Really good pizza. Highly recommend . Cool old school vibe . Kind of a hole in the wall place but the pizza is worth going for all on it's own read more

Good pizza, waited at the bar... service was kinda slow. Also the pizzas took longer than expected but overall good pizza.

Salad was great .Pizza had a ton of toppings. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a pizza with everything

Huge special salad with fried pepperoni discs and really good Italian dressing. Pizza was a winner, too. Basically a neighborhood bar with good pizza and salad. Friendly service. read more

I contacted Emelio's for catering my son's wedding. I was put in touch with Haifa. I communicated what we were looking for. She responded asking me to pick one of their packages. I told her that I was very busy and preferred she pick the package and quote it accordingly based on the specifications I gave her (chicken plus beef, salad, mashed potatoes and steam's green beans, no dessert, no appetizers, etc. She immediately told me I was being rude (for not telling her the package). I explained again that I would not have time to sort through all their items and pick but wanted her to do it. Then she hung up on me. Candidly...I think it's a blessing to know on the first call that this is the quality of person they have working with customers. I feel blessed to not have wasted any more of my time. read more

Was very good pizza . One all the way ! One pep and cheese . Large salad very tasty. Just a bit pricey but worth it

Old school Italian. The dining area is shared with the bar. They have a banquet area in the back. Good pizza but the star was the salad.

They always have great pizza, never disappointments. Cheesy bread is good, too. We order carry out.

Oh my goodness! I was dogsitting nearby and the dog owners recommended this pizza spot. I placed my order for pickup and missed the building in the dark. Eventually found a spot to park. Very quick transaction to pay and pickup. The door was open to let out some oven heat. Staff was friendly. At the house I realized how terrific the pizza is. It's got a thin, cracker-type crust and holds up well underneath the toppings. I got a medium pepperoni and sausage. It still stated good the next day. Passed by the building in the daytime and it looked completely different. read more

I booked this caterer for my daughter's baby shower. It was on 4/19. I am out of state so could not sample the food beforehand. I ordered a cannoli and cookie tray for 25 people and received a 4x7 in tray of bonbons. I also ordered a cheese and fruit tray for $130 and I'll just received fruit. I was told ice was not included in my non-alcoholic drink station and the tortellini was so overcooked it was mush. You could do better cooking for yourself in a microwave. Please do not use this caterer not only was the service horrible but their response was just as dreadful. If I could give them less than once that I would order yourself a deli tray from your local supermarket and it will be so much better. read more

Continuing my pizza kick, Emelio's. Your classic Columbus style. Nice crunchy crust, gooey tasty cheese, pepperoni with a plenty of flavor and a little kick. What sets this apart is the sauce. There isn't a bunch, but it has some more zest to it compared to Tommy's. I'd go so far as to say it's much better than Tommy's, but I'm a big fan of both. Overall, I'd give the edge to Emelio's. This pizza did not make it to the morning. No I didn't share it with anyone. Yes, I realize that's probably not healthy. Try it and you'll understand. read more

Let's get right to it. I ordered the special salad which is a nice size portion for 2 people. Salad reminds me of Olive Garden's salad but not quite. It was missing the crunch but was served with 2 saltine crackers. It was okay . The pizza was much better than I expected. Ordered a medium cheese with pepp, onion, and banana peppers. The crust was thin, and a lot crunchier than I would like but the pizza was still good. Our waitress was amazing. She remembered our orders ( 6 total) with no paper or pen. She was really polite and made sure we had everything we needed. Since this place is so close i will definitely be adding to my pizza spots. read more

Ordered Pizza and Special Salad for my Birthday Lunch here at work, it was a short wait and pizza was still warm when it got here, the pepperoni is crisp and flavorful, the toppings were abundant and it tasted so good, I will jump on the band wagon and say that you have to try the Special Salad, OMG! It seems simple but so different and tasty! Definetly recommend this place! read more

A+ for their response to COVID19. They offered prompt telephone service, and there was only allowed one customer in the building at a time. You go in and pay and then wait in your car for someone to bring your food out to you. C- for the food. Their pizza crust was thin. The pepperoni's were spicy to the point of being inedible. Overall it does not make for a good reheat and eat the next day pizza. After two bites of leftovers I ended up throwing the rest of my meal away. read more

