Which means they have no control over how they wash delicate clothing and the items take a lot longer than expected to be ready for pickup. My brand new shirt is embellished with gold monogram flower hardware around the neckline which I specially said please be very careful and gentle with. It came back and guess what???Careless. The hardware has a string that totally fell off and they somehow have punched a small hole on the bottom of the shirt. Like okay my shirt is totally damaged now. If they couldn't have done the job without damaging my shirt, he could've just denied me as a customer. I would've preferred that over a damaged shirt. Come on, get it together. Never again. Def don't recommend this spot unless you don't care abt your clothing.

As a result, my sweaters shrank to the size of an 8-year-old's, and the fur on my Canada Goose coat got shrank and damaged from the wet and dry process. When I returned the items, they offered to enlarge my sweater back to its original size, but it didn't work, and the coat's fur collar was further damaged. I found out they outsource the cleaning to a third party, which doesn't seem to properly care for the items, with no quality control. For many years of using dry cleaners, this has never happened--no one would ever water-wash cashmere or down coats. I won't be coming back to this store. I don't recommend this store to any family and friends!

Chief Cleaners - May is the best-est human being doing the finest work around! Her prices are fare but her character is what I'm impressed with.

I brought in four pieces of clothing for alteration and dry cleaning on Friday, May 23. One of the items was a brand-new Reformation dress that cost over $200. It only needed a minor alteration to the elastic band on the puff sleeves. When I dropped it off, May assured me that their tailors are among the best and that their work is "immaculate." She promised the dress would be ready by Thursday, May 29, and even wrote that date down on the pick-up receipt. However, when I called on Wednesday (May 28) to check on the status, May said the dress wasn't ready yet but promised it would be done by Thursday (May 29). On Thursday afternoon, just before I planned to pick it up, I called again--only to be told it was still not ready. She brushed off my concerns and acted as if I was being unreasonable for following up. When I asked for a completion date, she said she didn't know and would contact me when it was ready. On Friday morning, I went to the store. Not only was the issue with the sleeve still not fixed, but the stitching that had been done was messy and unprofessional. When I pointed this out calmly, May became defensive and rude, accusing me of "overreacting" and insisting it was "no big deal." I refused to pay the $16 alteration fee for the damaged dress (though I paid in full for the other items). At that point, May began yelling and insulting me. She called me a "very bad person," "the worst customer," and accused me of making things up. She even told me to "shut up" and called me "bullshit." Before I left, she told me to never come back and that they would refuse to serve me in the future. According to her, I was only the second customer ever rejected for service. But after glancing at other reviews, that claim doesn't seem to hold up. Now I'm left with a poorly altered, possibly ruined dress and an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Avoid this place if you expect reliable service, quality work, or basic respect as a customer.

My experience with Concierge Cleaners was awful. I found them to be incompetent, dishonest and…read moreunwilling to reimburse for clothes they ruined. Here is why: Our home was damaged in the Eaton Fire. Our clothes were smoke damaged and had to be professionally cleaned. Our remediation company recommended Concierge Cleaners. In hindsight, I suspect they got a kickback "Shane," (as he calls himself, is apparently the owner of Concierge Cleaners) picked up the hundreds of items to be cleaned. We were unable to live in our house for months, so the transfer of clothes was chaotic. After numerous requests, "Shane" finally gave an estimate which was far less than the amount ($2,533) that they ultimately billed. Among the clothes Concierge took were several expensive coats and suits. We obviously expected them to by dry cleaned. Instead, Concierge threw them in the wash with the underwear and t-shirts. Literally, they were put in a washing machine which ruined the fine wool, then put in a dryer which shrank them. Then they were tightly folded and wrapped with the laundry. The suits and coats were obviously ruined. When we informed "Shane" what happened we assumed he would act professionally and offer to compensate for the damage. When mistakes happen people with integrity take responsibility. But integrity is not "Shane's" strong suit. First he denied ever having the suits and coats. Then he claimed they could be fixed by dry cleaning them. That did not work since the fabric was already ruined and the suits shrunk two sizes. I told "Shane" we would be satisfied if Concierge paid just a fraction of the cost of replacing the suits. We have a lot going on trying to make our house habitable after the fire and don't have time to mess with an incompetent and dishonest dry cleaner. Unfortunately, Shane stopped responding and is now unreachable. So now we have to haul this clown into small claims court to get him to pay for the damage he caused. I have lived in the Pasadena area a long time and know there are good and reputable dry cleaners. Concierge is not one of them. If you want someone who does not know that fine wool suits have to be dry cleaned, lies about what happened to your clothes, and refuses to compensate you when he ruins your best clothes, then you will love "Shane" and Concierge Cleaners.

I decided to give Concierge Cleaners a shot after reading some of the reviews, as well as…read morecontacting other dry cleaning services in the area. First of all, the prices are pretty reasonable, being much lower than some of the other options in the Pasadena / Altadena area. When I called Concierge to inquire about prices, the man on the phone told me Men's Suits were $17 and dress shirts were $5. It sounded like a pretty good deal compared to other cleaners, so I dropped off two suits and two dress shirts on a Tuesday afternoon. The woman at the counter was very friendly and gave me a receipt ticket in which she instructed me to "ignore the date on the ticket" and that I "would receive a text when my items were ready for pickup." A few other women were in the small storefront having alterations done, should you choose to utilize that service offering. Two days later, on Thursday, I received the text that my clothes were ready. I headed over to pick up my clothing and inspected everything. The dress shirts looked fine, pressed and hung neatly. One of my suits had a small white powder stain on the front sleeve, but it came off quickly with a moist towel. The other suit looked great and everything seemed to be fine with the rest of my order. However, the final bill was $49 plus tax ($50.72 all in), which didn't match up precisely with what the gentlemen quoted me over the phone. However, it was close enough so I decided to pay the bill and not make a fuss. Obviously, there is some discrepancy with the pricing, as it wasn't listed online. I could have been a stickler for the extra $5, but I decided not to make a big deal of it as one of the other dry cleaners nearby quoted a price of over $40 for a suit cleaning. Parking is sometimes difficult in the small strip mall, with Fluffy Puppy and Captain Tobacco customers. However, there is a dedicated two spaces directly in front of the store for a quick in-and-out visit to the Concierge. A good option for dry cleaning in the area for a first visit.
