My friend and I are beginners of Mahjong players, but love the table game so much. So we are thrilled when San Gabriel Valley Chinese Cultural Association hosted the event at Common Corner Brewing. Honestly, I wouldn't have discovered the brewing spot unless I look for it. It's close to Aroma craft coffee and Starbucks on valley and lemon of Walnut. I ordered A poem to the dead beer by a friendly beertender! Very knowledgeable!! The brewery is modern, simple and nice place to catch up with friends when you want to have some alcohol outside of house!

Our plans changed last minute in Brea so we decided to change it up and see where it'd take us. So GLAD IT DID. Not only was the staff super sweet but the environment felt very welcoming. The drinks were all super yummy but our favorites were the Mexican lager and Irish red. (The bathroom also offered complimentary women necessities which i appreciate it so much and notice the small things like that)

What a fun stop to check out! It's in an industrial area so lots of parking around it. Always a friendly place to walk in, have a beer and chat it up. Beer menu is great. Glad they kept an ube drink as it's delicious!! The IPAs are always good! You can order in food and there's also a Mexican restaurant next door that we've ordered food from as well. There's some seating outside and lots of seating inside. Seems to be dog friendly too! Check them out! We'll be back!!

Common Corners Brewing may look like just another spot tucked into a strip mall on Valley Blvd, but inside you'll find one of the friendliest little breweries around. Crowds are a bit of a gamble--sometimes you walk into a lively packed house, other times it feels like your own private taproom. Either way, you're glad you came. The beer list is on the smaller side, but all the bases are covered--especially if you're an IPA fan (they usually have a few on deck). They lean toward fruit forward styles, which can be some of the best choices, and if you want to stray from beer altogether, their slushies are ridiculously good. Imagine a boozy, fruity Slurpee--dangerously refreshing. If you ever see the ube slushy on tap, stop what you're doing and order it immediately. It's incredible. Don't be worried though- they always have you covered with traditional choices. The staff and managers are always welcoming and never in a hurry to push you out the door. The small space manages to feel cozy instead of cramped, with a big screen usually playing sports or movies, plus books and games if you want to settle in for a while. They don't serve food, but you've got options: a solid Mexican restaurant right next door, Del Taco just down the strip, or whatever your DoorDash driver feels like bringing. Hours aren't every day (think Wednesday through Sunday), so check before you roll up. They also host special events, so peek at their Instagram or website to see what's happening. Kids are welcome too. Bottom line: cool people, good beer, and some of the best slushies you'll ever drink in a brewery. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

The beers here are decent and the staff is very friendly. They have a post about their daily food related trucks or popups and they even have dj sets from time to time. Their decor is very cool and gives a very inviting vibe. The letters to you and stick shift were the highlights of the beer. Good mixture between sours and ipas and light beers. It is very dog friendly and the staff is very nice and knowledgeable about the beer to assist you in what you want. Unfortunately they do not have flights, however they do let you have tasters to sample and determine what you want!

This brewery is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall (with PLENTY of parking). There is a small area for outdoor seating and TONS of seating indoors. We were drawn to this brewery due to the limited release seltzers that are on rotation. Pandan Ube Seltzer?! Watermelon coconut milk seltzer?! Unfortunately, these were the releases that we missed, but we got to try the honeydew slush and the Tropic like it's Hot (mango sticky rice fruited ale). The mango sticky rice ale was GOOD. Almost too good. Dangerously good. It had a great mouth feel and was mango forward and leaves you with a sticky rice aftertaste. I'm not sure how they accomplished this, but I'm all for it. The honeydew slush was EVEN MORE DANGEROUS. It was so refreshing to sit in the brewery's AC'd tasting room, playing games, and slurping down this slushie. It was very sweet and had ZERO alcohol taste. They have other beers and seltzers that aren't as dangerous, but who DOESN'T want to live dangerously? (hahajk). We also tried the "unworthy" that tasted great at first but soon after tasted like medicine. Thankfully, the staff is nice and friendly and allowed patrons to try before they buy.

A lot of bar seating and tables in the front and outside

I loved the lively and inviting ambience here. We walked in on a Friday night right before 6 and it was already packed but we managed to snag a table in the back. Ironically, I'm not someone who likes beer so I ordered the Gonna Drink A Lot of Peaches Slush and it was so sweet and masked most of the alcohol flavor. It was very easy and fun to drink so I went on to drink #2: Mango Sticky Rice seltzer. I don't know how they did it but it tasted exactly like that with the strong mango flavor and subtle notes of coconut for the "sticky rice" part of the drink. It was also very creamy and thick rather than smooth. There were a lot of people bringing in outside food but they also had a food truck outside, which I think rotates weekly, if you want to purchase a meal to eat with your drink.

It was our first time visiting this brewery and we were pleasantly surprised. My husband had the IPA and Lager. He enjoyed both which isn't common. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a craft beer.

Stumbled upon this one after a gig while looking to find the Dodger game. It's a gem in Walnut. Great beer! Good prices. Amazing service! It's a great sense a community that iwon me!

Hi, I was referred by a friend and love the Filipino representation! I was wondering if you guys hold pop-ups and if so, how can I apply to become a vendor? I'm the owner and head baker of OohBaeBakes, a dessert shop specializing in Ube desserts.

Hi Melanie! We currently utilize The Golden Goods Market for our event pop ups! Her name is Jennifer and she would be your point of contact. I also forwarded your Instagram for our Beers and Gears event for this coming September so be on the lookout… Read more

Are dogs allowed? Thanks!

Yes, I've seen a few dogs inside and out. Just make sure they're friendly :)

Hi there! We just bought a bottle of Pandan flavored beer- time frame to finish? Any best by dates?

Hi! I would say fresh is best. Once you pop it, I recommend finishing it and not putting it back in the fridge. I would say max a week. Best within 2-3 days. Cheers!… Read more

The beer selection is excellent, with something for everyone -- from crisp lagers to bold IPAs and rich, smooth stouts. Every pour tastes fresh and carefully crafted. You can tell quality and consistency matter here. A huge shoutout to Angelina, who absolutely made my night. She's friendly, engaging, and knows her stuff when it comes to the beer lineup. She made fantastic recommendations and created such a welcoming vibe behind the bar that we instantly felt like regulars. Also want to give credit to Mike, the general manager -- you can tell he runs this place with real pride and attention to detail. He checked in with guests, made sure everyone was having a great time, and clearly cares about both his team and the customer experience. It's refreshing to see that kind of leadership in action. All around, this brewery nails it -- amazing beer, exceptional staff, and a management team that truly gets it. If you're in the area, don't miss it. As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.
