Best Mexican food in Spokane! OMG! We are huge Mexican food fans and have been to many in Spokane. Most are pretty good but they all taste about the same. But seriously, this is THE BEST. From the outside, it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall (which always makes the best food), but inside is so cute and the sombreros over the tables were perfect. The wait staff was very friendly. The salsa was amazing and tasted very fresh! Huge portions. I usually can only eat about 1/3 to 1/2 my plate at a Mexican restaurant but this was so good that I ate the whole thing. I'm also pregnant so, there's that. But I literally can't stop thinking about this place and I can't wait to go back. It's our new favorite and can't wait to bring our family in from out of town. I really love that they use cotija cheese on the beans. I don't think I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant that does that. It was so good! read more

The food was amazing. My husband and I got the taquitos and it was so much food. We decided to share. The plates were a little expensive but when we saw home much food it was, we were glad we got a plate to share. The salsa is awesome! Most Mexican places have really spicy and watery salsa. I stopped by here to pick up dinner after running errands. I know fajitas are normally served on a sizzling plate, but it sounded good and I really wanted to get home for the evening. I've had fajitas many times, but these were very different. Every other time I've had them, it was basically seasoned meat, peppers and onions. Rincon Tapatio's version is smothered in a tomato sauce. Not necessarily bad, but not at all what I expected or wanted and I was sad that I spent $17+ on a meal that wasn't what I wanted. I wouldn't say that I wouldn't eat there again, but I would definitely not order the fajitas. read more

Dropped our son off at college and decided to check out this place. What can I say.... some of the best Mexican food I have had in California, Oregon and Washington. Excellent service (Randy showed me pictures of fish he had caught in the Spokane River), delicious food, great portions and not too expensive. Wow. We came here to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. We have lived up in Hillyard for awhile now and drove by everyday and finally decided to stop in. This is our new go to Mexican restaurant. The food is amazing and so flavorful!! Their margaritas are delicious and have many flavors to choose from. We ordered a to go order the other night as well and everything was perfect and wrapped up wonderfully. If you want good Mexican food skip azteca or any other local place and come here. This is my new favorite Mexican food place! My husband and I have driven by here many times and finally decided to try it out, especially with the great reviews given on Yelp. The food is amazing, I had a dish with shrimp in it and they were big and delicious more like prawns! My husbands favorite dish is chilli relleno and he loved it. We also had some margaritas and they were very good. The outside of the restaurant doesn't look like much but don't let that fool you, its absolutely adorably decorated inside. I have been to several Mexican restaurants in Spokane and have never really been entirely impressed, until I had randomly gone out to eat with my mother and decided to check this place out. The food was delicious and authentic, and the chips and salsa was a nice addition to our meal! I am now a regular customer at Rincon and I have to say the customer service is excellent. Miguel, one of the servers always greets everyone with a smile from ear to ear, and ladies, he is "muy guapo"!!!! I definetly recommend this place to everyone in town! read more

The food was average, I was really unhappy with how they charged us for every little thing without warning. If you tell me a head of time I can afford to pay for extras but to charge us for extra tortillas, charge us for spicy salsa and so on was rediculous. Went to get some take out. My husband's food was fine. He liked it but my food smells like I'd rather not say. We have been to the Rincon Tapatio over on Hamilton a couple of times and have always been happy. My food smells like someone just got sick and was not hot. In fact it was cold. It should have at least been warm. The service was excellent. I use a cane to help me get around and the young man who's name I cannot remember, and is so kind helped me out to the car with our food. I really don't wanna leave a review like this, because they are so nice. But I was not happy. The enchiladas sauce looks and tastes like tomato soup out of a can. read more

This is some amazing Mexican food! My husband absolutely adores this place and says its the best mexican he has had in Spokane. The first time we went I got the 7 Mares, which is a kind of seafood soup. I was SHOCKED. It is SO GOOD. There were crab legs on the top, scallops, jumbo shrimp and some of those mini frozen ones, as well as cod on the top. The broth is a tomato base and they add lime juice and fresh cilantro to the top. My husband got a seafood chimichanga as well (at the recommendation of friends) and was blown away. Usually ordering seafood in Spokane can be a dangerous game, but this place does it well. The pina colada was as big as my head, but not very strong at all. The second time we went back my husband tried Anthony's favorite and said it was good, but seafood centered dishes were better. We went on Cinco de Mayo (our anniversary of meeting), as well as again a week later. If you are in the mood for delicious, authentic mexican food, this is the place to be! read more
