Don't come here if you're not hungry. I have been known to eat a fair amount, but I was stuffed by their lunch portion. Ask for hot salsa and they will make you a nice zesty green salsa. Service was quick and friendly, place is clean. Good choice!

I've never been to a restaurant and felt like I was at a family dinner, Azie was incredibly nice to us, letting us try some hotter salsas that were amazing. He even told us about their white sauce, that we mixed with our salsa selections that he told us to try and he was not wrong. The food was so amazing, I don't think my girlfriend and I said more than 2 words until we started to get full. I recommend this place over any other Mexican restaurant in the area!

Sangrita is delicious. Margarita with sangria.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and the waiter. My food came out exactly as described. When I'm back in town again, I will be visiting this restaurant. The price for two meals and 2 drinks was $48. We even had leftovers.

Stopped back inside year later and still a solid 4 star experience: Pros: Fast, kind and efficient service. Our waitress took good care of us. Good white sauce and salsa. Large corona-Rita Good food! Love the chicken dish with the mole sauce! So good! Husband loved his fried chimichangas! Clean restaurant that is not too big. Cons: Nothing from this visit!

The chips and sauce were very good, service was excellent. It was quieter than expected, pleasant. The staff was excellent were very agreeable when we asked for substitutions. Would definitely recommend.

the drinks were HUGE. The portions were HUGE. It was an amazing time. Got the medium sized drinks and very grateful we didn't go for lathes. The food was amazing and the vibes are great

You too can have this awesome memory (he has no clue I posted this).

Came here after a day at Busch Gardens. Lets just say all 8, adults, teens and kids, agreed they loved their meal. The portions are huge! They really emphasize on the seafood for a local Mexican restaurant. While I did check what time they closed on a weekday, they were cleaning up the place, but still served us and didn't rush us out the door. We had a great food experience here and I am sure it will be the go to place, post-BG, from now on.

Delicious. Not overly friendly wait staff, but the food is worth it. 7 Mares is Spanish for "7 Seas" and they live up to the name. Each time I go, I order something with shrimp in it and they are generous with the shrimp each and every time. The chips and salsa are. Nothing to write home about, but why fill your stomach with that stuff when you have a great nutritious meal about to be served. The margaritas have just right amount of tequila and tasty. They offer a margarita flight and that is colorful and fun to share. The ambiance is diner style and not fancy. I go back over and over because of the fresh quality shrimp dishes.

Saw 7 Mares opened so had to give it a try. The queso was pretty standard. Not bad but nothing special. The chips and salsa was also standard. For my entree, I ordered the El Sabor del Mar. I was a big fan of this dish. The fish was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were also very fresh. The seasoning had some kick but was very flavorful. Overall, I liked 7 Mares and would definitely go back in the future! They also seem to have a great all you can eat lunch deal!

Very nice service and good food. Huge portions served out quickly. Went here because wanted Mexican food and this was rated #3 on top 5 Mexican places in Williamsburg. Expectations were met.

So, let's find out how the visit went. There weren't a lot of people inside and there was only one waitress attending to tables. They have a bar area, tables and booths. We decided to eat near the entrance to their supermarket. It took a while for us to roam through the menu, but decided on what we wanted a few minutes after getting seates. I chose a 1/2 chicken with two sides (fried yucca and french fries). The Peruvian chicken was pretty good and flavorful. Both the fried yucca and fries could've been seasoned more, but were plentiful. I actually saved half of my meal for takeout and tasted well for dinner. Unfortunately, the bad part of our visit was the decor. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which has seen better days. Seats at the booth are torn up.....literally. The tables are outdated. The floor is in pretty bad shape, especially near the bar area. And in the bathroom, the paper towel dispenser was not connected to the wall and instead, laying on the floor. It's not comfortable washing your hands and then turning it sideways where you can get paper. I really don't mean to sound mean,, but the decor alone would turn folks away. It needs a big renovation all around. Hopefully, down the road, they can upgrade or they may become a thing of the past :(

I just ate the little bit of meat out of it, couldn't even eat the shell! Not worth $8 for one! The other taco was a chicken mole and it wasn't bad but for most street tacos they give you two tortillas to hold it all together. Only one and it all fell apart. Will not be returning!

We were visiting from DC, which is objectively a more expensive area, and yet the price per taco was higher than individual tacos at our favorite taco chain in DC, especially for the shrimp and, especially curiously, the cauliflower. And then the portions of shrimp and cauliflower in those tacos was pretty disappointing. Also, very fried. Nachos and quesadillas seemed like a better value than tacos so, while my husband got the aforementioned tacos, I got the nachos without any added protein. Much better value - huge portion at a small price. Some odd choices though. There was an appropriate amount of cheese (beer cheese, which seemed appropriate given its location inside a beer hall) but a really small amount of other toppings (beans, corn, pico I think?) relative to the huge amount of raw jalapeño slices. The dish relies really heavily on jalapeño for flavor and freshness, and I like jalapeño, but these woud be more appropriately described as "jalapeño and cheese on chips" than nachos, IMO. If you love raw jalapeño you'll be in heaven but for those who are accustomed to jalapeños being an accent, this is A LOT. It was like the primary ingredient after chips, even above cheese. All in all, it's fine if you're in the area and want tacos or need food with your beer but is it somewhere I would go out of my way to visit? Probably not.
