couple hours, I returned it. It shook at 70mph and the alignment was WAY off. Long story short on that - they ended up refunding the Mirage, which was nice. But I let them know that that car should NOT be on the road. So remember the Jetta, from the 23rd? Well, it seems some of the folks at this Dedham location cannot keep accurate records. Their paperwork (and the final bill) claims I had the Jetta from September 23-26, AND I was charged on top of that a late return fee so my $88 rental became a $357 rental. Since I've learned of this - I've been reaching out to Enterprise for over 2 weeks with no success. I've chatted through their website. I've called and spoken with a few reps and even Escalation. I've called the Dedham branch and I've emailed the assistant manager. Not ONE person has reached out to discuss this. If someone from the Dedham Enterprise location could call me to clarify their billing practices, that would be great. I'm owed over $200 and I'd love to know how they have NO record of the car being towed on the 23rd. read more

They gave me a Malibu from Florida. I took a ton of photos inside and out. So many dents and scratches. Inside the fabric was filthy. Obviously they tried to clean it to no avail. The brakes were super touchy. I will never buy a Malibu. I didn't even go anywhere in it. I was nervous about driving it. It also didn't "fit" me. read more

They gave me a Jeep Compass which smelled bad. BUT then car was in park but wouldn't shut off. Clearly,I should have pulled the negative battery cable and then drove the lemon back to Enterprise the next day. But it died and now it becomes your problem to call roadside assistance give them every piece of information Enterprise already has, then Uber to the next closest Enterprise which has no idea what's going. I would give this branch ZERO stars if possible. A renter from this location hit my car in a parking lot. She PURCHASED the extra insurance. The branch said they would submit a claim that day. Fast forward 34 days later, I have emailed the branch manager (no response), called the branch (never called me back), the renter contacted them several times, I called Enterprise corporate 9x and... no claim was ever filed. I should let you know that this location has an incredible staff. Matthew and Leonard provided exceptional service. There were a few minor communication issues which they swiftly took care of. The communication issues happened when the reservation was made with representatives that did not work at this particular location. The weekend special cost went up by a few dollars, however, the current price is supremely competitive and worthwhile. Kudos to manager, Kevin Baker, who IMMEDIATELY made our issue his own. He took personal responsibility while putting our mind at ease, He took care of us above and beyond with his professionalism and genuine concern. After managing hotels and restaurants for the majority of my 40 year career, I know how important it is to recognize outstanding individuals who go above and beyond to not only meet but exceeded client expectations. my mother rented a car from enterprise, they have charged her for a tiny damage on the roof of the car which was not caused by her $1000. I have called the site to speak to the manager about our grievance, he was completely unprofessional, muttering things under his breath while I am explaining the issue, then started fully talking while I am talking until, I ended the call because obviously it was not leading to any resolution. I really felt like I was speaking to a teenager and not a manager of a rental company. i fell that this charge was deliberately planned since the associates there do not usually check the roof of the cars in order to blame my poor mother who is elderly. I have been calling enterprise customer service for three weeks and the calls and complaints have gone nowhere. my next step would have to be the better business bureau. They gave me the wrong date to return the rental car and wrote my cell phone number down wrong so I never got the text message and voicemail they claim to have made to the wrong number. They had my email correct and I was never provided a notice through it. I returned my car on the 10th (the day I was told to) but then told that insurance only covered up until the 6th. The people at the Dedham office are incredibly friendly! I had a car from them when my car was in the body shop after an accident. When the rental car started making a strange noise, they swapped it out. When I got my car back and I returned the rental, I mentioned how much I loved the second car (a VW Jetta). I ended up having to return my car to the shop for a day a few days later, and they went the extra mile and got another Jetta for me to drive for that day! I am writing in regards to an extremely frustrating experience I have had in dealing with services here in Massachusetts. The main concern I am addressing is my experience at the Dedham, MA location. Upon my arrival at this site, after painfully trying to get in contact with multiple Enterprises in the Randolph and Quincy area about cars that were promised to be in their lot and find out out that these promised cars did not exist, I was greeted with extreme unprofessional-ism from an associate. I was referred to as "dude" multiple times even before explaining the situation that brought me to Enterprise on that day. When I had went to go look at multiple different cars out in the lot with the associate I had decided one of the Nissan Altimas would be the best fit for me. My associate was absolutely 0 help in helping me find a vehicle as I appeared to come off as a massive nuisance to his daily activities. Just as I was about to take out the Altima I had noticed that there was a massive gash in the front passenger side wheel, no thanks to the associate. I requested that we look at another vehicle and found another Nissan Altima that fit my needs. Once again, my associate did not do a good job of doing any type of inspection and took a very gingerly stroll around the car barely looking for any type of blemishes, he was mostly on his phone during this process. The car was also backed in up against a fence which made it extremely difficult to walk around the back of the vehicle, so much to the point none of us has walked there. I left the damage inspection in his hands and trusted that he would not allow me to take out a vehicle with any type of damage on it after what had just happened. Once this unprofessional experience was over I had driven the car out of the lot and back to my home. At my house I had backed the vehicle into my driveway and noticed a hole the size of a quarter in the rear bumper on the driver side. Wondering if I had just done this or if it may have been missed while at Enterprise (which is entirely possible due to the lack of attention to detail from my associate and position from the vehicle) I called the number on my associate's business card to check if this damage was documented. I call his card number and the conversation goes as follows after I give my information: Me: "I just wanted to see if this hole in the car is already documented." Associate: "Oh you mean the hole on the back of the car? On the driver side?" Me: "Yes that exact one" Associate: "Yeah we got that, no need to worry" End conversation. Now my concern is due to the fact that I have recently been contacted by my insurance company in regards to this exact hole. I have called multiple different numbers of Enterprise now about this issue and it appears that whatever documentation there was on the hole that day I had called has disappeared. I cannot believe this situation and am extremely frustrated from the lack of accountability that I have seen on Enterprise's end. I can completely see how my associate would miss this hole or could have told me false information, given his attitude about his job on that particular day. I was notified by my insurance company on January 31st that the vehicle was reportedly in an accident on January 30th, 2020. Once again, I cannot believe this situation and unfortunately I will never be utilizing the services from Enterprise again given this horrid experience. read more

