I went lite with Enchilada Suizas, knowing that the ladies I was dining with would want help. Food was great. Better than great was their bartender. I called ahead because we had a large group (over 10 people) coming for dinner. Service was fantastic! Orders were correct and everyone enjoyed their food! It was still very loud in the family side even though there were only a few other customers. Must be the sound bouncing off cement floor & the high ceilings. Outside of that, was a wonderful experience. I had the two item combo and made a special request for creama sauce over the chile relleno instead of the traditional red. No problem & no weird looks from our server. I had something similar at a different place. While very good, will stick with the red, which I've had before and is one of the best chile rellenos in the area! The tamal was also excellent! Perfectly moist and not dry like other places. I visited with family while I was in town. It was a bit busy when we arrived, the we were seated quickly and the staff was friendly and got our order going. They offered complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was mild and had several chunks of raw onion which I try to avoid. They offered happy hour each afternoon, and had discounts on their large margaritas. I didn't partake in one, but my cousin ordered a virgin Mango margarita and she really liked it. I ordered the Enchiladas Del Mar, which was shrimp enchiladas covered in a salsa la crema. It was a funny color of crema sauce, but it tasted good. My meal also came with cole slaw which is something different that I've not had at a Mexican restaurant before. My enchiladas were on corn tortillas and were half the size of the flour option, but that was ok with me. I also got rice and beans, but I only tasted those items and focused my efforts on the enchiladas. read more

Really nice addition to the North Indian Trail area in Sundance Plaza next to JJ's. Super welcome, chips and salsa and drink order immediately. There's seating in several booths, tables in the center or at the bar.Not sure what's different with their salsa, but it's tasty with good chips. The street taco was small, as they are, and had very good pork carnitas. The chili relleno was really good - nice size and very cheesy. The Chimichanga had the same shredded beef so it was good, too. Kind of standard rice and beans. The Margarita was kind of spendy but came with two salt rimmed glasses and the shaker which poured 3 drinks. Every staff person was friendly and helpful. Outstanding. Best chili rellenos in Spokane; great drinks! Good tamales. Advice is to get the yellow sauce not the red or green. The red is kind of a strange tomatoey thing. The yellow sauce is amazing and I love it. Great black beans (hard to believe some places don't have them and most of the ones that do overcook them). Looking for a local place that had vegetarian options and decided on this restaurant. Greeted with warm chips and delicious salsa which had a pleasant kick to it. I had the burrito carne asada, the sauce was amazing/delicious/ superb and on and on The other dish was spinach and cheese enchiladas. Again the green sauce was exquisite/ fabulous and savory. Ate here on a Sunday. My quesadilla was good, however nearly every other item at our table was wrong. Refried beans instead of black, flour tortillas for someone who couldn't have gluten. We had to ask twice for silverware. It probably would have still been four stars if it weren't for two instances of hair in the food. One hair was in a margarita near the bottom of the glass and the other was in the black beans. It was a frustrating meal, but some of the food was quite good. read more
