I don't understand how nail salons get away with being so dirty! No oversight? This is the dirtiest salon I've been to in quite some time.

I have been for Pedicures here several times. very clean and professional great massages and perfect polishes! yesterday I decided to book full set- and Judy gave me Gel x ! The woman doing my wife's manicure cut multiple of my wife's fingers with a nail file and then said she had "sensitive skin" when my wife objected. On top of that, she messed up the thumb nails (they are nowhere near the same shape or length) but my wife did not want her to work on them more because of the multiple cuts. I went back to ask for a refund so that she could go somewhere else and get it fixed and was told that no refund will be issued unless we showed her the finger was bleeding. My wife will never go back and I encourage no one else to go there either. It's absolutely absurd. read more

I've gone to this salon many times and have had a positive experience. Yesterday was a totally different story. I asked for a simple gel extension with squared nail tips... I mentioned that the nails did not look straight. The guy doing my nails didn't really believe me, ask me, or communicate with me about it at all. Go somewhere else. I wanted to like these nails and .. I tried and was polite yesterday when they were done but the more I look at them it's super upsetting that I paid $75 for something so bad. I saw Phada and I felt like she rushed the entire things, I was there for less than 45 mins, she did not take her time and I didn't receive a manicure, just the dip process. She clearly didn't try to make sure the red didn't bleed into the clear part of the nail, so now it's pink where it should be clear. I called today to ask them to redo the three middle nails just to all red and the women on the phone was so unhelpful, tried to justify why they look awful and the customer service was just awful. Pretty average as far as nail salons go. Your experience really depends on which nail tech you have. The lady I had today preferred to manipulate my feet rather than ask me to move, which was kind of awkward. I called ahead and made a reservation for two pedicures. The salon was pretty empty when we arrived and we were seated in the pedicure chairs as soon as we picked out our colors. We both opted for the basic pedicure which still included a scrub, hot towel wipe down, mini massage and lotion in addition to nail clipping and shaping. They do have a parking lot, but the building is shared with a daycare so I would advise that you do not schedule your appointment during drop off and pick up hours. They are not offering 10% off until New Years despite the promotion offered on their Yelp page. Overall Im satisfied and I would go back. read more

Terrible customer service. In November of 2023 I bought 2 gift cards for my daughters for Christmas, the manager, Elle, msaid she would keep the cards at the salon. When my girls went to use the cards on7-14-24, they were told Elle no longer worked at the salon and they had no record of the gift cards. I had to send them photos of the receipts to show proof because they didnt believe me or my daughters, they wanted me to pay again. The manager I spoke to on the phone was very rude. Jenny was fantastic! I had only planned to do gel nails but she spoke up and suggested dip nails when she saw how long my natural nails were. Used to go here all the time, but a few of the techs I would see have left. The past two times I went my nails looked awful (I had the same guy each time). Uneven polish, spots/bumps on my nails from not getting the previous gel off all the way, uneven tips that they didn't file down. Not even a week. Nails are chipped. The polish wasn't close enough so my grow out looks like two weeks. Polish didn't cover sides of my nails. The second coat doesn't cover in some places. He was taking so long and seemed to be concentrating so hard on the polish I didn't think I'd need to check every nail he did. I got to my car and was absolutely shocked. I didn't have time to come back in and had holiday family stuff all week. For what I paid, I'm so disappointed. I used to come here all the time when I lived in grandview but the last two times have been drastically different than the service i used to receive. My nails broke like crazy last time I came in, she cut the sides of my nails off for no reason and buffed my nails until they hurt. I called to see if they could take me for a dip manicure in 20 minutes and was told yes. I sat and waited for over an hour and they finally took me as most of the other associate were starting to close up the place. My nails weren't soaked in the beginning, my cuticles bled and then scabbed up afterwards from the electric nail buffing tool, no lotion massage at the end, and after I left, noticed excess color on my skin around the nails. I was also charged $48 rather than the $40 that is listed. Instead of rush through and do a sloppy job, I would have rather been told that they couldn't take me. I never get my nails done but decided to try this place for a pedicure. I had an appt. made for 5:30 pm. I sat in the chair with my feet in the water for 20 minutes until someone finally came over and began. What was the point of making an appointment? I felt like she rushed through the pedicure and I noticed while my nails were drying that one toe was flawed. She also kept urging me to pay while I waited. I quickly handled her my card and she returned. SHE STOOD OVER ME WHILE I FILLED OUT THE TIP/TOTAL AND SIGNED MY RECEIPT. I feel embarrassed to say I spent $61 on something that looks like I could've done myself. I have been going to La Vie Nail Spa for about 6. months. I adore Quy who does an amazing job on my nails! In fact, he is the only one in that salon that I will request to do my nails. Yesterday, he gave an equally amazing pedicure, however I noticed that the new polish he used on my toes, a lighter pink, than usual looked actually grayish. I couldn't really tell in the lighting of the salon until I was closer to the actual outside lighting. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, one of the female nail technicians began "screaming" at me. Telling me that I was never satisfied and that Quy was the only one that could put up with me, and that I should never come back. In actuality, all was most likely needed was another coat of the lighter pink of polish or yes, a different color, not a grayish pink. Her reaction started a scene in the salon. I paid my tab of $102.00 and gave Quy a $20 tip. However, the reaction I received was beyond inappropriate, and attacking. Not the best in customer service. Don't worry, I will not return. read more

