She quoted me a reasonable price and I was happy to leave the gown to be cleaned. When I picked up the gown I inspected it and it was just as beautiful as it was before with no problems at all. I'm pretty bad when it comes to dry clean only clothes, but I had a pair of professional trousers that absolutely needed to be dry cleaned. I decided that I would give Elite Cleaners a shot, mostly due to the convenience of its location. I dropped the trousers off on Friday at around 4pm. The lady working gave me a ticket and said they would be ready on Monday after 4pm. I pulled up outside on Monday collected the trousers, paid $5 and was on my way. They came back as expected, same condition I dropped them off in, except lovely and clean and neatly pressed. The prices here can't be argued with. The service was friendly and quick. The location is easily accessible with a little Parking lot out front, or street parking right on Fair Oaks. I think I found my new dry cleaners. read more

I can't say I generally put too much thought into where I bring my dry cleaning, but I will definitely not be bringing it back hear! A few days back I picked up my dry cleaning from Elite, and hung it in my closet bag and all. This morning I pulled out one of my favorite shirts from the bag, only to discover it had three large holes in it. They had been haphazardly stitched together and backed with some sort of stiff fabric patch. Yes it irks me that they shredded my shirt, but honestly my real issue is that they didn't tell me. Rather they just sandwiched it in between my other items in the hopes I wouldn't notice?? Even more upsetting is the fact that they still charged me for dry cleaning this item!?! They clearly knew they wrecked the shirt or they wouldn't have tried to cobble it back together. Bad business ethics. read more

I spend more on dry cleaning in a month than I do on gas because I am terrible at ironing, and I have tried out three other dry cleaners in the South Pas and Alhambra area but they didn't really do a good job (one place even tore a really nice dress shirt) or they took a really long time. I think Elite Cleaners lives up to its name because: -they do a great job on our shirts and pants. our stuff looks crisp and undamaged. -they are super fast, usually 2 or 3 days tops -they open early and close late -they use an environmentally safe cleaning solution (I forget the brand but it's one of the major ones) -the owner is super sweet and friendly The one quirky thing about this place is that they give you an itemized receipt when you drop off your stuff, but it doesn't have your total on it. At all the other dry cleaners I have used in LA, the prices of each garment is printed on the receipt when you drop your stuff off. However, the owner will give you a hard copy of their prices if you ask and there is also a hard copy of the prices taped to the back of the computer monitor. (Prices here are similar to other cleaners in the area). read more

I don't do dry-clean, but I often need tailoring and sewing. Elite offers fair prices for tailoring--the best that I have found in the area. They are also very friendly every time I've stopped in. I recently brought in a curtain panel that I bought from Target and had cut in half to use in two of my small bungalow windows. I just wanted to have the bottom hemmed so it wouldn't unravel. Didn't want to pay much because I only spent $10 on the whole panel. They were very reasonable in charging me only $7 to hem it. I had previously brought it into a tailor on Los Robles in San Marino and the young woman working there wanted to charge me the same price as the other huge living room curtains that were thicker and about 5x as large. I told her I just want a simple half inch hem along the bottom of the curtain (with both panels this was only a four foot long hem), yet she still wanted $14. They also wanted a week to do the hem, whereas Elite had it back in two days. I'll be taking my sewing/tailoring to Elite for now on. read more

My whole family uses this cleaners for alterations, and none of us ever leaves disappointed or needing anything else done following their work. That might not seem like a big deal, but when you are on the short side in regards to height, it can be amazing the difference in quality of clean alterations that don't require further straightening, or detriment to the material (if a delicate pant) We don't have much in the way of dry cleaning, but what we do, we trust Elite Cleaners completely. I came here for alterations. The lady was super nice. I appreciated her having me try on the pants first and explaining the different ways she could tailor it, and which ways would be more expensive. We both thought the less expensive method would work just fine. I was happy w the final estimate (less expensive than another alterations shop I had just been to), and she promised to have it the next day even though I said it was no rush. They are absolutely amazing. Here's something they didn't have to do for me but did..and didnt charge me... I had my evening dress for nye dry cleaned at another cleaner but the dress came back a mess with static everywhere on nye day. This place is super fast with alterations and also very accommodating. I took a bridesmaid dress in for hemming and making it a bit smaller in the breast area. She tried her best and making it as tight in me as possible but it was still loose so she altered it again without any additional charge and it was ready before the wedding. I brought in a tunic top and was charged the cost of a dress, plus additional fees because it was silk and had embroidery. So, for one top, I was charged more than the advertised cost of a two piece suit, 50% more than the advertised cost of a dress, and 3x as much as the advertised cost of a blouse, which is what the item is.
