    Pollo Fundido

Sister and I were out on some last minute errands before Christmas. We were both starving and she wanted Mexican, so we went to the closest spot, which happened to be right across from the Kemps River Shops. This place turned out pretty average - decent Mexican provisions, but unfortunately, the service was next to non-existent, despite there being only 2 other tables being served in the restaurant. This left our experience pretty lacking. The layout is a little confusing, as you walk in and find yourself in a completely separate room from the dining area. It's a carpeted room with a bar and a couple small tables. We were quickly taken down a hallway into the main area, with lots of booths and tables and themed decor. We were seated in a booth and brought chips with salsa and white sauce (albeit a pretty minuscule amount), both yummy. We ordered a bean dip, her a Pollo Fundido, and me a shrimp quesadilla with extra sour cream on the side. The bean dip was brought out first, and it was hot and cheesy, with a little bit of spice. It was pretty good. Unfortunately, though, when we were given our entrees, our server never came back - so we never got more chips, white sauce, drink refills, or when I discovered I didn't get extra sour cream, I wasn't able to get that, either. The servings were pretty small. No complaints about the taste, though. My sister liked her fried chicken burrito. It was pretty tiny, though. And for me, it was the first time I have seen tomatoes IN a quesadilla, but it tasted good. I'm pretty picky about having sour cream with my Mexican food, so it sucked only having one dollop for my whole plate. If the service was more present here, I would have been a lot happier. The workers seemed more interested in chatting with each other, even though we were one of the only tables being dined at in the restaurant. Even though the food was decent, we missed out on a lot due to the lack of service. Oh well.

I'm fairly certain this place has been in this location for a very, very long time and I am ashamed to say I just went in for the first time this week. I am incredibly thankful that a couple of friends thought to invite us out! We stopped in on Saturday night @ 6pm. The entrance is tucked away - we actually walked through a patio in the parking lot. There is ample parking in the shopping center, behind the Brusters off Indian River Road. It's not directly accessible traveling west so you'll have to make a u-turn. We entered into a bar area and were greeted and seated right away in a section of the restaurant that makes you forget the odd entryway - the huge skylight offered lots of natural light which, I think, made our dining experience even more pleasant. That, and we had a babysitter! Chips, salsa and white sauce and beers quickly delivered. They have Dos Equis Amber. A plus! Our server was excellent throughout the meal - quick with refills and checking in. What blew both me and hubs away was the prices! For the HUGE, delicious portions, they're notably cheaper than other local Mexican joints. And the food is phenomenal! I tried the vegetarian fajitas with corn tortillas and had 2 meals leftover. We had a great experience and I look forward to returning.

Nice seating. Awesome service. Great food. Weird hole in ceiling over stall in women bathroom?!? That pretty much sums up our visit. First things first, the white sauce is sooo good here!! Some places it seems to be too thin, but here it was nice and thick. My son had the kid's chicken tender meal and pretty much ate it all. My husband had the Steak and Chicken Burrito and loved it. I just had the mild Buffalo wings and thought they were pretty good. Before leaving I went to the restroom and noticed an odd hole in the ceiling directly over the stall. Maybe nothing, but I decided to just wait until I got home. They have 2 stalls and a changing table in the restroom...and a couple suspicious holes in the ceiling. Just letting you know.

They charge you .50 for togo orders. Interesting.

This place has great food. They have salmon tacos and they're very delightful. I have this place for stars even though they have flaws, and the flaws prevent them from 5. They don't do specials, their tacos are expensive in singles, and they have no happy hour. Yet they still get a door start Bavaria their food is foolishly good.

I love their options of drinks an biscuits, I've especially been craving their bacon and cheddar biscuit since I've last had it, and it's nice to go to a cafe that dos things a little differently than the standard! One thing I also adore about this location is how they will host small markets on the lawn outside the house! One time me and my friend finished chatting and having coffee and we unknowingly walked outside to see a bunch of vendors that weren't there before! It was so fun to walk around and speak with everyone, they were all so sweet and I ended up buying multiple things unplanned! I will say it can be a tight squeeze between the doorway and the counter when ordering as the hallway is small and the line can grow rapidly. But if it's not cold outside or busy there then it's not really an issue at all! I'm sad that they aren't open past 1-2PM most days, but that's understandable given the business they run and thier location! Overall, I couldn't recommend tho place more for anyone wanting a new study spot or place to try out in general in VB!

I was greeted as soon as I walked in and I love how nice and friendly the staff are. The shop is always so clean and I love the beautiful decor! I ordered the drink and asked if it came in a large (it's just that good) but they said it only comes in one size due to the amount of caffeine that's in it and I completely understood. I was only there to grab the Power Fizzy but the Honey Graham Beignets sounded tasty, so I ordered those as well. My Strawberry Coconut Power Fizzy was great, per usual. It tastes like a dirty soda but it actually includes a lotus plant-based caffeine with benefits such as weight loss, mood boosters and blood sugar regulation and also includes antioxidants. The Honey Graham Beignets were wonderful! They were tossed in graham cracker crumbs and cinnamon with a honey drizzle! Beignets and Brew never disappoints and I will definitely be back soon for another Power Fizzy lol.

I was pleasantly greeted by Ashley F who asked if it was my first time in the shop. She was friendly and patient with me as I asked a few questions. I decided on 24 beignet bites to go and ordered small containers of each of the three dipping sauces: Butter Cream, Blueberry, and Chocolate. I enjoyed the smaller bite-sized beignets, and the butter cream dipping sauce combination the best! My coworker wished the blueberry dipping sauce was a little thicker. But, all three dipping sauce flavors are tasty. I also ordered a regular Honey-Cinna Lavender Latte, hot, with oat milk (additional $1 charge for the alternative milk) and it was delicious! Although my orders were 'to-go', this location offers a great vibe. The dining areas were clean and inviting. I can definitely add this sweet spot to my list of places to meet up with friends. It's a great place to pick up a treat to share.

They are known for their blueberry scones, but I went against the grain. The Vegan Blueberry loaf appealed to me. With it being later afternoon the bakery Cade was pretty bare, but blueberry scones continued to crank out. They also had a coffee special, a carrot cake latte. Service was helpful and friendly. The dining room has a decent amount of space to enjoy a brew and treat inside. Outdoor seating is limited, but they do have it. The decor is pretty dark and rustic with wood tables. I chose a table in the rear that was clean. After around 5+ my blueberry loaf was called out by my name. It was warmed up and pretty good. Being vegan it was not as sweet, but I liked it. Another 10+, too long in my opinion my name was called for coffee pick up. At that point most of my load had been eaten. The coffee was pretty good, not blowing me away. I would like to return to try more. 3+, rounding up.
