My boyfriend and I love coming here! We love the fast and amazing service. The food is always beaming hot and we love it :)

We came here for my son's birthday and they never acknowledged it was his birthday even though we told him three times. Not even a birthday greeting or chip at the end of the meal. We were rushed in and out so fast and there was six of us so we spent quite a bit of money. Two of our party was late and it took them over a half hour to even acknowledge they had arrived or bring chips and salsa and we were there for over an hour before we ordered and not because our party was late. The worst part was I ordered a chicken taco salad and the taco shell had just come out of the fridge it was still cold and wet and there was no cheese or toppings on the salad. The chicken literally looked like it was just pulled out of a can and tasted awful. 6 hours later I'm up with what I can only imagine is food poisoning and I won't be going back to that location. read more

Had lunch with a regular and special margarita. My wife didn't drink hers so I had both - a substantial amoount of margarita that cost some $30. I mentioned to my wife that it tasted like a Slurpee with margarita mix. Got home, got out my police quality breathalyzer and blew a whopping 0.008. Not .08 - .ZERO ZERO 8!! That's like taking a whiff of tequila. The owner won't talk to me about it though I went with my device and spoke with one of his employees. If you like getting ripped off for your cocktails, this is the place to go. read more

This was my second time here and I plan to keep coming back. It's a bit of a drive from my place but it's been worth it both times. It can get very busy here at dinner time so go right after work or treat yourself to lunch. We were given a friendly welcome and seated immediately. It has a traditional Mexican restaurant vibe. The chips and salsa came out quickly. The salsa was very flavorful. I had the cheese filled enchiladas verde. It comes with beans and rice. It is truly an outstanding plate. The green sauce had a rich flavor and there was a tiny little cabbage like salad on the plate as well. I had a very well made margarita. I did not order the house but rather The Original Margarita. It's made with Cointreau and fresh squeezed limes....the way it should be made. Such a lovely addition to my lovely meal. We all enjoyed our food and felt well taken care of. They have a good size parking lot too so it makes it easy. I can't wait for my next visit. Do yourself a favor and get in here. read more

Now that we are in phase 2, this and most restaurants have reopened with 25% seating. It was good to be back. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding with all dishes stuffed with meat. The staff were all wearing masks and completed thorough table, seat , and menu cleaning between guests. Our meal consisted of an appetizer, large combo, soda, and margarita. The total was just north of $50.00. I suppose this will be the new normal as costs have risen and there is limited capacity. Still loved the meal but will have to limit how often we go out. Went here with friends that suggested it. Have only been here the one time and had a really good experience. Great salsa (and chips). Our waiter was friendly and helpful and he made us all some very good Cadillac Margaritas. They weren't too sweet but very flavorful. Everyone ordered something different and I was able to sample off others and everything was pretty darned good. I ordered a combination and the portion sizes were generous. When we left we all commented on our dinners being really good and I thanked our friends for suggesting It's not a fancy place at all but is neat and clean with a good atmosphere for casual dining. Has that great family owned feel where they really care about customers. Reminded me of some of my favorite neighborhood Mexican Restaurants back home. We'll definitely be returning customers for sure. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't have that option. I Highly recommend you give Rancho Chico a try. read more

We usually go to the Rancho Chico on North Division which is great. We decided to try this location. The service was awesome as well as the beans and margaritas. However the food was lukewarm. Usually most Mexican restaurants serve food on an extremely hot plate. I ordered an enchilada platter. One cheese and one chicken. The chicken was warm and none of the cheese was melted. All of the cheese in the enchilada was made up of unmelted shreds. It was as if they put the cold cheese in the tortilla, rolled it up, put the sauce over it and just sent it out without heating up. I love the goodness of a hot cheese enchilada with the melted cheese on the inside. The server offered to redo it, but I just don't send food back in fear of retribution. If you asked me my favorite mexican place in spokane I would say Rancho Chico every. single. time. I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience once. The fajitas are amazing and the fajita burrito is just as great. Rancho Chico Burrito is so good no matter what protein you choose. And the margaritas.... huge and delicious. I have been to this place twice now and each time was a disappointment. One would think that by the bustle of the restaurant that the food was a truly amazing experience. This was not the case for either of my visits. On my last visit, I ordered the chicken tacos. What I received were unseasoned boiled chicken, iceberg lettuce, and generic cheddar cheese, sandwiched between an even more unremarkable crunchy tortilla. Hispanic cuisine is some of the most vibrant and flavorful in the world, and while it pains me to say this, I've received a more flavorful experience at a Taco Bell. I'm always open to trying a restaurant again in the future so here's to hoping they bring it in the future. read more

I came here despite everyone telling me Azteca was the best Mexican to be had in Spokane. It just makes me sad to think the best Mexican food comes from a chain. This is the first time I have dined Mexican in Spokane. It was...OK. I came in on a Sunday, which means fajitas are the special. You can get a slightly-larger-than-average combo fajita platter for about 10 bucks. They were good, no realy complaints, just didn't knock my socks off. I have yet to visit any other Mexican places in Spokane, so I can't put this place where it belongs on the ladder. Not to worry though, I've got plenty of time! Service was VERY good. I highly recommend the "hot" version of their salsa (in typical Mexican restraunt fashion, you have to specifically ask for it) it's MUCH better and it's one of the few salsas I've had a Mexican joint that is actually HOT. I'm guessing they augment the normal salsa with habaneros. Also had an above average amount of cilantro, which I appreciate. I liked it so much I bought some to take home! read more

