I have gone to elite several times and enjoyed my experience. My last visit was awful. The person doing my manicure used dirty instruments which has left me with an infection on both of my pinky fingers. The infection developed the day after my nails had got done. Very disappointed and will not be returning! Update: infection has still been developing for over a month now after being placed on 2 different antibiotics. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Stopped in at 415. As I'm standing there the phone rings. She decides to address the caller before me and tells them they can come at 5pm. As I'm checking in ( the shop has no customers waiting) she tells me I'll have to waiting until 630 to get serviced. She said it like it was a question knowing I wouldn't sit there for 2 1/2 hours in a empty shop to get my nails done. I never pull the race card but that's the only thing I'm guessing. read more

Beware: this salon charges you $6 to remove your existing dip (and I presume gel) polish before your new dip or gel application service. I can understand if removal is the only service you are requesting, but not when you are paying for new application. I've never had this experience at any other salon. It is not advertised, it appears as an item on your receipt. Dip powder $50 Removal $6 So with tax and tip = $70. My nails are sharp on the edges, not rounded. Color is meh. I regret popping into this salon when I was passing by in Worthington. I'll go back to my regular salon where they will remove this dip at no extra charge, and apply new dip for $48. Horrible experience. Very uncomfortable, she didn't clean my nails in between so it felt uncomfortable entire time and she was extremely slow. I asked for almond shape nails and she looked totally confused (how do you do nails and not know the shapes?). A coworker said something and I ended up with jaggedly edged and all different shaped nails. I felt bad to say anything because she was an older woman and so nice but she did a terrible job. Saturday's a pretty much always booked solid. The quality is outstanding! These guys know what they're doing and they do it fast. Sure they may speak to each other in their native language, and you might sometimes feel like they are talking about you, but you have nothing to worry about. Admire the beautiful buff and cuticle work. Then dream about how perfectly the OPI you selected will match you dress tonight. The prices are competitive (for this market, too bad we can't hop over to NYC every weekend for their $10 mani's). A basic manicure is $15, and mini pedicure is $35. I showed a picture of the shape and the girl doing mine did something completely horrible then the manager said I was being annoying. He asked me to stay longer to take it off but I could not sit there for another second. If I am going to pay $65 for something that lasts two weeks, you sure can manage to want to fix something or give someone a good experience. Everyone was super friendly and informative. I was very happy with my Acrylic Nails! She did a great job and really took her time perfecting them. They have never looked better! However, I was charged $5 extra because my nails were "long" and I was told if I wanted them longer it would be $10 more. This is disappointing considering One, they aren't even long, they are just a bit longer than as short as they can make them. So basically, I was charged $5 to get them anything but as short as they can make them. Two, this was mentioned NOWHERE on their website, or price list in the salon. I was told this as she was about to cut my nails. I am wondering if they charge this EVERY TIME I get a balance, or just when I am getting a new set put on? Can anyone help? I was here last week and I was not impressed. First of all, if I'm going to pay $72 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure, I'd expect to sit in an actual pedicure chair. What's what you say? You would too? Well, think again. At Elite Nails, the pedicure chairs in the back are used for employees to lounge in when they don't have a customer. You, the customer, get to sit in a desk chair with your feet soaking in a portable pedicure bath (Yes, the kind that you could do yourself at home. But I digress...). As far as the gel manicure, it turned out pretty well. But fast forward one week later, and my nails are completely peeling off. Normally, my gel manicure will last for 3 weeks before I experience any sort of peeling. Long story short, I'm not coming back here. For $72, I would rather go to an actual salon and listen to something other than people shouting across the room and The Ryan Seacrest Show blasting on the radio while I sit in a desk chair soaking my feet in an over-priced, glorified bucket. I'm in and out in 30 minutes and pay less than $30 each time. I would never get a pedicure here as there are no chairs and it looks extremely uncomfortable to sit in the manicure chairs with your feet in a bucket. Elite Nails is awesome - they have great prices, they do a meticulous job on nails (incredibly careful and perfectionist), and above all they are all friendly and nice! Every single technician is great, but I especially love Carolyn and the owner (I do not know her name but she is the first desk on the right when you walk in). I always book an appointment but they do take walk-ins too. The shellac manicures I get usually last ~3 weeks and if you just do a color change & soak-off it costs less than $30 (excluding tip). I can't say enough good things about this place - they are my favorite nail salon I've been to and I will be a devoted customer for years to come. read more

My technician was very friendly and efficient, spoke more English than is normal for the places around, but my pedicure did not last a day! I was given a gift certificate for a pedicure so was trying to go in without high expectations but I read in some reviews that they do not use the massage chairs which was pretty upsetting. I wasn't asked if I wanted to upgrade as I guess you have to do for the massage chairs. Maybe I should have spoken up but the bowl and chair was already set up for me so I didn't. Everything about my technician was great- nice quick massage and she did a great job with painting but it started to chip later that day. Less than 4 days later as I'm enjoying the beach in Mexico there were so many chipped spots that I had to have them redone at the resort salon! Sorry to say I won't be returning. read more

I got a mani on natural nails as a walk-in on a Tuesday afternoon. Pros: They fit me in right away and the price was right ($16 mani.) The mani lasted about a week before starting to chip, which wasn't as long as I had hoped for, but wasn't that big of a deal. It looked great, cleaned up my cuticles well, and shaped my nails nicely. Cons: The mani station I was sitting at was filthy...nail clippings, dusty...it sort of grossed me out and my standards for a $16 are pretty low. The polishes looked a little old/nearing empty, too. They are maybe somewhere in their ancestry from Asia but they definitely spoke English as well as I do. The two I spoke with probably grew up in Ohio. To tell you the truth, I think I would have preferred a little "native language"...would have made me feel back at home in SoCal. I only gave it 4 stars 'cause I did feel it was a little pricey. $40 for a pedicure and I wasn't even in a spa chair. And I had to find the nail dryer myself and turn it on myself.
