My wife and I saw this place online while trying to figure out a new place to try some drinks and some food. You know- just a place to have a new date night out when we have someone to watch the kids. We enjoyed ourselves. The Mexican Lager we had there was great. The Serpent Smash Fries were great along with the loaded hotdog. Oh, and we had the Garlic Parmesan Colliflower "wings". I was very skeptical- I am not into that Colliflower crap stuff normally like my wife is, but I tried a couple out and it was surprisingly good. I wouldn't order something like that myself but it was pretty good and she loved it. I noticed the cook in the back looking around once something done and it looked like he was checking to see if people were enjoying the food and we were, I gave a subtle thumbs up cause- I wasn't 100% sure if that was what he was doing hahaha. Ok so Downtown La puente has a brewery?!? No longer are the days of going down Main St to head to 7 eleven the most popping club on the street, or riding my bike really fast down to meet up some AOL randos at the billiard place. I may have to leave West LA and find my way back home. I wasn't able to stay here too long but I got myself a refreshing West coast Pilsner . Too bad no sour on tap though. Also taco stand was right outside. This place is for everyone, solo peeps, couples, old couples, young families, groups who like to do paint and sips... I like that this was a no frills brewery in my hometown. No hipsters, no one taking curated pics of their food or beer, people actually talking to each other at the tables. Staff is so friendly here! Food is amazing and the ambiance is very inviting. So far ive tried wings and the smash burger, both so good. They usually have trivia nights on Thursday which is fun, usually on movies and based off of suggestions everyone leaves from the time before. read more

Checked this place out for the first time and I would definitely come back! We came on a Thursday night which also happened to be trivia night. The place was spacious so there's room for big parties. I ordered one of their most popular drink which was the ale and my so got the IPA. You can also bring food inside so we bought some food across the street to bring in. There's also TVs so we watched the game and it was a really chill night. The staff was friendly and able to help me recommend a beer for me. Highly recommend coming here! read more

Bam great place to visit and enjoy friends and family. Went out to la puente for the anniversary of run club and as always bring your own snacks and they have the best craft beer here. I git I think it was called a swartzanater it was a nice smooth dark beer that was blended perfectly. I must come back here again very soon. Plenty of parking around this location. They do allow outside food and there's also a taco vendor outside if u crave Mexican food. The music is upbeat. The service is amazing!!!!! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. And the inside is perfect for events. I went for a local fundraiser for awareness with children with cancer. The brewery open their doors to allow a group to host and donated a percentage of the school drink purchased. They're very supportive of the community so I gladly support this location. So cool to see such a cool spot in La Puente. Stopped by here on my way to visit my mom and it was popping. The dodger game was on and there is lots of seating. Parking is easy, convenient and free. We sat at the bar and tried their pineapple seltzer and blonde. I also got a taster of the cucumber sour. The sour was good but a little too sour for me. Great spot for the local community! Stopped by on a Wednesday night for Lotería night which was super fun. It's still a work in progress but it's a great open space. The kitchen is still not open but they let you bring your own food items from the time being. Staff is super friendly and take the time to connect with the customers. My hubby n I passed by this place on our way to Domestics. It had recently opened so we stop by for a drink. The service was great and the beer was cold. The only thing I can say is they do not serve food however they were cool to allows us to bring outside food. The second time around we brought my sister & brother in law. Again, stopped by for 1 drink before going out to get food... 1 drink turned into about 4 or 5 and ended up being a game night with UNO & Dominoes. Very cool spot! The drinks were great, with a wide variety of seltzers! You could customize and turn them into a miche. The pop up taco and burrito stand was amazing, my girlfriend and I had to go back for seconds. Great spot for a brewery in downtown La Puente. Lots of seating - large, open space, with nice tables and artwork. Easy street parking or an empty public lot. Food stand was outside that last time I went - good tacos. Only a handful of beers on tap at the moment - all good. How many do you need? It's a new brewery - just opened a little more than a month ago. Takes time to make beer. There's not that many breweries in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) so if you're in the La Puente, Hacienda Heights, or City of Industry area, definitely give it a try. read more