Astonishingly good pizza. Crispy crust, fresh toppings, served piping hot. Great, friendly, responsive staff who add to the homey ambiance. Best pizza I've had in Columbus. read more

Emelio's is in our top 3 pizza places in Columbia. Thin crunchy crust, a slightly sweet sauce, delicious cheese and great toppings. The Special Salad is delicious too. If there's only two of you just order the regular size and split it because it's huge. The people there are very friendly too. read more

Saw a lot of good reviews on this place and decided to check it out. Ordered a half pepperoni/mushroom and mushroom/cheese. Also ordered the garlic/cheese bread. They have it set up for one person at a time in the building. Pizza had a slightly spicy sauce on it with a ton of cheese. The pizza had old world pepperoni that was nice and spicy. Garlic cheese bread also very cheesy but a little burnt around the edge. Staff was very friendly and brought the pizza out to my car. Place was super busy at the time. Will return just to check it out in some normal times. read more

Pizza wasn't too bad. It was kind of cold and crust was very cracker like. Not much sauce, I would order again but not my favorite pizza place read more

Having heard good things about the pizza I was finally able to give it a try. I live the nonchain local establishments and this did not disappoint! Upon arriving the small parking lot was overfilled though i was still able to find a spot. The first door we tried was the takeout side - nice to have it separate so it doesn't over crowd the small dine in area. The dine in side has a small amount of seating along the wall and a large bar with stools. The menu is only pizza, subs, and house salad which means to me the pizza will be great - and it was. The thin crust was perfect, not too thin. The sauce had a great flavor and there was no skimping on the toppings. The salad was also great. It was a lot atmosphere and friendly service. Soda was served by the can though it didn't make a difference to me. I'll definitely go back or at least order pizza to go. It's a place I will recommend!! read more

Based on pictures, the pizza looked worth a try, so I got a 10" Cheese + Three: sausage, mushroom and onion. They are currently remodeling inside, so no dine-in right now. My pizza came hot outta the oven, - the box was heated as we took our pizzas back home. Their pizza isn't as thin a crust as, say, Donatos, but definitely thinner than Pizza Hut - really good, imo. The sauce isn't tangy, more on the sweeter side, but not necessarily "sweet"; just really damn good. The ratio of toppings to crust was fluffin perfect, nothing was skimped on. I'm super glad my sister recommend this place, as I'll definitely remember this place when I'm on the west side. read more

Emelio's - 10" Sausage, Mushroom and Onion!! (5/22/2021) - Pizza Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

Best salad and pizza on the west side of Columbus. Family owned for years and the service is excellent.

A large Emelio's pie with pepperoni, sausage, onions & banana peppers is, for me, the best overall pizza in Columbus. You can really tell this place has been around forever, constantly refining their craft. Care and attention to detail reveals itself all over the pie -- the sausage finely ground, the onions ultra-thin sliced to blend perfectly with the rest of the flavors, the pepperonis nicely crisped It's also only like $3 more than a pizza from the billion godawful chain pizza places in the area read more

Everything is absolutely delicious, especially the subs & salads! I usually order delivery.

There pizza is Awesome! It's like Old school pizza it's Ohio style they use old world pepperoni, Sausage is delicious, make there own crust every thing taste delicious that comes on there pizza . They always cook it well enough which I find can be a issue at a lot of places. It's a small place with a small bar attached so you can go in and have a beer or a cocktail with your pizza if you want or there's seating on the other side if you don't want to sit in bar area. Service is always good . There special salad is a perfect name it's the best Italian salad in town comes with old school pepperoni, shaved provolone cheese house made dressing is delicious! Pizza is as good as anybody's in town! read more

Westsiders have hyped this establishment for as long as I can remember. I've found in my lifetime the more anything is hyped, the bigger chance of disappointmet abounds. Pizza is good. 3 star. The chef salad is where it's at. Plenty of toppings with either crispy fried or baked pepperonis. First time I've seen that on a salad, and I love it! read more