Called the office twice to make sure they were still picking me up and I didn't have to make other arrangements. Nobody came. Spoke with main office, a manager apologized, sincerely. Said she'll find the local branch folks and have them call me (after office close). No one called that night. No one called even on Monday. No one called ever. Glad I made a reservation. The whole weekend wasted with no car. This is the third time I had a headache with Enterprise. And the 2nd time with this office. The first two times they were pushing more expensive cars while specifically asked multiple times not to go over certain amount a day covered by insurance. Plenty of other car rental shops to go to. Worst experience I've ever had with any rental company. I made a reservation for a day trip and needed a car to visit family. Parked the car and was ready to make my trip. The car absolutely smelled horrible. I came back to the dedham location and wasn't given a new car, and all they did was spray it with some kind of air freshener. The smell was horrible and it wouldn't leave the car. I was told to then go to the Norwood location to see if they have cars, and that I couldn't take a car on their lot because "it would hurt their customer service for a customer who booked it prior". I AM A CUSTOMER, WHAT ABOUT ME??? Norwood didn't give me a car either, and I forced to stick with a smelly car that I didn't even use for the trip to Maine. I went to CVS to buy cleaning products to try and get rid of the smell, and still it wouldn't work. Went through too much for this one trip. The least they can do is give me a refund because the trip was ruined because of this. Will never use enterprise again, or at least never the dedham location. Ridiculous. I wish I could leave 0 stars. Still waiting on my refund by the way!! read more

Nothing spectacular about the service at this location. I used enterprise simply because they come and pick you up and their vehicles are nice and clean. That's what keeps them above their competitors. As for this location and their service, the service was so-so. I did get into a rental, but the rental wasn't that clean. The windows were not clean nor was the car washed. I was short on time and would be visiting my family for a couple days, so I didn't bother making a complaint. The young lady gave that me service was nice and polite so no problems there. Just they need more help and someone on call to clean/vacuum the cars. When a business is short staffed, it will show. Enterprise being a world know rental place should not only been known for the company that will pick you up, but also a company great service and clean vehicles. Just saying. read more

We rented a "Chevy Suburban or similar" car for just under a week through Orbitz and Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Dedham. The Enterprise rep called a few days in advance to confirm our reservation. Due to a looming snowstorm I left a voicemail the night before to ask if we could get the car earlier than our 10AM start time, but did not hear back. The location is on a busy road and there is ironically not a huge amount of parking. Inside the facility is very bare bones and seemed a bit run down. After waiting for a few minutes, Leonard, the branch manager, helped me out. He mentioned that while there wasn't a Suburban available, there was a Dodge Durango. I wasn't sure if that would be big enough for our party. He mentioned that he might be getting one at noon and said I could swap if desired. I headed home. The Durango was pretty cool and the biggest bonus was the heated steering wheel in the frigid weather. However, it turned out that due to our crew size with luggage we would need something bigger. I called Leonard at noon and he said he would have the Suburban in 30 minutes and he would call me back. He did and I headed back over to do the car swap. The Suburban was exactly what we needed. I rented from them for my personal use last year on more than one occasion. Once for a week and once for a few days when my car was in for repair. I had a wonderful experience. They picked me up and dropped me at my house. Once it was in a raging snow storm the car was warmed up and cleared of snow when I arrived. I got a great rate. I travel alot for work and all car rental companies try and collect extras for things like insurance, damage waivers, child seats, gps units and taxes. My Car dealer service department rented a car for me from the Hyde Park Enterprise Rent a car company on Monday 3-9-15 in order to fix my car. Although the Car dealer was paying for the rental, Enterprise took $150.00 from me telling me it was what they do and that as soon as I returned the rental I would be refunded my $150.00 within 24 to 48 hours after that.. I returned their rental on the next day Tuesday 3-1015 and I am still waiting for them to refund my money!!! I have called numerous times to discuss this with them, and they keep giving me bullshit answers like they have to talk to the dealer, when I in fact was standing in front of the service guy the very day I turned back in the rental when he called back in the rental car to Enterprise to let them know it was returned. I called today again, and they are still giving me the run around. One Rep stated she was going to call me back and she did not. I tried to call again but now they are closed for the day. I would hate to have to go back there and cause a scene but if I have to I will. This is the worse Customer Service I have ever had. They are not treating me with any kind of respect as a customer.
