    Chicken and rice to go
    Libby F.

The chicken from here is so tender and flavorful. This was the perfect meal for a hot day when I didn't feel like cooking. The portion was large. I will be back. I'm lucky they are about a mile away instead the former Patty's Place location. (Owner is a relative of Patty.)

Had to leave an updated review for their new coffee drink the Horchata Chuca! This drink is AMAZING! The flavors blend together so well. You get the sweet taste of Horchata perfectly balanced with fresh coffee. What an amazing combination blended together to perfection!!

Oh, I can't believe I didn't leave a review for the spot, even though I've been a few times though!…read moreIt's been a while, but man are they delicious. I would describe them as a combination of classic and elevated Latin food. The vibe of the restaurant is very casual, but the presentation of many of the dishes takes it to another level. They also have a wide selection of beer and wine. I have had tacos, octopus, breakfast tacos, and tamales. Everything was flavorful and quite tasty. I will admit service was a little slow the last time I went, but given the weather and the fact that we weren't in a rush it wasn't a big deal. If you haven't been yet, you should go. The colorful presentation reminds me of Palette 22, and rumor has it they are expanding to the Ethiopian restaurant that closed next door. I hope that's true!

Could work on those fried plantains as they were a little soggy. The quinoa salad was good, a bigger portion would have been nice for the price paid and maybe if it would be easier to eat if served in a bowl. The chorizo sandwich was okay. Presentation and bread could be better. We left curious about their regular menu so we may give it a try some other time. Their staff were nice but not very knowledgeable about their menu items. They didn't really know how to answer my question about their vegan tres leches and told me it was not actually vegan after indicating it had condensed milk and heavy cream.

I am so glad that the other bar I was planning on visiting was closed for a private event, because…read moreI probably would not have stumbled upon this wonderful bar/restaurant. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a "random" building, so it might be a bit difficult to find unless you are in the know. Although there were not many folks during my visit, the restaurant gives off a very strong Colombian flare. I originally stopped by to get a drink, but I ended up trying the caserito, which was sort of a combo meal. This meal included a delicious soup, a beer filet, beans, rice, and a small salad. It was quite the meal for only $14 bucks. I do not remember the name of the bean-based soup, but it was out of this world delicious. For $14 bucks, I thought the portions were quite generous. The service was pretty good. Since the bartender/waitress did not speak much English, dining here gave me the perfect opportunity to practice my Spanish. I definitely hope to return in the near future to try more items off of the menu and maaaaybe sing karaoke.

I finally had a chance to come here. Today, I work up an appetite, so I'm here for a late lunch. I…read morebasically inhale my food. The food was flavorsome. Definitely recommend the chicharrones. Service was on point. My waitress made me feel welcome. She was polite and attentive. The only problem that you may encounter is parking. The restaurant doesn't have parking. You just have to find parking on the side of the street or a small public parking behind the restaurant.

The bartender/host was super nice and gave great food recs and makes a great mojito. The mojito even came with fresh sugarcane which is hard to come by. I have come here several times. My family is from Cuba, and I grew up on home-cooked Cuban food…read more Cubano has been the closest I've found to authentic. Unfortunately, this last time was disappointing. First, they lost their liquor license, so forget the mojitos, daiquiris, or even a beer. The most iconic Cuban meal is "ropa vieja," which we ordered. It is shredded beef, rice, black beans, and "maduros" (fried plantains). Unfortunately, the beef was cooked in way too much canned tomato sauce. It did not taste authentic at all. Still good, but disappointing. The only person working was the bartender, which slowed service. He was nice, and fortunately for us, many people came in and left when they found out they could not order drinks. Otherwise, the service would have been really bad. The music was great as they played all Cuban music, which I love. Overall, I feel like this place may not be around much longer, which is a shame. The food is still good, but they are starting to cut corners, and without the liquor license, it's clear that they are not going to get folks to stay.
