Great flavor. Customer service was excellent. I like being able to see into the kitchen. Seating area was clean. Bathroom clean. I will be returning! Ordered the following: Alcapurria:8/10 good flavor but too greasy Bacalaitos: 8.5/10 a tad bit too salty. I know cod is salta and the dish is known for the salt, it was a bit too much. Still flavored good. Needed ketchup mayo to cut salt. Chicken empanada: 10/10 not filled all the way, but worth the price. Fried beautifully and the chicken was extremely good. Trifongo Churrasco: 10/10 so tender. So flavorful. I honestly wish I had more. Mofongo Pollo Guisado: 10/10 immense flavor. Recommending.

The service was pretty good. Even though I can't have sugar, the pastries at the register looked delectable. I had the grilled chicken mofongo. I did not feel rushed until the desert course was served with the check. The variety of the dishes was fun to experience; each course was very different. Puerto 511 does really well with seafood. My favorites courses were the Ceviche Amazonico and the Tamalito Verde. The flavors were incredible. The Pulpo en su Causa was also a very interesting dish. The combination of ingredients and the inclusion of a cold mashed potato component were both innovative. I was disappointed with the other courses, though. The veal was tough, the lamp chop was tough, and the desert was not very flavorful. The quinoa flan and the passionfruit ice cream did not match very well in flavor or texture. The restaurant building itself was ok. The ambiance did not indicate fine dining to me. The service was not very personable. I would like to come back sometime in a different season, when there is a new menu. But overall, I would say Puerto 511 is definitely a dining experience worth trying.

A good list/variety of Cocktails including Zero. Dan is the Man and not only made drink recommendations but navigated the menu for us. Lessons in Alliteration and the Mezcal y Manaca were my favorites, Guayabita and Vieja Escuela were also enjoyed. We started with the Patacon Salvaje -Calamari, avocado etc-just wanted to look at it as it was a work of art-tasty, Tequenos-their version of cheese sticks-the Guayaba sauce takes it over the top! First course-Alma Caesar salad-order it! Brussel sprouts, kimchi dressing-enough said, Caribe Atomico-have never had scallops (thinly sliced) this way before and loved it-the sauce wants to be spicy but stops at savory and the rice cracker complimented nicely-basically a Ceviche and another must try. Entrees-based on recommendation went with the Solomo Criollo (prime NY strip)-came out medium rare as ordered and Yuca with Chimichurri was a perfect side. The Duck Attolado stole the show! Exquisite spiced Duck breast over a bed of rice similar to Paella-delicious! Service was attentive and engaged-Kez took great care of us. Prices are at a premium and rightfully so as you won't find these creations on every corner. Perfect spot for date night!

We started with the Tequeños and Patacón Salvaje (the best bite of the night for me!). Then came the Caribe Atómico (a little too salty) and Caribbean Surf & Turf Salpicón. For our entrees we tried the Duck Atollado (the rice in this dish was amazing and so flavorful) and the Pelao Guayanés. Everything was well prepared and so tasty. Dessert was the Vanilla Quesillo and Cacao+, would skip, dessert was our least favorite course.
