Raspberry yuzu soda and strawberry matcha

Great vibes, cozy atmosphere to study or to just talk and vibe with friends. They took over the old oasis building so there's an upstairs seating area as well with long tables and lots of comfy couches. I ordered the sweet potato fries which were yummy with the aioli. Strawberry matcha was ok, wish it had stronger matcha flavor. But raspberry yuzu soda was good. Definitely will be back to try their cocktails and cocktails and desserts!!!

Grean Matcha transformed at 2pm into Elixir Dessert & Cocktails. Both businesses are located in the former Oasis Tea Zone site. Lois Ko of Sweet Alchemy has added these new indie spots in Seattle's University District. It is located across Tea Republik and adjacent to Ancient Gate Coffee on The Ave - University Way. It sure had an upbeat vibe during my one hour visit during their soft opening stage (1/23/26). Lively music, variety of seating and furnishings, healthy foliage, lots of natural light and eye catching fixtures. There's also an upper level for more seating. I was craving a cortado or mocha, but no espresso machine. I ended with a a small French press coffee w/ cream and sugar. There's also tea, cocktails, and other NA beverages. I was also brought water and a glass with some ice. Since there was no charcuterie plate available during this visit, I opted with a kimchi mac & cheese. So many indie cafes and milk tea spots concentrated on The Ave. Recent new businesses offer variety and upgraded third spaces for the UW college crowd. One less collective star for crumbs scattered all over the mini tables around me, not very assertive coffee, recommend sugar packets to reduce waste, and warmer entree (both thermally and amp up the kimchi flavor profile). I did tidy up where I sat, and thankful that I managed to place items into the bus tubs without incident. Nice addition to the constant evolution of The Ave!

Pho sliders and sweet potato fries

Very cool new spot on the Ave! I was amazed by how spacious this was! Lot's of space to sit and study or work or just meet up with friends. There's an upstairs and downstairs area. I like the long table in the center in the downstairs area. Sliders were my favorite and I was excited to have the makgeolli from Rain City. They were quick and friendly with their service. I do wish it was a bit less loud with the music. This may change over time though, I'm guessing. I really it's a very cool chill space for the evening!

Been wanting to come here for the longest ! We went during Sakura season ! Everything on the menu sounded incredible unfortunately we weren't in the mood for food but instead we got matcha ! The jasmine tea was good I feel like it could be a little sweeter but overall it was really refreshing and it was new ! The strawberry matcha was good . For some reason we tasted more milk than matcha. Overall it's a really beautiful place and you should definitely check out their cocktails and desserts !

olive oil cake / earl grey matcha lavender short bread treat

The space is huge great for studying, book club, grabbing coffee with a friend. I got the olive oil cake it was amazing... but don't get the earl grey matcha shortbread lavender treat. The name has all the right things but the taste was just so underwhelming and honestly gross (it has cucumber drizzle on it??) Just not yummy. Service was great and super quick. I want to go back to try the kimchi mac & cheese.

Gave it a 2nd chance again, but it failed. Ordered a couple of meals to go about 4 months ago and I had to throw mine out. My husband ate part of his and threw the rest out. Last night we gave it one more go. Ordered 2 burgers to go. Asked for no onions or sauce. Got home and found they had onions and sauce on them of course. Took a few bites and threw both burgers out. And it cost us $77. $10 was a tip. We do try to support, but we just can't support them anymore. Sorry.

There's also a pleasant patio that will see use in the summer but not on this chilly February night. The bar offered a collection of micro pub brews with the classics such as Pliny the Elder IPA and local finds. (See pic attached) The menu is elevated pub grub and pizzas while staying away from the more pretentious "gastropub" offerings. We split a Green Goddess salad and a burger with a side of delicious fries. I had the Stoup Cerevezita while my partner ordered a Margarita. Service was friendly and so were the other patrons. We chose to hang around to watch Olympic Curling after finishing our meaI while enjoying the neighborhood vibe. Every neighborhood should have a joint like this though not all are so lucky.

All the drinks were ordered were quick and tasty. For those that cannot drink beer, they do have Twisted Tea on tap which is somewhat carbonated which is fun, unique and refreshing. Went on a weeknight, and saw that they had Blanton's. May be the cheapest price for a pour of it in town. Since it was only a few bucks more than a standard bourbon and coke, asked for a Blanton's and coke, which got some laughter, good played heckling and jokes from the bartenders. (obviously I corrected myself and did not get it with coke). Pool tables look nice and in good condition. Lines for a table were pretty long, but there was a group for a birthday party there squatting on one of the tables all night. The cook in the back seemed a bit gruff and muttered something at my wife when he was trying to book it back to the kitchen in a crowded bar. Seemed unnecessary, but still, overall the staff was great. Would go back!

It just needs a jukebox and for smoking to be allowed. Beers are cheap, especially the large bierstein drafts you can get for like 8 bucks, where as a pint anywhere else would cost you the Same. Food is also pretty inexpensive. Even in my last visit they lump my tab with my friend but a pint, ginger ale (my friend skipped beer this visit) and an order of chicken tenders was like $17, I was surprised. The outdoor patio is nice and there is a fair amount of seating inside. Some of the downsides are the staff can be hit and miss and there is only one register so lines for drinks can get long, fast. If you see the line short, jump then if you can. Besides that Lenys is like my favorite dive bar - cheap drinks and food, sports and good atmosphere.

Took almost an hour to get seated, but we were able to grab some drinks from the coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel, which was a nice option. Once we got upstairs it was gorgeous! Lots of great seating options both inside and out. The views of downtown Seattle and Bellevue were EPIC. The staff were very friendly as well! I have to say, for the price the food and drinks weren't at the level I expected. We ordered nachos, crab Rangoon dip, and pretzel bites. The nachos were probably our favorite, but they weren't anything special for $22. The Rangoon dip was mostly cream cheese and barely had any flavor. I think they were depending on the nori chips to bridge the gap, but those didn't taste the greatest. Finally the pretzel bites were okay, but nothing I couldn't get at another gastropub for a much lower price. The drinks were fine, but not that strong. I ordered the Glacier Peak which was beautiful and refreshing. We'll be back for the views and maybe a couple of cocktails, but I'd say if you're bar hopping, spend money on food somewhere else in the area.
