I haven't been to El Sabor in a few years. I'm very disappointed in the quality of food. We went for lunch and the shrimp quesadilla I got was disgusting. The shrimp was overcooked with no seasoning whatsoever, burnt onions, and green peppers. I don't recommend El Sabor any longer. It's sad because they used to be such a good local restaurant. I know there's a lot of competition out there, but you need to keep up your quality of food. read more

Great lunch specials! Most of the lunch specials are $10 and under that is a great deal these days. On top of that the food and service is great. It's not a large restaurant with a mixture of tables and booths for seating. I enjoyed the chicken taquitos! Plus the white sauce that they serve is delicious! read more

Revisited after many months only to find out "effective immediately" (as the posted signs say) they increased all of their prices by $2+ or more per entree (even on their lunch menu), etc. AND they now charge a 4% fee to pay by credit card!!! Their menus and website STILL show the old lower prices so you don't know how much anything really costs UNTIL you get the bill!! No wonder why the place was empty. read more

He eats a lot of fajitas and these were the worst he ever had.I tasted it and agree. Chicken,steak and shrimp were like leather. No seasoning or flavor whatsoever. When I arrived, I stood there for a while while the guy behind the bar ignored me and no one else greeted me - or made eye contact. Finally a guy came from somewhere else and took my order. No one else seemed to even be glad to see a new customer come in. The chimichanga was probably baked, not fried and it was rolled like an enchilada, not a burrito. I asked for a friend chimichanga - beef, with sour cream and guacamole. They put the wee bit of guacamole and the sour cream on lettuce with tomatoes - called it a salad, so I had to scrape it off for my chimi. I didn't ask for a salad. The meat was dry and had a strange taste. The beans were too salty and the rice wasn't good at all. Overall did not impress me in the least. Most of it went in the bin - which I hate because I hate waste! Curious if they eat this food themselves - I can't see how. read more

Anytime we travel to Williamsburg, we make El Sabor our last place to eat at because it's the perfect ending to our vacations. Everything takes fresh, authentic, and literally leaves you wanting more. Last time we were here, I was literally talking about how amazing the food was for our entire trip back home (about 3 hours). Owners are very friendly and always take time to talk to our boys. Their secret hot salsa is absolutely perfect. Everything I've had so far, between the tacos, enchiladas, steak chorizo special, chilaquilles, and Chile rellenos are our perfect picks every time. Mexican Pizza -- A It was a basic fried tortilla, with beans and hamburger and cheese, another tortilla on top with more cheese and tomatoes on top. I liked it, I would get it again. The menu looked pretty big, I saw options for everyone. The reason for just the "OK" was the service. So initially a woman sat me down and gave me my menu, so I thought maybe she was my waitress, but apparently a gentleman was instead. Well after my food came, no one else came to check on me. I went to the bar and asked the same woman for my check and a box, which a short time later she brought out, and I waited. and waited... No one came to take my check and I was in a rush so I left giving someone a rather big tip since I only had big bills and no one came to check on me to give me change. Our waiter Oscar was so sweet and the food came out fast. I'm vegan and got veggie fajitas, and he made sure they weren't cooked in butter. Came with refried black beans and rice, lettuce and guacamole. (Would also come with cheese and sour cream but since I'm vegan I said to leave it off) For just $10, huge portion.
