There is always an adventure and new food destination when visiting New York. Upon entering you are greeted and seated very quickly. I loved the vast selection of food choices. I chose the Eldorado burger and it was so delicious and juicy. I tried to walk past the desserts but the cheesecake could not be passed up. The thickness and flavor of it didn't disappoint. I was really craving a breakfast burrito (and I'm always craving pancakes) and this breakfast burrito was very cheese heavy in a way that was just very off balance. It didn't feel like there were any eggs in there at all. The pancakes also didn't have that buttery savory yet sweet flavor that I was craving unfortunately. I did enjoy the waffle fries though. I've been to this diner before haven't particularly enjoyed anything in a major way so I think this is just one of those last resort diners, but at least it's not as bad as the Port Chester Coach Diner and Mamaroneck Diner... read more

Worst experience ever - a fly in a clam chowder soup resulted in insults by the manager on site (Adolfo if I recall correctly) the evening of 8/21/2026. His attitude was one of 'well, deal with it'. I do not write reviews often but this one is for the ages. I do get it. Mistkes happen. But instead of profusely apologizing, and doing anything possible to remedy the unfortunate event, he proceeded to lob insults and threatened to call the police (Frankly, i was too tired, but was a tempting offer, wonder why he did not) when I told him he should be ashamed to even be charging for anything and apologize profusely instead. His behaviour as a manager was unacceptable. He should not even have charged for the 5 soups we had ' consumed' at that stage (we were gagging after seeing the fly). As usual, the reaction and (lack of) customer service is worse than the unfortunate event. Not sure what this says about management if they have such a site manager in place. I have been to this 'establishment' before. NEVER AGAIN. Additionally, place looks run down (leaks indoors, bad ome the moement we walked in). Terrible experience. We spontaneously came here for lunch. It's a pretty standard diner. The kid menu was pretty robust, and the pasta and hot dog with fries did the trick. Our wraps were ok, though all the contents sort of spilled out. More could be done to keep the ingredients inside the wrap. The frappe was ok. Decent diner on the Elmsford/Tarrytown border. I was looking for a quick meal after a really long day and was seated right away. Staff members were nice and accommodating. I spotted a single page in the overwhelming menu filled with too many choices highlighting Mexican tacos. That was exactly what I wanted. Taco choices were beef, pork, chicken and blackened fish. I went with the chicken (though I would have preferred to mix and match-that wasn't an option). Chicken was a little dry and a smidge salty but tasty enough. Green sauce was moderately spicy and the corn tortillas were good. The cilantro and onions were very mild-almost oddly tasteless. Rice and beans were Ok. This place looks and feels legit, and the service is excellent and friendly, but it is PRICEY and the food ain't what it used to be. We returned an egg dish on sight; it was blanketed in some dreadful-looking cheese; no one would touch it. Been coming to this diner irregularly for 15 years. It's always been decent, but today's Fathers Day visit was far from perfect. Diner wasn't busy, but service was indifferent, my order took nearly a 1/2 hour to come out (a sandwich), and when it finally arrived the fries were lukewarm, and the sandwich was meager, so much so, that I called the manager over to complain. $17.99 for a turkey sandwich, and $1.50 extra for 2 slices of tomato, which IMHO should come with the sandwich gratis. The manager put some more turkey on the sandwich, but honestly it was completely MID, tasted like processed turkey, not fresh. I have service dog and this restaurant seated us far away in an empty room. My dog has manners and easily sits under our table. He was not a nuisance. Rushed service and misleading information on the Menu. I was asked 3 times within 5 minutes if I was ready to order (I was not due to some confusion about the menu). I ended up ordering from their Breakfast Menu a Texas Avocado Toast (French Toast with Avocado, Mixed Greens, Chopped Tomato, Olive Oil & Sunny Side Egg) and I was given dry Texas toast with eggs over it and a salad with balsamic dressing of the side. This item was in the Breakfast section of the Menu (next to the pancakes). When I went up to discuss the restaurant's vision for the sandwich, they shut me down. I did not ask for a discount or to have the item removed from my bill, I was just looking for clarification of what this item was actually supposed to look/ taste like. We love a good diner and we're very happy that Eldorado Diner was within walking distance of The Marriott hotel. We got the turkey club and the Eggs Benedict Florentine. Got the coke slaw with a pickle as the side for the Turkey Club. I got the iced coffee to drink and it was perfect! The food was good. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The turkey club was a huge hit with the coleslaw. As others have stated - the potatoes were not hot and not seasoned. Service was great. Came here with a larger group on a Saturday night and very grateful this was 24/7 and across the street from our hotel. Maybe poor planning but we walked along the highway to get here. Service was great - even though we were a polite bunch, managing 12 people is still a large task. The attention to our needs were great and the food was lighting fast. We are in town a couple times a year and we always make it a point to eat at a diner, and Eldorado is one of our favorites. This trip we went for breakfast and had a good experience. Our server, I wish I remembered his name, was friendly and very attentive. He was always checking on us and refilling our water. I went with the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, which comes with Home Fries and also ordered a Bagel. My meal was delicious, exactly what I expected. My BF got an omelette and he said it was great. I felt conflicted about my rating for this diner. Truly, I think it sits somewhere at a 3.5 for overall experience. First off, the food was actually pretty good and was ready in like 5-10 mins. It was kind of unheard of, how quickly the food was ready on a bustling Saturday morning. I think that impressed me the most. We were on a time restraint and I didn't feel like things took a long time at all. That's a big plus. Plus, I was starving. On another note, the diner was a bit outdated and the service kind of fell flat. I've had better service elsewhere. Our server wasn't bad, just not very personable. He popped in and out. But low ratings and all, this El Dorado Diner in Elmsford, has always been in our view- ESPECIALLY for those 4am cravings after dancing House Music. Grilled Cheese is nice. Their Spanakopita is actually nice too. Then again, I can't think of anywhere else in the immediate area that makes a decent one. But their Chocolate Shakes (the last I remember) is what I gravitate to. When we've dined in, all we say to our waiter is, "extra thick and super chocolatey"- and they've delivered. And if we're calling it in, same requests. Haven't been here recently for a chocolate shake- so can't tell you if things have/haven't changed. Look, it's an open-24/7 diner sitting next to a recently demolished office building on the side of a stretch of inconspicuous road. Do you really expect to eat a great medium rare steak here?
