Their fish AND shrimp tacos are amazing. Everything is cooked to order so it comes out super hot and fresh. The seafood is fried beautifully with a delicious batter and moist, tender fish inside. The owner is amazing and sweet too. Cuanto's tacos might be the more "known" spot in this food park, but Ensenada may be the best one. Cannot recommend more highly. read more

I was lucky enough to check out Ensenada for the first time when they hosted a pop-up with Tozi Foods, and I was blown away by everything! The all female squad showed up and showed out! Everyone was so sweet and warm and welcoming! And when it came to the food, it was top notch. The Taco Dorado was amazing and it hit all the right marks. But the real winner to me was the oyster taco. I was skeptical of the taco because I'm not the biggest fan of oysters (they are hit or miss to me), but this taco made me a believer. I came to this spot last weekend as I was in the area. For those of you who don't habla Espanol, the namesake of this location 'ensenada' translates to "bay" in English. It can also refer to the following: an inlet, which is a small bay in the coastline of a sea or lake or a cove, or a small bay or inlet of the sea. Soooooo what should be served here? Tacos which are made from fish and/or things from the sea. When here, I ordered two menu items to include a shrimp taco and ceviche. I am personally a fan of wild-caught shrimp, such as the Key West Pink Shrimp from Florida's coast, as they add a healthful boost to any meal. These shrimp thrive on a natural diet of plankton, snails, and small fish, making them an excellent and nutritious choice for anyone looking to eat a bit healthier. In general, I enjoy just about every kind of taco, but any type of crispy seafood taco just holds a special place in my heart... and stomach! These crispy shrimp tacos were plump and accompanied by slaw and pico de gallo. The shrimp batter on this dish was bold enough to stand alone and required little salsa as illustrated by the accompanying photo for this review. The ceviche was fresh and was finished off with a bit of lime. Both menu items were perfection and would make a great summer or spring time meal. As a special treat, a contestant from master-chef junior who is the food truck owners granddaughter/daughter was selling her home made brownies in front of the truck. I recently had the pleasure of trying Ensenada ATX on Cinco De Mayo after a hankering for tacos. It was my first time I had ever heard of the spot and I am so happy I accidentally stumbled upon it while scrolling the map on Apple Maps! As a true Southern Californian, I am very passionate about the quality of a fish taco and Baja style Mexican food in general. These were FANTASTIC. I ordered one fish and one shrimp taco, both were dressed with their slaw and house made red salsa. the last time I was in the owners recommended I try this chili oil type salsa that are making from scratch. I can't recommend highly enough. Great little gravel lot makes it easy to stop by for a quick lunch! Found this place after stumbling into a food truck lot. We surveyed the options and found this bright orange truck in the way back. The lot itself was cute with ample shade trees. First thing I loved about this spot is the owner's adorable cashier, her daughter. Not only did she take our order efficiently, she did so with the upmost poise. I was very impressed. Really good! I was the first customer of the day at 11am and the owner was very welcoming. A steady stream of people immediately followed. The fish taco, shrimp taco and ceviche tostada plus shrimp (weekend special) were all tasty. Even with the fried filling, the tacos were light and didn't feel greasy. To me, the shrimp taco has a slight edge over the fish. The tacos have a small drizzling of hot sauce on top in addition to the pico de gallo and it was enough to get my nose running. I'd suggest ordering it on the side if you're sensitive to heat. There are a few picnic tables with umbrellas to dine at and some fans to keep things cool. I'll be back! read more

I also snagged some salsa macha (it's a seca salsa, like a Mexican chili oil) that they had on hand to use in cooking later. The fish and shrimp were crisp and light with great flavor. The tostada was very balanced (add extra shrimp on top!) and paired great with the salsa verde and salsa macha. Owned by a mother-daughter team from Ensenada in Baja California, they operate out of a truck on MLK that opend last month. Light, filling, and satisfying in the 103-degree Austin heat. Shrimp cocktails and ceviche tostadas are also available on the weekends.
