Take out box of Empire Buffett in Southbridge MA food.

Good food, nice staff and clean place. I like the many options this "American style Buffett," offers. I dine in sometimes but mostly do the takeout. It's a cozy place and I enjoy eating there. The only thing I don't like is how much the staff watches you. They don't like it if you grab more than two plates of food. I understand they are just trying to keep things under control, but it is off putting to be watched so much while you are grabbing your food. Other than that, I think Empire Buffett deserves the four stars I gave them.

Even though I run alot, I decided I would like to discover more buffets. Conveniently, Empire was near a race I attended. I love how clean it was and staff was very nice and quick. There's not alot of options for most people, but for what they have, I'm happy. My go to is always fried rice an general's chicken (total bummer if they didn't have it). Then I mix and match until I get full. They do have sushi, but there's no visible sushi chef constantly making it. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area again.

Not sure why the low star level, perhaps they were all expecting authentic regional Chinese cuisine rather than Chinese American or in this case American Chinese. We popped into this place several months ago for a quick bite while traveling and found ourselves impressed by the quality, diversity, constant oversite, cleanliness and buffet replenishment. Since that first visit we've been back 3 or 4 times and their consistency is remarkable and commendable. I will also add their Hot and Sour Soup is one of the best, better than most dedicated Szechaun restaurants. I get it, Chinese buffets get a bad rap most deserve it, just not this one. They have many stellar dishes to chose from which are executed beautifully, not only do they present well they are way above the average in freshness, taste and quality. Giv'm a try; see for yourself; I trust you'll see a stark difference between this buffet and others. Just don't go there looking for authenticity; stop, focus on quality, freshness, taste and the hospitality you will receive when you dine there.

A hidden gem in a pass through town. The management really caters to you Ask the lady st the cashier if u have questions or special requests all entries r super tasty n prepared fresh daily. Very clean environment for the family to eat in w a big selection of oriental items as well as american fried chicken This empire restaurant has both buffet n ala carte items It's in southbridge n not affiliated with the Sturbridge restaurant Have had an extended stay n eaten here at all hours both lunch m dinner. Haven't had a bad experience They were able to accommodate my gluten free diet as well as the kids allergies dinner menus had more sea food There's even a few sushi rolls open 7 days a week 11 to 10 saw truckers parked in the lot so it's a good value hope u enjoy like our family has

Don't bother going here. The food tasted like it was cooked days before. Dry and tough and horrible flavor. I won't be going back.

This is a real bargain, the buffet is pretty good but you can't beat the price. We will definitely be back.

Fresh food on the buffet! You know it's a good buffet if it's full of Senior Citizens on a Sunday!

Unfortunately, the hunt continues for good crab rangoons. The interior is quite large, and while the lobby has a nice fountain, the dining area rug is ratty and the seats are patched with tape. Like American Chinese food, the best years are behind us with this place. The service was super friendly and attentive, at least. I started off with a pu pu platter, for no other reason than it's been a long time. The experience is just a fun as I remember, and actually all the appetizers on the platter were great, with the exception of the crab rangoons which are the, now typical, all cream cheese and no other flavor variety. Also ordered was a rice plate with more of the same appetizers, pork lo mein, chicken mei fun, and scallion pancakes. The mei fun was the best thing we got all day. It was cooked just right, tasted fine, had a little slip to the noodles without being greasy. The lo mein was too heavy on the propane, so the wok hei was thrown off. The scallion pancakes lacked flavor, e even with the ginger sauce, and the texture was too dense. I've driven past here on trips to Old Sturbridge Village in the past, came here just for the restaurant today, and now will have to resume driving by it in the future.

I ordered roast pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs. Simple and delicious. I also got the edamame which came plain or possibly lightly salted - either way I put my roasted garlic blend on them at home. They seemed fresh and popped at the right time if you know what I mean. The rice wasn't full of the usual stuff you see in a lot of like foods around here. That stuck out to me. The boneless spare ribs weren't dripping in sauce which was nice. They also were also not dried out the next day for leftovers. I'd say this place is def worthy of the high reviews they've received lately! Seems unassuming from the outside- a bit smoky inside but not the burning smoky- a stir fry smoky!

Designed to be wolfed down over a bed of soft rice. The kind of place I THOUGHT I'd have no trouble finding in New York City, but which my husband and I actually make a special point of ordering from every time I come home to where I grew up. Vegetarian? Get the Szechuan bean curd. It's pillowy fried tofu in a spicy sauce, accompanied by all kinds of steamed vegetables. Their General Tso's tofu is generally the same thing, but no vegetables. I wish they had scallion pancakes, because I know they would kill those too. The veggie fried rice is great. My mom swears by the hot and sour soup and Mongolian beef.
