Called them because my motorcycle wouldn't start. I was able to schedule a diagnostic appointment online very promptly. I wasn't sure who to take the bike to, because mine is made by Genuine Scooters and most bike shops aren't familiar with it. However, being a scooter shop they recognized the bike immediately. They towed it back to the shop immediately and had it fixed within a day. Very prompt, pleasant to deal with and easy to get ahold of. read more

We rented two scooters here and had a great time! We called the day of to schedule, and then simply arrived and filled out a few forms and we were off! The scooters only require a normal driver's license (they're 50cc and go up to ~40mph), come with helmets, and are pretty straightforward to drive. We took them out for a half day to drive around and picnic. The drop-off was also very simple and without issue. We'll be back again! read more

My Genuine Scooter had a couple of issues, including a deflating tire and a rusted muffler, so I brought it in for a tune up. I thought I'd have to replace the muffler entirely, but Konstantin managed to clean it up, paint it and make it look like new! Normally, companies would try to upsell more product, but not at Scooter Mutter. The pricing was very fair and the customer service was great. What incredible service. Tobias (Tobi) came by my old apartment where my now-dead scooter has resided for the last few months. Upon arrival, we quickly discovered the both wheels were locked up due to exposure to the elements. Unfortunately, my ex-neighbors had removed my tarp and put the scooter in the dirty, where it got stuck even further. Despite this, Tobi had a positive attitude and was determined to get the scooter on the trailer and to my new spot. After a quick debate, we worked together and got the scooter into the trailer. It wasn't easy, but Tobi did most of the work so I surely cannot complain. The entire time he assisted me in getting it onto the trailer, he was positive, polite, and had a great sense of humor. The price was right before AND after my case was determined to be an emergency tow. The emergency tow cost was less than the cost of a regular tow from services I have used in the past. I will be recommending Scooter Mutter and Tobi to all of my friends and fellow scooter buddies. You won't be disappointed! read more

Rented a gts250 Vespa from these guys and the scooter was in great shape! They even delivered and picked up the scooter when I wanted them to! They provided us with helmets as well. Konstantin is awesome and went above and beyond for me. When I replaced an aging Vespa LX150 with a brand new GTV 300 I was left with two motorcycle-class scooters at home. The LX150 still ran well but has little to zero resale value and I am not really enough of a mechanical hacker to want a 2nd vespa around "for parts". I can't really "give" or "gift" it to someone because it requires a motorcycle license and all the other associated stuff to keep it legal. Konstantin was the solution. He did a long distance transport (~200 miles one way) and delivered the LX150 to our weekend camp in western maine. Long distance transport is not something that ScooterMutter really specializes in but Konstantin was willing/able and the price was reasonable given the time and distance involved. I went here a couple of times, and though I had great customer service, my scooter wasn't fixed. But when I told them this and expressed my displeasure, they responded right away, came to pick up my bike, and they worked on it until they found the problem and fixed it. Not only did they only charge me for parts, but the scooter also works better than it did before I even went there in the first place. It now has no problem starting, it doesn't stall, and it handles hills way better than before. Found these guys via google search. I liked that they advertise their prices online, it was very helpful. I emailed them in the evening and got a response the next morning. We set up a time and destination. Price was lower then I anticipated at $126 to tow my honda VT1100 shadow from Waltham to Andersen Cycle works in Framingham. Tobias and I loaded my bike onto their trailer then he strapped it down and was off. I would recommend them to my friends. read more

Only place I'm aware of that you can rent a Vespa. Family owned, easy to schedule, with choice of 50cc, 150cc, or 250cc Vespa's. Ended up gettting the 250cc for a fall folliage drive. Highly recommended. They also offer towing services if you have you're own bike/Vespa. read more

Blew a headgasket on my '83 Honda in a Medford parking lot, they were relatively quick to respond and very communicative over estimated arrival times and location. Toby was very professional at loading up the bike; with his "for-bikes" trailer, the process is quick, easy, and much safer than a flatbed that I've had previous experience with. He drove my bike and I back to my side of town, helped with unloading and getting it to my driveway, and charged me about a third as much as a flatbed. All in all, a very professional experience from a very professional dude at a fraction of the price of any other cut-throat towing service. I think this is the first Yelp review I've written, although I'm a heavy Yelp user. Writing this because I had a really good experience with Scootermutter. Basically, I was excited to get a scooter but nervous about riding one safely. I decided to rent a scooter for a couple hours to see what it was really like to ride one, and not only did Konstantine rent me a 50cc at a reasonable rate and give me great advice, but he actually went out with me and gave me a tutorial / lesson on how to ride well. It boosted my confidence and I ended up buying a used scooter I was eyeing. Now happily riding it around Boston and loving it.