Wow what a surprise! I never thought such a small little place could have so much outstanding customer service and great food! We were there less than 5 minutes and our order was taken and drinks are on the table.... Talk about freaky fast! Not only was our drinks out on the table, but the server was very friendly and spoke a little Spanish to us as well. Not even 10 minutes into everything our food came right out piping hot and delicious! Both of the kids finish their entire meal and the wife was not too far behind. The Margaritas are spot on the atmosphere is very comfortable and this is probably the top one or two places in Spokane. Stopped by on my way home (Rathdrum, Id) from a funeral service. Had always wanted to try this place & found the opportunity this week. First, service was exceptional. Ordered arroz con pollo as is usually my go to dish; mostly because I can usually count on enough for a go box and also can compare to other similar dishes in the area. Horrible, way too overpriced even after inflation. My brother got 3 steak tacos with rice & beans for 32 dollars and my tacos each for tacos were 7.99. The service was odd, our waiter wasn't patient toward the other 3 people i was with and he was very snippy and the guy that greeted us was weird and i felt every uncomfortable as he caressed my shoulder and said "hey señorita" as i didn't already feel uncomfortable. read more

Have been eating here since they first opened. Excellent food comparable to what I grew up eating in Arizona. Family-owned with friendly staff and clean facilities. Highly recommended. They are currently doing takeout during the COVID-19 pandemic, open for limited hours at lunch and dinner. 4/26/20 Update: They are open 12-2 and 5-8. You call in your order, then when you arrive you stay in your car until they call you to come in to pay and pick up so there is only one customer inside at a time. read more

This review is for the restaurant location at the "Y", not Northwest Blvd. Since it is owned by the same people, I decided not to make the effort to move it, since no effort was made for us when we were at you "Y" location! Went there to celebrate graduating from College, very disappointing. As we were motioned to our table, the waiter just threw our menus on the table. I had never seen a waiter do this before, but I just ignored it, I was trying to have a celebration. My husband ordered the taco lunch combo. His plate came with a layer of water under the tacos; the shell bottoms were completely soggy. I'm not sure why there was water under the tacos, but I told my husband to just let the waiter know and they would fix it. Or so I thought, we waited but the only thing that was brought to us was the bill; we didn't even get the little fried tortilla dessert that is usually brought with the bill. We weren't charged for my husbands plate (I wouldn't have paid for it if we had), but there was zero effort made to replace the soggy water tacos with a real meal! I have never heard of a restaurant not trying to make it right. My chimichanga lunch combo was not that flavorful, the salsa was also flavorless; just tasted hot (we love hot though, but hot with flavor!) The chips were cold and without flavor too, not even salt. My husband and I left and he was still completely hungry. I have eaten here before, but this experience guarantees that we won't be back. Rancho Chico management, I know it's had to find employees right now, but if your lack of customer service continues, you might start having trouble finding customers too. My wife and I ate here for the first time, for dinner on Thursday; the place is clean and nicely decorated, we were greeted as soon as we walked in. After being seated, chips and salsa were immediately delivered to the table, there was a very mild and medium spicy salsa, both were tasty. Mary started with a Mango margarita and I had a lime. Both were very tasty; there blender needs to have the blades sharpened or changed out, there were large chunks of ice that keep blocking the straw, a good blender should produce a smooth even product. Mary had the chicken chimichanga which she enjoyed, I had the shrimp burrito which was excellent; I was surprised by how many shrimp were stuffed into the burrito, it is so easy to over cook shrimp making it chewy, but these were perfect, along with onions, peppers, cheese, and green sauce. Yay for COKE products! I ordered a shredded beef taco and received ground beef though I did not return it or say anything as their salsa is fabulous and spiced up my taco! Rice and beans weren't too bad. I am partial having living in Phoenix and So Cal so I am not trying to beat up this restaurant too much since they are near the land of potatoes and seafood. Love the chips and salsa...Wish my waitress wouldn't returned to refill by COKE. Would like to see homemade corn and flour tortillas here! That would REALLY set this place apart from others. I enjoyed the little complimentary dessert of a sopapilla afterwards. Too me it looked like a little chip with a mini scoop of vanilla ice cream and canned whipped topping. I would have recommend this place based on favorable past experience but my most recent visit was poor at best. They completely messed up my take out order...missing portions of the order and getting other parts incorrect. Boy, what a total dissapointment. I went there to get take out. Soup. Just soup. Just 2 orders of Menudo. First off, it was $15 per soup!! $15? Where I came from (San Diego), it would be $8-$10. Buuuuut, my wife was sick and she really wanted it. 15 minutes later, the host tells me it will be a few more minutes b/c the "defrosted" the wrong soup. Wait...defrosted? The soup's not even freshly made?? Where I come from, it's ALWAYS fresh, waiting to be scooped out of the big metal canister or whatever. $15 and not even fresh? Buuuuut, my wife was sick and she really wanted it. I few more, "any minute now, sir" and it's now exactly 30 minutes from when I placed my order. 30 minutes for frozen Menudo? And there's only one other group eating so it suuuure wasn't busy. Ugh, can this get any worse? The second. About to ask for a refund, he comes out with my order. I go home, unpack everything...and it's NOT EVEN MENUDO!!!!!! Menudo is made with beef tripe and beef tripe ONLY!!!!! Look it up. Our soups are crapped with soggy pork skins. Tons of pork skins and nothing but pork skins. I don't like pork skins. Neither does my wife. Born n raised by the border, this is not in any way or form Menudo. So $30 for two frozen soups that took 30 minutes to defrost and only to wind up being not what I even ordered...you can see why I'll never go there again. read more
