Traveling on the way back home . Decided to look for something different in the Columbus Ohio area. Stumbled upon Emilio's restaurant and saw the great reviews. Let me tell you this is something that you don't want to miss. If you're familiar from the Detroit area and Louis's pizza, this would be comparable but round. Toppings go all the way to the very edge. The pepperoni curls up and it gets so nice and crunchy it melts in your mouth like cotton candy. The salad is provolone cheese crispy pieces of pepperoni, tomatoes, and really delicious Home made Italian dressing. Definitely a must try.! The inside has a vintage feel of an old-time bar. Very well maintained and clean. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Stop on in! Oh the cauliflower pizza, not sure if it's necessarily celiac safe, is delicious. This place is a staple on the westside of Columbus Ohio. The food is well known for its taste. The pizza salad combo is all you need to order. If you want a table cloth and someone to speak softly to you this is not the place for you. If you like hearty good food and be treated like family then this is the place. I ordered the small well done pepperoni pizza! It was the perfect size pizza but it was a tad on the greasy side. I added garlic topping or something on the delivery app and didn't get that or it was very mild in flavor so that was kind of disappointing because I love garlic. Overall the well done texture is perfect for what I'd want in a crispy pizza however it was just too greasy. I felt like the flavor profile was more grease than anything else. read more

Drove back and forth past this place for eons and finally had the courage to check em out. At first I mistakenly walked into the half of their building containing the bar. Bartender directed me out the door to their next door that housed their pizza kitchen. It's literally just enough space to stand in there. You pay out the corner and go. We get the pie home and everyone loved it. They felt it was high quality with fresh ingredients with a tasty crust. They completely tore it up and we'll definitely be back! read more

Unassuming location on the southwest side of Columbus. Came highly recommended from social media, so we went to try it. Menu is limited to pizza and some sandwiches. Bar counter and booths for seating. The pizza was good. As the picture shows, well done pepperoni placed in abundance (this is just how it came, we didn't ask for double). Thinner crust, sort of reminds me of what Donatos would be like if Donatos was actually good. It's a bit far for me and I don't have much business in the area so not sure I will be back. They really perfected the thin and crispy and next time I eat this I won't order Well done. I was just worried it'd be floppier kinda like Donatos but I don't think that would be the case. The cheese tasted amazing and they're sauce has a fantastic balance sharpness and acidity without overdosing on sugar. The staff were even kind enough to give us 2 extra sauces! Bonus for the cheesy bread too it was great. I had a promotion from Ubereats so the price came out pretty decent, but the in person prices looked pretty decent on the website. The pepperoni pizza is as good as its looks! Garlic cheese bread is some of the best ever. The special salad is also delicious and unique! This place is near the casino and I would call it a hidden gem. I've driven almost an hour twice in two months to have this pizza. It's worth the trip! read more

Decided randomly to go to Emelio's after seeing videos on social media and let me tell you... it was well worth the 30 minute drive. We did have a little difficulty parking as the lot is somewhat small but not a big deal as people were parking to get take out and then leaving. We sat at the bar and had the special salad (large size), which was amazing and a generous portion that fed two adults easily. Seriously so good - and I'm still thinking about it. It's simple and light and the cooked pepperoni added a nice crunch. Then came our pizza..... we decided to just do pepperoni for our first time. It was SO GOOD. I cannot wait to go back and worth the drive for us. Plus our service was great even though the whole place was busy. The subs are meaty and baked the way I like them. The pizza is thin and greasy from all of the cheese! Delicious! Napkin dispenser is on the table! This is a neighborhood bar with a limited menu of pizza, subs, and salad. The TVs have sports playing but it is quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. This place has gotten a lot of hype so finally ventured to the other side of town to try. When I first walked in I was taken aback . Expected a restaurant but this was small and more like a bar with booths. I think there was another room maybe for larger families or groups. Nicely decorated with photos of local sports teams over the years. Service was good. I'm not a fan of thin and crispy but still my mushroom had great flavor with perfect amount of sauce. My 2 companions shared a large pepperoni and sausage. Yay for the pepperoni nay for the sausage. They had half left and asked for a box but it came back stacked and wrapped in foil. I haven't gotten the pizza yet, but not too happy about the ordering process. I waited all morning to order on Toast, but it said online ordering not available. I waited until the store was open and tried again. Still no online ordering. I called to place the order and was told there is no online ordering on Fridays because they are too busy. I was ordering 9 large pizzas for our company lunch. The person who took my order let me know, rudely, that it would be an hour for the order because there was a large order ahead of ours. I said ok. The whole time they tried to talk me out of ordering and then said I didn't need to be rude to them. I never raised my voice once. I was just trying to place the order and was fine with when it would be ready. Not sure what the issue was. The pizza had better be worth the ordering process. read more

Yeah man it's a beauty. If you like thin crispy crust, it's among the best in town. Salad is also really good. Two suggestions: they are so busy that often they won't answer their phone and it goes to voicemail.