Overall: my nails didn't last 2 weeks, the shape and lengths did not all match and the nail art I requested was streaky. Would not recommend. I have been getting acrylic nails on and off for the past 6 years from different salons; I'm not very picky I just want my set to last at least 3 weeks. I had high hopes when I booked my appointment as the website seemed very well put together and allowed me to tell that I wanted nail art as well as a special shape (stiletto/almond). Upon getting to the salon my expectations started dropping. It was very clean but the staff was not friendly, no one was in charge of the desk/phone and everyone seemed a little frantic. My appointment was at 3 pm. I arrived 15 min early but did not start getting my nails done until 3:15. When the nail tech finally came to wear I was sitting he was eating a snack and had an energy drink in his hand. I told the tech I have had bad luck with my acrylics lifting at the base of my nail within 2 weeks of getting a fresh set. He said no worries and that normally that occurs when a technician does not properly prep the nail. 11 days later I had my first nail start to lift and now at the 14 day mark 5 out of my 10 nails are lifting. I'm not hard on my hands, I work from home doing data entry and I was on vacation doing absolutely nothing for the first week I had my nails. It was a completely brand new set and my nails were not at all damaged. To add on the nail at I asked for that the tech said would be easy turned out streaky and unfinished. $88 later my nails didn't even last 2 weeks and I wasn't completely satisfied with the way they turned out initially. They were pretty but not worth what I was charged. Will not be going back. read more

The nail tech massaged my left leg and it was fine and had no reaction, then she got up in the middle of my pedi to greet someone at the door and she either touched something or put hand sanitizer on then Came back to exfoliate my right leg. It immediately started burning and breaking out in a rash. She was very unapologetic and tried to blame me for shaving even though I told her I hadn't shaved that day and that didn't make sense since my other leg was fine. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! My nail tech was fabulous but I unfortunately did not get her mane (my bad). She was really excited to do my nails too, which made it fun. EDIT 6/20/16 If I could give zero I would. Acrylic is already separating from my natural nail where the balance was done. Raw areas are still tender and had been inflamed. Would not go again. I went here as a last minute decision since my normal salon was booked solid. I read the Yelp reviews and felt confident going in. I was disappointed. Maybe it was my technician. Maybe they were having a bad day. I went for an acrylic balance and gel change. During the balance the technician cut my cuticles several times with his drill and drew blood. Not much, I'm not injured, but he was clumsy. Two cuticles bled a bit, and the edges where my skin meet the nail on my other fingers are raw. In addition, be aware that the prices online are not accurate. It was listed as $25 for a balance with no price for gel instead of regular polish. I was charged $30 (before tax) for the balance and an additional $10 to have gel put on. Ended up being just under $45 with tax. Lastly the quality of the work isn't awful. The polish is smooth and the shape of the nail is good. But it wasn't great. I've gone other places and had better service/better results for a lower price. Basically, I'm not upset. But I would not recommend. Nor would I return. I'll just wait for my normal place to have an opening next time instead of looking around. read more

