Second time back and another great experience. Came back specifically for the sushi. We ordered 4 different rolls and they were all amazing. I was surprised the I especially liked the chili shrimp roll. It's something I would typically order. Service is good, I think our server name is Juan. He was very attentive. Came for a birthday celebration disappointed was not even acknowledged the hostess acknowledged others but not us very disappointing. Hi love this restaurant I have been coming here to celebrate various occasions. However, recently went to celebrate my birthday. The food itself was great no complaints. My complaint is that we weren't specifically for the teppan grill and show . And the cook did not do a show. He just cooked the food regularly It has a watch the table next to us get this spectacular show so feeling really disappointed that I decided to celebrate my birthday at this location. I wanted to like this place, but the dining experience was extremely disappointing. The only positive is that we were seated promptly. It was difficult to communicate with the server. Ordering felt like we were speaking a different language. The food came out, the cook temperature we ordered for our streak entrees was incorrect. The food lacked flavor, the steak was chewy, the chicken was dry. The quality of the fish on the sushi platter we ordered was questionable. If you're looking for a Teppan Yaki spot with a variety of food options this is def the spot. We ordered the LOVE ME TENDER; FILET W/ SCALLOPS; NEW YORK STRIP; and SASHIMI DELUXE. I absolutely loved the service. Our host communicated and continued to check in with us as we waited for our seats... Lady was our chef and she was such a sweetheart. She even let me sample some of everyone's entrees as I had ordered Sashime so had nothing at the grill to eat. Josh was our server and he was extremely attentive and friendly. I especially enjoyed how he made sure our drinks were never empty and that we were happy with what was being served to us. We never got our soup and salads that comes with the entrees but Josh made it right and we were pleased. Lots of food is included in each order. I don't know what changed but it's so much better now! Came in on a Friday and got seated right away. Every sushi roll and sashimi platter we got was delicious and fresh, their sauces were so good. We also ordered teppan and my 4 year old ate an entire serving of chicken fried rice by himself (which was a very generous portion), my 10 year old ate all of his steak and shrimp. I hate half my food just to save the other half to eat the next day. The food is not bland at all like other places. It's honestly better than Benihana. I know it's risky to say but I'm going to say it again, better than Benihana! The last 2 times I went to Benihana, one in the last 2 months, it took 3 hours to receive our food after our reservation time... service is horrible now. Encore is an excellent and better alternative. We sat at the grill, party of 5 on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation, seated immediately. Server brought our drinks and appetizers. Chef came shortly after and prepared our chicken fried rice which was so darn good! He was funny and put on a great show. He cooked our food perfectly to order. I came here for the first time for my moms birthday. I can tell you this place gave me great experience throughout the whole time. The ambiance is for the night time but it was okay during the lunch time as well. The food was great especially the seafood, beef was okay but not the best. The cook performance was absolutely amazing and the server was really on top of things. Honestly, I really enjoyed every experience here. I will definitely come back here again but next time I will try the sushi. The price here is great selling point. You can't beat the price with this quality. Otherwise, I could go to a standard Japanese restaurant and get the same food for half the price and in half the time. So it is disappointing to see the chef just cooking. He made some attempts at twirling his spatula but kept dropping it and managed to drop an egg where it wasn't supposed to go. The food was decent but I felt let down. My kids love Teppan and since we discovered Encore, we haven't been back to Benihanas. Unfortunately, tonight's experience was BEYOND horrible. When we walked in (we had a reservation) and was sat promptly. I noticed the main room was not full but they sat us in the back room which we have never sat before. As soon as the chef started cooking, the room smoked up making it so hard to breathe. Thinking the vent needed some time to work it's magic we sat through until the fried rice was done before my daughter and I got up for some air. We walked out side with burning eyes and as we went back in I can see the room was completely filled with smoke. I complained to the server and he immediately grabbed a fan. Another server confirmed that this is a known issue as they had a blower ready on standby. That prompted me to speak to the manager. Chuck, the manager, confirmed they knew there was an issue with the vents. When I asked him why they would seat anyone in there knowing there was an issue he immediately pushed blame off of himself and said "I didn't seat you". No, but you are the manager and thus YOUR employee did. He did end up apologizing and offered to move us. When we finally sat and ate, the steak was over cooked, everything was salty and the scallops were no longer large scallops but the small bay scallops that were not good. Very disappointing experience and not sure I will return with management like that. He didn't even offer to discount the bill for the horrible experience. My kids didn't even get to watch them cook which is the whole reason we go to teppan! I hope someone at Encore reads this and does better. read more

Came here as a walk-in, it looked like they were fully booked for the hibachi grill so I would call ahead if you need to reserve or wait. There is dining table option where you could just order their dining menu option so my family opt for that and was seated quickly. Ambiance of the restaurant would be great for a date night, but would not recommend coming on a first date because food came out pretty slow. Sushi was good and plated well, new york steak was way smaller than we thought. If I come next time, I'll stick with their sushi. read more

It was our third time here, but never again. We waited 50 minutes for our food. And the fried rice was spoiled and inedible. The salmon was meager and dry, and the scallops were dry and rubbery.