Okay, let me start by saying I am a pizza snob! I grew up working in a pizza shop throughout high school and part of college. The family that owned it helped raise me so I was in that shop every day for probably four years and developed my snobbiness about pizza. Therefore, I like to think I know a little bit about pizza expecially I know what I like and what I don't and I know the difference. I moved into the Westgate neighborhood New Year's Eve and there have been two other pizza shops that I've tried because people in the neighborhood have talked about them. Emilio's was the one I hadn't yet tried. So it was time that I try this new to me pizza place. Emelio's is more than a pizza shop it is absolutely Heaven on the pizza Earth! I looked them up online first and then called and asked if they would deliver oh, yes they do deliver to my neighborhood. He said it would be an hour and a quarter or an hour and a half I said that's fine. I ordered my medium double cheese, pepperoni and onion as I have at the other two. I had read comments that they had what was called 'special salad' with homemade house dressing so I ordered a quart. Let's start with the special salad! Oh my gosh here's my version of what I think I inhaled. I believe it was iceberg lettuce which I dearly loved and then some typical salad toppings but their pepperoni in it was already cooked oh my gosh. The house dressing is more than just vinegar and oil because it has pepper in it and something else... oh my gosh you could almost drink it like your morning coffee. I honestly don't know where to begin trying to describe my pizza experience! Do I start telling you about the little pepperonis that give it just enough grease and suck so much flavor and texture? Or, do I tell you about having double cheese and never again do I need to order double cheese like that because they put so much cheese on their pizzas and the pepperoni is on top of the cheese. Their cheese, I would say, is more than just some big block of cheese that they shred it is really really really flavorful. There onions are not diced into little squares they are really sliced and then in thin pieces more than just a diced square. There's not enough words allowed for my review to talk about their crust! There just isn't enough room for me to tell you about their crust. Let's start by saying it's thin but not paper-thin; my son says it has sugar in. I don't know if it does all I know is that the crust is well worth eating the next morning as cold pizza. SAUCE SAUCE SAUCE....as a poor kid before getting a job we used Chef Boy-R-Dee with sauce in the can and I'd take a spoon and eat sauce before slathering the crust. That's what I want to do with a vat of their sauce. Flavorful, bright, thick and plenty on the pizza. SAUCE SAUCE SAUCE I am not sure how long emelio's has been on Georgesville road just South of Sullivant. I do believe that it is a one-owner one-family Endeavor all of these decades though. I now know that the other two pizza shops in my neighborhood I will say that they were good but nothing compares to what I had from Emilio's! Nothing Compares! Nothing Compares! read more

First two pizzas here were excellent The crust is not the best but I like the way all the toppings except for the pepperoni was chopped fine. That way the onions and green peppers get a chance to cook and not come out crunchy and raw like most places Today I Got two pizzas and everything was in big chunks. Green peppers and onions basically raw Might as well go to Donatos or pizza cottage it's the same pizza only a lot cheaper Emilio's wants 22 bucks for a 14 inch pizza read more

Emelio's is on the west side and quite a drive for us but the pizza is so good and reasonably priced we have to have it. They have pizza, subs and salad. I hear the salads are fabulous but we have not yet gotten one because we want pizza. Some day that will change. Pizza and salad. Yummy. There is inside seating and a parking lot. They also are well known for their catering business. read more

Food was mediocre, my wedding planners ended up having to clear most of the glassware, desert plates, silverware and chargers which delayed the cleanup of the venue. The cake cutting was awful looking. When I reached out to the owner Annette DiSabiato to see what happened, she was rude and argumentative. She blamed the teenagers I hired for cleanup, my wedding planners and anyone else she could blame but her team. With the tip ( which I should not have given) it was 10,000 for 130 ppl for pasta and charcuterie. The contract clearly stated bussing throughout. I was distracted with my daughters wedding and did not notice they had not done what they were contractually obligated to do and I ended up having to help clean up instead of joining my family for the after party. Extremely unprofessional. Look elsewhere for your party needs. read more

First of all, Emelio's is a wonderful bar/pizza shop. The small bar/dining room is old-style and comforting. The service - Renee and the rest of the staff - are incredibly personal, friendly, and accommodating. The star of the show is pizza - great crust and toppings. The Works is an incredible pizza and is reported to be their most popular. The Italian sausage is a shredded-style pork with good flavor that is not overwhelming. We frequently do carry-out, but as usual there is no substitute for a pizza fresh out of the oven. And, don't miss their Special Salad with fried pepperoni and sliced provolone (the small is big enough for sharing for two). read more

Emelio's Pizza is very legit on so many levels. You pick up your pizza and it smells like pizza should, it looks like pizza should, and most importantly it tastes like pizza should.