This is not the first time I've left here very unhappy. Today, I arrived for my 3:00 appointment for gel pedi and dip mani. I am told to pick my color, which I do. I pick a dip nail color and tell the girl I want gel to "match" or come close. She picks the gel color that matches the sample nail color perfectly. We do the pedi while my nails "soak off". The problem arises when we do the dip color. It is NOWHERE NEAR the color on the sample. I had also picked a glittery color for an accent nail - again, on the sample they match perfectly. On my nail the glitter color is more orange/coral (as it appeared) but completely clashes with the other color. The girl doing my nails got upset when I pointed out that the two looked awful together. Because of the time I've already spent there, I tell her to just do a plain silver sparkle on that nail. She was clearly upset with me, as she roughly filed off the coral glitter. At the end of my 2.5 hour, $120 visit, I have the following 1) fingernails that do not even come close to what I thought I was getting. 2) fingernails that DO NOT match my toes 3) 3 different shapes on my fingers (some oval, some almond, a few square w/ round edges) In the pictures attached, you'll see 1) my finished nail next to the "sample" that I chose (you can see they are NOTHING alike) 2) how far off my toes are from my fingers - definitely do not match 3) the gel color on my toes does match the sample color. Unfortunately the sample color is not what actually appears on your nails. My suggestion would be, IF you decide to go here, get your nails done FIRST and then try to match your toes ... you never know what color you're actually going to end up with. I usually don't do reviews as often s I should but this is my first time here at this nail salon. From previous reviews it recommends that you schedule a appointment because they honor them. My appointment was scheduled for 12 noon and was not acknowledged or seated until 1230. Andy was my nail tech. He was nice and gave good conversation. Iam very familiar of sns/ dipping as I have been getting them done for over two years from Phoenix. Sns has just been introduced here in Ohio in the last couple of months. As he was doing my nails we did small talk and I asked him about cuticle care he stated it is done at the end. My appointment was scheduled for sns and pedi. In the middle of nail service he switch me over for pedi. I not a big fan of having my nails done while a pedicure because you just don't enjoy it as much to me being interrupted while they finish your nails. As soon as I got up I'm assuming another appointment came but he wasn't finished with me. As I received my pedi Mindy was my tech and she did AMAZING. No complaints at all. Above and beyond. Love her! Judy came over a few times to finish my nails and I asked her about the cuticle care. She buffed and did top coat but again no cuticle care. She never came back said nothing. I finished up my pedi and tried to enjoy the service. Once done I mentioned to Andy about the cuticle and he made it seem like I just bring it up and at the last minute he stated it's extra for a manicure. Remind you I've been here since 12 and it just past 2. I was upset because no one stated it was extra. Granted each place does sns different but if he would or even Judy mention it as extra way before I would have considered. I felt the service was great from Mindy for my pedicure but my nail service I felt incomplete. I'm new to this nail salon. Not sure if O'Neill come back for my SNS but I will come back only for Mindy for my pedicure. I felt rushed with the sns. Unfortunately after flying from Dallas to Columbus, I stopped into this place and they could not accommodate me. Typically I make appointments but each time I visit from Dallas, they seem confused when I make an appointment, and say I simply should walk in. I have made appointments anyway and still had to wait a while to be serviced. But this time I decided to just walk in. I drive over 25 mins to get there, and had a friend drop me off. They literally looked at me like how dare I stop in without an appointment. I was sooo disappointed in them and will NEVER come back. I stood there mortified and angry and had to call my ride back to pick me up. I know I am one person and my money does not matter to them.
