A random stop for lunch yesterday. A petty low key place. I had to try their Peruvian chicken to see if they were legit. I had it with the green rice and black beans. The chicken was very flavorful and moist. I had the half chicken so I could try their dark and white meat. All good. The green rice and beans were very flavorful as well. Food was very delicious and awesome value for what you get. It can get a tad chaotic in here and sometimes things get lost. They mixed up our sides with someone else's and one of our meals got put in the takeout area and forgotten. There was 20 people in line that they quickly rang us all up and seated us so I can see how it got confused. It didn't take away from how good it is. The food is always good, I love the seasoning they use. Two things I didn't like was 1) my empanadas had bones in them, that was not supposed to be, that's a chocking hazard. 2) the prices listed on the menu over the counter are not the same as the prices listed on the app. That should be changed. I had to pay more than what I thought was supposed to because of the change of prices. That false advertising. Please correct me if your menus. read more

I didn't get her name but a woman here was sooo helpful with my order. She was happy to answer all my questions, explained how the mains & sides were prepared and EXACTLY what ingredients are used. I ordered Cilantro Chicken with a side of green beans, fried rice and fajita vegetables. Chef's kiss. Chicken is moist inside with a delicious smokey grilled outside. Really good chicken and sides for a decent price! Stopped in this afternoon to grab dinner for tonight. First time here and the gentleman behind the counter was nice and helpful when I asked which rice to get. We ordered the following: The 1/2 chicken meal with two sides plus we ordered an extra side. First off the chicken nice and juicy. There was plenty of chicken for the two of us. We ordered the fried rice, the pinto beans and plantains, and all were delicious, Generous servings of all the sides. We tried both their green sauce which is the hot sauce and the white sauce. I can't handle heat but my husband said the green sauce was good and flavorful. The white sauce had a little kick but also good flavor. There is plenty of seating inside and I do think everyone orders at the counter and walks through the line but we were the only ones there, so I'm not positive. We came upon this place while in Richmond looking for flavor! The lomo saltado was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The kids ordered the Canastas burgers and said they were so juicy! The food is always soooo good! The chicken cilantro with fried yuca and green rice is my go-to and never disappoints. I ask for extra sauces too. My only gripe is that my order has never been remotely ready when I have placed orders in advance. Each time I have had to wait 15-20 minutes after I arrive at the expected time. The steak quesadilla tasted great. Brochette de pollo. The food was delicious. I loved every bite of my chicken. It was very tender and well seasoned. I don't need the sauce that comes with it. But I did use some simply because I had it. I did mix the sauce into the fried rice and black beans. I as usual had left overs. But I had to have some of my fried bananas. Passing through a found this awesome Peruvian restaurant in a strip mall. The outside looked a bit sketchy but the food makes up for the scare. When you walk in you can smell the deliciousness of the food and it made me stay. There is a lot of food to mull over and since I'm about the chicken, I choose the half bird, dark meat. The two sides were a bit of confusion since other places call fried plantain, tostones, and these fried plantains are what I would call, Maduros, sweet plantains. Either way, they were great, nice and warm and not too sweet. The other side was the rice and beans, which came with the chicken fried rice and black beans which were also great. To top it off I had the tress leches dessert and it was wet and creamy, just a great dessert. Although this could have gotten a 5 star, it lacked a good fountain drink option and there were no place to get extra napkins and utensils. It could be the location but it was well worth the price. This is one of the most flavorful and moist Peruvian chicken I've ever had and I'm sad that I didn't discover this place sooner. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of their sides -- their green rice and yuca are my favorites though. Their sauces are delicious and actually have a bit of a kick, which I appreciate! I got the chopped chicken sandwich. It came with a drink and one side. I ate the whole sandwich but not all the fries. Definitely a good side portion. I probably could have eaten half of the meal and saved the other half for later. When you come in there is a line to order your food. They take your order and you make your way down to the register. I paid for my meal and had a nice conversation with the woman at the register as they worked on my sandwich. I then sat down at a table and she brought my meal out to me. I am obviously in the minority with my rating. I went here because I was hoping to try something a little different and it had great reviews... and I was really close by due to a work meeting. It is pretty easy to find. GPS took me right to it. Since it is in a strip mall, there was adequate parking. The guy who took my order was nice enough. I ordered the deep fried chicken(3rd item under the Peruvian section) and had beans and slaw as a side. The chicken just wasn't good to me. It was stringy and chewy... not what I really look for in chicken. Maybe I should have gone more with the rotisserie style chicken that they had.
