When my mom and I came in, we were immediately greeted and seated and asked us what we wanted to drink. I went with water with lemon while my mom went with a soda. Someone else came around to put chips and salsas at the table. When our server came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, and we were. We started with the El Portrillo Dip appetizer. For the entrees, I got the Burrito Bowl with Chicken as the protein. My mom went with the Fajita Taco Salad with Beef as the protein. While waiting for that to come out, we would indulge in the dip and salsas. About 15 minutes later, the entrees came out to the table, and the timing was perfect as we had just finished the dip and such. The food came out hot and exactly as ordered. Just like the last time, the food was great. The flavors and such were there. I definitely prefer the burrito bowls instead of a burrito now. Our server came back a few times to check on us, and it was nice to hear more conversations in English when compared to the last visit. Overall, this was a much better experience on this visit. Service was much better and I didn't feel like I was in a place with a different language going on. Based on this newer experience, I will look to visit this place more often. I think had I visited earlier in the day, it may have had a less oily texture to it. The accompanying soup was super sour but acted as a perfect palate cleanser after the oily meals. The service was excellent-- friendly, patient, and helpful. You can pick and choose different entrees over rice or pancit. Similar to getting food from Panda Express. The inside of the restaurant has several family friendly seatings available and baked goods and market also. Lastly, parking is free and plentiful right across from the front entrance. If an out of area Filipino asked for a good place to eat, I wouldn't hesitate recommending them. I certainly wouldn't mind revisiting again in the future.

While all the signature sauces have dairy in them, I appreciated that they stated that fact on their menu beside where their sauces were listed. I wish I had come about an hour later in the day because, after ordering, I learned that they have a happy hour from 3 to 5:30 each day where The Truth Taco is $3.50 and other dishes are cheaper as well. Some street fries were ordered for the table, and I had fished out about 5 fries without the sauce (because I figured there was a dairy sauce and cheese on top) and the fries were really tasty as well! The atmosphere inside is very fun and bright with huge glass garage door windows letting light in and colorful paintings of animals on the walls. If you have sensitivity to noise, know that they keep the music volume pretty low, but since the restaurant is right on the boulevard and has large glass windows, you're likely going to hear some noisy cars drive by. I don't know what it is, it seems it's always a hit or miss now when it comes to Felynn's. This used to be the best place to go to, good service, always great food, good portions. These days I have 2nd thoughts on going because I'm afraid I'll end up wasting money on food we end up not enjoying. Bring back the good old days when people weren't being rushed to order, and food tasted like it wasn't rushed to make, the kind that your Lola or Nanay would cook and serve to their loved ones. You order and pay then sit down. From the short time we were there it looks like they do mostly takeout service rather than dine in and you'll feel it. I also enjoyed the green sauce provided, though the food was flavorful enough on its own. My only minor suggestion is for the staff to ask guests whether they prefer white or dark meat when ordering. Aside from that, the meal was excellent. If you are looking for authentic, great-tasting Peruvian chicken, I highly recommend stopping by El Pico de Oro.

When I entered I was greeted right away and was given a menu and I let them know I would like to place an order to go.  Service was great and the wait staff was very friendly and took my order immediately.  The dining room was very spacious with plenty of tables and they had bar seating available. While I waited for my food I decided to walk over to the bakery that was attached to the restaurant. The bakery sells a bunch of different Colombian/Spanish baked goods, snacks and frozen items. They also had a section setup similar to a gift shop that had purses, hats, clothing and souvenirs that you would mostly find if you were in Columbia which I found to be a nice and unique addition.  I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with coconut rice, fried cassava, and sugar cane juice with lime To-go. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of my meal. My chicken lacked flavor and tasted as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The wing was so dry and dehydrated that it was inedible; only the leg and thigh were moist. Additionally, the coconut rice was significantly undercooked and excessively sweet, to the point that I could not eat it. The fried cassava was served in very large pieces that remained undercooked. The Sugar cane juice was a dark brown color and had a sour taste, suggesting it was not fresh.  Fresh sugarcane juice should be a greenish- yellow color and only turns brown after it oxidizes which changes the quality and is not what I expected.  I have heard great things about this restaurant and hope my experience is not the norm. While I am interested in other menu items, I am currently hesitant about when I might return.
