I'd rather donate all of it to a good cause than accept that. I loaded everything back into my truck and had Blessingdale's Thrift stores come to my house to take them. I felt great about this decision as I know it's going to people in need. I can't recommend selling anything here.

I brought in a large amount of camping gear to sell including two sleeping bags, inflatable beds,…read morepillows, two large Ozark Trail coolers, Ford Expedition camping chairs, a tent that was used only once, a $170 Blackstone table griddle that had never been used and originally cost $170, a camping toilet that had never been used and other items. Because it was extremely hot outside, I went inside to cool off while hubby handled things with the employee. After he unloaded everything at the back of the store, the employee came over and said "thanks for your trouble" and handed me a $20 bill. I have consigned clothing, designer handbags, and sold books, sporting goods and household items to different businesses so I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit. I also know used items are worth much less than retail, but $20 for that entire load felt incredibly insulting and completely unreasonable given the amount and condition of the gear. It just did not sit right with me. I went back inside and asked for our things back. We loaded everything back into the truck and brought it back home. I decided I would much rather donate it all to a nonprofit where I know the items will actually help someone which will make me feel so good rather than accept $20 for everything. I would have actually preferred getting no offer at all. I'm sure this works for some people but based on my personal experience, cannot recommend selling here expecting a remotely fair offer.

Great little tackle shop in Phoenix with everything you could possibly need for your fishing…read moreadventures. Whether you're fishing freshwater, saltwater or fly, this place has it all. They have all your classic lure and plastics brands, but also a ton of locally-made gear that you can't find anywhere else. Personally, I love Senkos, and they have every color and size under the sun... but there's something for everyone. The service is also fantastic. I bought a rod and reel here a few months back, and frankly, had no idea what I was looking for besides a basic spinner. The owner gave me a few suggestions for my price range and went through the pros and cons of each. No pressure - just good solid information to help me make an educated decision. When I chose one, they were kind enough to spool it up (for free) when I was checking out. When I later had some backlash issues with the new reel, I brought it back in and they re-spooled the reel with a new, lighter line for no charge that has since worked wonders. A lot of tackle shops have pretentious employees that judge just about every purchase you make or bat an eye when you tell them about the murky backyard hole you're going fishing in... not these guys, though! In fact, every employee I've asked for help has been keen on getting me set up perfectly with everything I've needed, and have even shared some great fishing stories too. These guys just love fishing and the people who share their hobby, and it's apparent when you walk in the door. I 100% recommend Phoenix Fishing Supply for all your fishing needs.

A full tutorial on the bikes --- in our case, a couple of like-new electric Aventon Level 3s --- came afterward, so we knew exactly what we were getting onto (and into). The bikes were flawless; nicely equipped (brake lights, hydraulic brakes, plenty of power) comfortable and well built, and our ride down Indian Bend Wash was really good fun, and a great way to see some of the hidden parts of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. The bikes came with helmets and locks too, and the guys even offered us waters. PedalJetz is a compact outfit, but it's well set-up, with modern equipment and qualified techs, and as a bonus, it's situated pretty close to the aforementioned bike trail. And even after I had a question about the billing a few days later, they got right back to me, so, yea. I do wish they had a bigger selection of smaller bikes, and the website's a bit vague on what you can rent, but that's really just a nitpick -- I'd totally recommend them.
