This place has breads, donuts, and chips for the super discount. The pack of donuts I got are my favorite and I got them for like $1!!! That's a win!

    All this for $8!

So much amazing bread for only $1 or $2 a loaf. I got a 2 pack of Thomas Cinnamon Raisin bread for $2. That's only a dollar a loaf. Keto bread for a buck. Raspberry Danish for $2. Remember they are CASH ONLY!

Entenmanns is the best place to come for any Brad related items! If you live near Binford you should definitely give it a try! The prices are ridiculously cheap because the products are close to reaching their sell-by date. It doesn't necessarily mean the sell-by date is the next day, it could be a week or so out. I always buy a lot of bread items and just throw them in the freezer and end up getting a great price here! I really don't think any item is over $2. That means you can get boxes of donuts for $2 or less, cheese, pound cakes, Louisiana crunch cakes, mini muffins, bagels, hot dogs or hamburger buns, and so much more! The store also has a rewards punch card so once that card is completely filled you end up getting another free bread item and most days they'll have a table free bread items to take with you as well. Just make sure that you are polite and you only take one of the free items. You'll want to make sure you get there early as soon as the store opens Because by the end of the day they'll be cleared out!

Stock up on bread and pastries at this hidden little gem! If you shop regularly then make sure you get a shoppers reward punch card! They have different things in stock all the time. Usually baked goods that is near expiration date but still soft and good to eat! I LOVE stopping in when I pass that way. It's in a strip mall near GEORGES PLACE restaurant.

Carb city! Mostly "day old" products, I think, but still well within the sell-by date. I love their whole wheat and multi-grain breads and bagels. They also have a lot of sugary sweets and chips (which I mostly avoid.) I don't know if it's worth going far out of your way for, but if you're driving by it, you'll save a bit compared to the full-price at grocery stores. Their parent company is now the Mexican "Bimbo" bakery. I love to take Bimbo products to church dinners, and offer them to one of the sweet little old ladies: "Would you like some Bimbo bread?" ;-)

$10 goes so far in here! Bring your own bag. Staples to stock up (isn't, keto bread) and some surprise finds like butter pound cake.

$1 bread, donuts, muffins. What else do you need to know? Just make sure you check the open hours because they can be a bit wonky.

This is THE place to get bread and bagels if you want to save money. Each item is only $1, so you can load up for weeks for almost nothing!

Still the best hands down! I was in haughville and wanted to grab a little smomething somewhere…read more.. then it hit me; Longs! I was hoping it would still be open around 230pm. Well they stay open till 10pm! Hooray! Most other donuts shops and bakeries close early afternoon, so just another reason Longs is 5 star. Small but efficient. People always friendly donuts always fresh and delicious. Fyi- Still cash only.

I came for one free donut... and left with a box full of bad decisions…read more I'm originally from Connecticut and was driving through Indianapolis on my way back to Louisville when someone told me, "Don't leave Indianapolis without stopping at Long's Bakery." Whoever you are... thank you. You changed my life. The sweet woman behind the counter heard where I was from and handed me a complimentary glazed yeast donut. Let me tell you... WHEW! It wasn't even fresh out of the oven, and it still melted in my mouth. Light, soft, perfectly glazed... I knew right then I was in trouble. I ended up buying a box with blueberry cake, applesauce cake, cinnamon sugar, Bavarian cream, glazed yeast, and a few others. Everything was incredibly fresh, and at those prices, I had to double-check the menu because I thought I was reading it wrong! When I got back to my parents' house in Louisville, we warmed a few up for just a few seconds. Game over. They somehow tasted even better. My plan was to take some to church tomorrow to share... but judging by how fast they're disappearing, I may be testifying about them instead. Before I left, the woman smiled and said, "Make sure you come back when you're in town." Oh, I'll be back. I may even create reasons to drive through Indianapolis now. Long's Bakery doesn't need fancy displays or trendy flavors. They simply make outstanding donuts with friendly service and prices that make you wonder if they accidentally forgot inflation. 10/10. Worth every mile of the detour.

This place has been around for a long time and has always had incredible baked goods. There used donuts are amazing. Simpli place hasn't really changed much probably since it was opened new paint once in a while, the ladies behind the counter are always very friendly and talkative. This place usually has an extremely long line especially on the weekends, I was lucky that there was no one in line when I got there. Prices are really good. They have a whole lot of different options. Different choices of donut, cakes, pastries. The atmosphere is like an old-fashioned bakery. They even have a picture on the cash register from back in the day. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a great yeast donut, or any kind of donut or cake. This is definitely a go to place in Indianapolis.

I purchased one dozen cake & yeast mixed and 2 dozen donut holes, $23 and change. Although the donut holes were tasty, they were pre-bagged in white wax bags in the case so I didn't see them before purchasing. I was surprised that they were basically six holes still attached to each other, so each dozen are just two large donuts and you are left to separate them. People buying donut holes generally are looking for a bite sized donut that aren't going to have to be fingered by everyone you are sharing them with (the entire office). I view this as laziness. If I wanted one extra large donut, that's what I would have ordered. The point to donut holes is you only touch the one you're taking. Do better, Long's.