We drove all the way from the high desert to San Dimas to visit this brewery for the first time, and let me tell you.... We were not disappointed! We visited during their day of the dead event, and we got to watch Aztec Dancers, listened to wonderful music, had some tasty tacos, ice cream, but best of all, the beer!!! Upon our arrival, we noticed the beautiful art and photography that really embraces Mexican culture. Being Mexican ourselves, we immediately felt at home. Their beer selection is broad, ranging from seltzers all the way to stouts. My favorite by far was the "Candy Paint" with watermelon chamoy rim. The michelada flight is also a must try! We loved the welcoming ambiance of the brewery, it almost felt like we were surrounded by family, which was awesome. We got to meet the owners of the brewery, and they made it feel even more like home! We even mentioned to them that we felt like we were at a cousin's house. Everyone is so friendly, and I cannot stop mentioning how comfortable we felt through our entire visit. They are definitely family friendly, for all of us momma's and poppa's out here. No babysitter? No problem, my 6 year old enjoyed visiting and keeps asking when we will be going back. Needless to say we will be back soon! This brewery is a must try! Do not miss out! read more

Both bartenders had good customer service and social. Place is still in the process of renovations I'm assuming so gotta give them the benefit of the doubt with upgrades to follow. We had a great visit this past Friday. We are from NorCal and came looking for Chicano breweries while in town. Once we found it, this place did not disappoint. Loved the decor but sad to hear they will be moving since they have a beautiful mural up. WE loved every beer we tried and we were there for a spell. We were tempted to get a michelada flight as they looked delicious but we stuck with straight up beers. We took a growler of Marigold home with us. Here I am at Feathered Serpent Brewing, which makes brewery visit #177 for me. SWPFTD and I intended to stop here on our last visit to So. Cal but the timing didn't work out. She couldn't join me this trip unfortunately but to keep my thousands of followers, well ok, hundreds...ok, ok, my HANDFUL of followers happy I stopped in here. FSB is in your typical industrial area and didn't look to have any outdoor seating permanently set up but they did have ez-ups and folding chairs in a corner so it looks like they do set up outside also. The tasting room was a good size though and had plenty of seating. I tried a flight of four beers going with a range of styles. The Hola Sunshine is described as a "tart refreshing" beer, which it certainly was. It was basically a shandy in flavor and would've great on a hot day sitting on the porch. Pocos Peros Locos is a sour ale flavored with mango, cherry, guava, and pineapple. At first glance I thought that might be too many flavors but they actually worked well together. I'm assuming this is extract flavored as that would be a lot of uncertainty in flavor with real fruit. Regardless, I liked this beer. The Peachy Ghuey is a peach sour which looks like it might as well be peach juice. A whole lot of mouth feel thickness adds to the juicy flavor. This was good but I'm not sure I could drink a whole one, although in a half pint glass it could replace orange juice at breakfast. The gent at the bar suggested the Marigold amber ale when I asked what beers they were particularly proud of. I would have ordered one regardless in honor of SWPFTD but it worked out that it was also one of their most popular. Nice and malty on the nose with malt, caramel and a little hop kick to balance it off. This is a swell little amber ale! When is the last time you heard someone use the word "swell"? It's time to bring that back along with "groovy", which fits as I listen to Steppenwolf sing "Magic Carpet Ride". I ordered an extra pint of the Marigold as I chatted with the bartender. It is a really good beer. I highly recommend FSB and will definitely be bringing SWPFTD here when we are back in the area. They are open and their patio set up is nice and spacious. I love the beers here. The double ipa and hazy my go to but their raspberry wheat ale is so damn delicious, and I am not big on fruit ales or things of that nature.. Also.. any beer can be a michelada for $2 bux more! Oh man, this is an awesome local spot! I ordered some beer to/go. They have cans made to order so they pour fresh. It's been a while since I stopped by. I was impressed with the newer beers they offer such as the Raza Sour and the Raspado. If you've had a Raspado, I almost wanted to pour this over some ice it's that good. Came here for wildcard weekend and I was not disappointed. It's a small brewery so I thought there was just gunna be a few choices, but THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. So glad to see a business that tries hard to make a good product. There's sours, blondes, stouts, and IPAs. There would have been a picture of the michelada flight but I drank it too fast to even get a pic. They have all the games playing and actually had a promotion if you wear your team's jersey.
