I recently came to this location because I needed some work pants altered. My work no longer offers that service for employees, so forced to do it on my own. I'm local to this place and decided to give it a shot. They we were able to get what i needed done within just a few days. Paid a fair price for what I needed and the owners seemed very nice. No one said anything to me, but apparently you'll need your printed ticket at the time of pickup or else the lady will give you a hard time. I didn't know so she let me go for now. I'd consider returning for future alterations. read more

Came here for some dry cleaning on two white dress long sleeve shirts. I wanted one cleaned and pressed, the other just pressed but was charged the same price for both and came out to $8.50 total. I'm not sure if that's normal for the south Pasadena area but to me that's a bit pricey. I've only paid $3 when living in covina. read more

Buyer beware. :( I dropped 2 wedding lehnghas off for cleaning and they quoted $50 each and 2 weeks. 4 days later, they called to tell me the price was actually $120 each. I reluctantly agreed since I did not have time to go pick the garments back up and find another cleaner. I have been back 2 more times to see if the garments are ready...they are not. Cut to 3 weeks later and she is "promising" they will be ready next week. How can it take 4 weeks for dry cleaning? Now I am afraid I will never get my wedding outfits back. :( They cleaned my husband's wedding outfit too and it came back with a hole in the silk pants. :( Being nice and smiley does not make up for damaging and witholding a customer's property. I've been coming here for for years, but lately, I haven't needed as much dry cleaning due to working from home. Recently, I found myself needing same day service for a surprise trip. I dropped off my shirts and things at about 8am and picked them up about 5pm, SAME DAY! Perfectly folded and bagged, ready for travel. The price was very reasonable, too. Bruh, these reviews are salty. I came into the store today-some lady was giving her slack cause some of her things weren't ready. But if you have an event, don't procrastinate and take it out cleaners. You're on your own timeline. If you need something altered get ahead of it at least a minimum a month. Things have been crazy these days. She does a good job and is really nice. She does good work, and because of it she has a lot of work to do. So be mindful and if it's priority make sure that it's month or two ahead. She does beautiful work, I will continue going to her. read more

I have moved 45 mins. away from this location. However, I still drive to this location for the majority of my cleaning services. Nothing compares to the smell and the cleanliness of their work. I have tried dozens of cleaners near my home but nothing can match Glo-Tone. I finally gave up. Therefore, I make the trip once per mth. or more if needed. read more

I have to say that Glo-Tone is by far the best dry cleaners I have ever used in my life. The owner (a Korean lady) is so friendly. She knows me by face recognition and I don't have to even tell her anything. She knows exactly what to do with my shirts. I swear that this is first class service. My wedding dress got totally trashed because of my outdoor ceremony and because I was getting real down on the dance floor. Her knowledge of materials and her recommendations of the best way to maintain your articles is amazing. I say "articles" because I use her services for more than just dry cleaning. In the past I have had her clean rugs, do laundry, dry cleaning, shoe repair and alterations. I came here to get my wedding dress cleaned and owner was professional and nice. However, I came a second time to get a dress hemmed. She told me it would take a week and a half which I find a long time for a simple hem. However, since I liked her I let it go. I was going to receive the dress 2 days before I needed it for my event. In addition to the hemming going to take a week and a half she would not tell me how much it was going to be when I asked saying she will only know after it is done. Again, I liked her and said okay. Come day of pick up, the dress is not ready and now I am going to have to rush out of my scheduled day to come back and pick it up. If it were one of these things that happened I would be happy to let it go however in a combination of events I will not be returning. read more

This is our go-to laundry spot. It's conveniently located in a plaza with a Winchell's Donut and a Starbucks, so the ol' adage, "kill two birds with one stone" applies here. I have been using this place weekly-to-bi-weekly for the past 6-months and have not had any issues. I do both fluff-and-fold ($1.75 lb) and dry cleaning service, and the prices and service (same day service) are best in town. I don't know the lady's name that works there, but she is very friendly. The only thing that would make this place better is delivery service! But until that time, I will utilize the Starbucks as motivation to complete my laundry errand. read more

Even though I am far away, I still go to them for my favorite items that I want cleaned exactly how I like it! They will reasonably perform tailoring and alterations and small repairs for a pittance. There are other cleaners nearby that may be less expensive, but you get what you pay for. If they cannot clean something, no one else can! parking is a bitch sometimes, but the Glo Tone owners have offered to deliver your stuff to your car if you double park in the back by Carmine's--service like "Shoetorium" on Colorado used to do. read more

I have been going to Glo-Tone cleaners for 13 years and I have always been satisfied with my dry cleaning, laundry, alterations and fluff & fold. All of which they handle on-site! Mrs. Cho, the owner, is kind, conscientious and knowledgeable. My whites remain white and my ivory colored tops and sweaters come back looking as if they are still new, not dingy. This is the result of changing the cleaning solution regularly. My clothes always smell fresh and clean and Mrs. Cho always remembers how I like to have my clothes treated, some pants with creases, others without. She is always attentive to your requests. I also like that there are no coupons to exchange, giving you the impression that you're "saving" money. I experienced a lot of that at Fashion Cleaners and did not like having to have a coupon to get better prices. Prices are consistent at Glo-Tone cleaners and comparable to any well-run and good facility. I moved away from South Pasadena, but I always return every other week to drop off and pick up. That's how good this establishment is and although they do very little marketing, if any, once you try them out, I hope you too can recommend this place. read more

Warning: be prepared for dishonest and fluctuating pricing when it comes to alterations!! I came here to get a dress altered. When I brought it in and tried it on, I was given an estimate of $16-18, but that she couldn't give me an exact estimate until she opened the dress up. *Note: prices are not listed ANYWHERE in the business. That should have been my cue to go somewhere else.* To get an idea of what kind of price range I was working with, I asked, "No problem - as long as it's not more than $25, I'm good!" She assured me it would be no more than $25. When I came back to pick it up, I was charged $35. I was surprised and asked what changed, reminding her that she had said two days earlier that the price would be about $17, and no more than $25. She said I was paying for the quality of the work. I responded that I respect and appreciate the high quality work, but that to charge double the original estimate and give no real explanation for it just felt dishonest. I felt swindled, and I told her so. She shrugged and essentially said, 'then don't come back.' Or something to that effect. Totally rude! Would warn against coming here and avoiding a headache! read more

I picked up a shirt today that was dirtier than when I dropped it off. The female helper said she couldn't dry clean the shirt because the colors would bleed. Ok I get it. However the lady admitted she may have dropped the shirt in back. Dirt stains on my new shirt. Not a great way to keep customers. Ugh. I won't be back. read more

The store looks a little messy, but they work very hard. Ever since my first time, the owner always recognizes and knows my name right away. She must have memorized thousands of names by now.
