Portions are HUGE. The food was so flavorful and delicious. The server was friendly but told us the food would take 15 mins (we got it to go), ended up going to the dollar tree and came back and have to wait at least another 15 mins. We also got tres leches and I don't know about that one. I love tres leches and I think it may have been on the old side. Despite that, I'd still return because the food was worth it.

I debated for a while about this review and giving it either a 2 or 3 as it was more of a 2.5. Service was slow and the waitress didn't come back to check on us between taking our order and bringing out our food. They only had two tables in the dining room including the one we were occupying. She was busy with doing to-go orders but it would have been nice for her to check on us. Margarita was large but not very strong! Now the food was fine. I got the grilled chicken which came with tortillas (corn or flour), rice and beans, and a salad. The dressing that came with the salad was good. The chicken was seasoned well and made a nice little taco. I gave my beans to my husband as I'm not a refried beans fan and he loved them. Rice was delicious! Husband has one beef and one chicken chimichanga. It came with rice, salad and guacamole. It was all good.

The place wasn't fancy but it was authentic. Great portions and flavorful. With a mixture of Latin food and decor, the most pronounced flavor was Central American. It was lunch time and we saw many people pick up or workers have their lunch meal there. Our waitress was Spanish speaking and pretty fast. I ordered a very tasty chicken salad and it didn't disappoint with its generous portion and even with a generous sour cream scoop on top. I wanted to try the Peruvian option but they no longer had the pollo a la huancaina available and that day they didn't have any pisco which is one of my favorite alcoholic beverages to have when it's on the menu. You won't leave here hungry and they make sure of that by even having a little Spanish super market right next door. Super affordable place to go to if you are hungry and want something rich in taste :) Enjoy !

Best Latin food in Williamsburg. We eat here every trip to Williamsburg, which for us is once per year. Always great food, friendly service a great prices. Don't pay extra for the bigger places, get authentic delicious food a great price.

Food had a great taste. Service slow. Peruvian chicken is 8 out of 10 Overall is a good place to eat and have fun.

We went for lunch but didn't want to get their buffet so we looked at their rather extensive menu. Decided on Torta lengua for hubby and 3 different pupusas for me, chicharron, lochorro which is a Mexican flower with queso, and chicken with mozzarella. The chips with salsa were standard but when asked for the hot salsa they did provide a good one. Pupusas were greasy and rather flat, especially the chicharron one. The benies were the authentic atmosphere as most of the clients were Mexican and Mexican music was playing as well as the server being obviously either Mexican or Latin American. Horchata was served so that was delightful to see. Next door is a grocery store selling Mexican goods. We stopped in and purchased a couple of items.

Located in a strip mall it will look shady but looks are deceiving! Trusted my Yelpers with the 4 star reviews and it lived up to the rating. Food was fresh and meat was all seasoned perfectly! The beef nachos were really good and my fajita burrito was on point!

The food was delicious. The only thing we didn't like was that our table was dirty and we had to sit on one side of the booth. They need to hire more people to clean other then the two we saw. Other then that, customer service was amazing and the one girl that was handling everything, was quick. She didn't come back to ask us if we wanted anything but that makes sense because she had to handle other things. Get more help. But the food, DELICIOUS!

I hadn't eaten there in over five years, so I was hoping the food was still as good as I remembered. My visit was on a Friday evening, around 6:00 or 6:30 PM. The dining room was relatively quiet, with only two other customers present, and I was immediately greeted upon walking in. I asked the cashier about the new menu item, the "Lamb Chops." He described them as pan-fried, noting that an order includes two to three nice-sized chops and comes with two sides. I decided to order the lamb chops to go, selecting the arroz chaufa (fried rice) which was a $1 upcharge and plantains as my sides. I was extremely disappointed when I opened my order and found that I had been served lamb shoulder for $18 and not the lamb chops I expected (typically rib or loin chops). To add to my disappointment the quality of the Lamb was very poor; it was tough, contained an excessive amount of connective tissue and fat, and was ultimately inedible. I ended up having to throw the entire portion away. The arroz chaufa also had inconsistent quality. While the flavor was good, the texture varied significantly, with parts being mushy and overcooked, and others remaining hard and undercooked. The Plantains were cut too thick and were also undercooked. Given the cost and the expectation associated with "Lamb Chops," I was extremely unhappy with my meal. I believe the cut of meat served was misrepresented, falsely advertised and the quality was unacceptable. I certainly cannot recommend this item to others and regret not ordering the chicken, which I know your restaurant prepares well.

The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had plenty of available seating. I ordered the quarter chicken with Peruvian fried rice and sweet plantains. Everything was exceptional; the rice and plantains were cooked perfectly, and while I did think the chicken was slightly salty, it was still very tasty. I also enjoyed the green sauce provided, though the food was flavorful enough on its own. My only minor suggestion is for the staff to ask guests whether they prefer white or dark meat when ordering. Aside from that, the meal was excellent. If you are looking for authentic, great-tasting Peruvian chicken, I highly recommend stopping by El Pico de Oro.

The food is delicious -- from the perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken to the sides: yuca fries, peruvian corn salad, potatoes that taste homemade. The chicken is juicy, tender, and full of flavor, especially the dark meat, though fair warning: it can take a bit longer to come out if you order that. What really stood out was the fact that it was a one-man show -- the same person was the cook, cashier, server, and everything in between. You could tell he was working hard and looked exhausted, but he still managed to get everything done with a calm demeanor and a fairly steady attitude. Patience is key here, as food is made to order and may take time depending on what you choose. But trust me, the taste is worth the wait. Oh and If you're dining in on a hot day, make sure you grab a seat near the fan -- it can get very warm inside. It's a no-frills spot that delivers on flavor and heart.

This marinade truly is the spice of life and I use it in many of my recipes! You will also find baked goods, household items, and sundries at this store. There's a deli/butcher in the back and a frozen food section. There's also a small restaurant and pupuseria serving Latin fare, from Cuban sandwiches to tacos to tostones to tamales to yucca to soups/sides and more. For an inexpensive, quick bite in a casual, no nonsense eatery with lots of festive atmosphere, you've gotta try Cielito Lindo, it really is "a slice of heaven".
