Cheese enchilada plate
Amy G.

I lived in San Antonio Texas for a few years. I visit often as my father lives in SA with his wife who was born and raised there and her family has been there since the beginning of Texas. I tell you this because I compare my Mexican cuisine to the food I ate there. The food and culture of SA is a kind of beauty I cannot describe I can only recommend you visit and spend time in the southeast side, not downtown river walk. I felt welcomed the moment we entered Rincon. This is a neighborhood restaurant and I truly love supporting my neighborhood. We were sat quickly at a clean and cozy booth. Warm chips and fresh salsa arrived immediately as well as fresh water and our drink order was taken. The staff was attentive our entire visit. Our food also arrived quickly. I had the cheese enchilada plate with a side of tortillas. The sauce was flavorful and the cheese was melted to perfection. The tortillas did not taste fresh and that's always a bummer for me. I can't exclaim enough how much of a game changer fresh tortillas truly are. My margarita was just standard mix margarita. Nothing special. My friend ordered chicken nachos and said they were perfect. She described the seasonings that were used in the chicken and how that made the dish for her. Cheese, chicken and chips done right. Our food did not disappoint but it was the standard Mexican fair nothing stood out as excellent. It's a great neighborhood spot where the food is good and the staff is great.

Truly authentic Mexican food. Amazing cheese enchiladas, and the steak burrito was cooked perfectly.

Mary and I stopped in for lunch yesterday, our first visit. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. There is are very colorful Mexican decorations, everything was clean and bright. Chips and salsa came right out, followed by our tasty beverages. Mary had a taco and burrito. I had a enchilada, tamale, and chilli relleno. The portions are large, the food was good, but standard Mexican fair.

Oh my god. Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. Our server, David, was so nice and welcoming and the massive portions came out so fast. I felt like I was eating at someone's grandmothers house it all felt so personal and comfortable.

Strawberry kiwi fish bowl + candy!

I came to visit a friend and she brought me here to try their signature "fish bowl" drink which I was impressed by. For $13 you could get a large alcoholic beverage which would've been double back home. I got the strawberry kiwi fish bowl and loved it- it wasn't too strong and it paired well with my meal. The pricing for the food and drinks weren't too bad but the quality of the food was mediocre. I've been spoiled with a lot of Mexican food over the past years and have picked up some flavors that I always expect and I'm a little harsher on this cuisine. The pollo ranchero plate tasted like tomato sauce with onion and chicken and the rice was dry. That would be my only concern and I was also expecting some spice to the plate.

I found this place quite expensive. Food was good but not great. The ambience and space isn't very warm or inviting. They had good portions and staff is friendly

Amazing service, clean environment, open during Covid, and absolutely amazing food! I usually don't leave and review, but this place was too amazing. Drinks are great and food is delicious! I had the chicken steaks street tacos. Authentic taste, amazing flavor. They were absolutely fabulous! I will definitely be coming back for more!

The only Mexican restaurant In town that I know will always give me 10/10 amazing authentic food, great service, and always has good deals going on. I love to try many different places but I always end up back here.. it's my home. I go to both locations and they're both perfect with it all! If you're looking for real good authentic food, come here.

How wrong I was!!! We found this place on Yelp and it looked like a winner...4.7stars and right next to our hotel. We dined on a Saturday night and the place was packed...we got the last open table. I really loved the decorations inside- colorful, festive, and some really neat Dia De Los Muertos styled paintings. Our server was great and went through the menu...lots of selections. I wasn't super hungry so I got 3 street tacos (1 al pastor, 1 carnitas and 1 tinga). My son got an al pastor quesadilla and my wife got pollo tacos. The chips and salsa were good and held us over until the food came. When the food came they also brought out 3 more salsas in squeeze bottles and all of these were great too. All 3 of my street were very flavorful and all incredibly tender. Sometimes chicken and carnitas can be pretty bland but not here...these were exactly what I was looking for. My family loved their food as well and we left wishing we had a Los Habaneros Taqueria back in AZ! When I was paying for our meal at the cashier several people were picking up to go meals and heard we were from AZ visiting and both parties said we found the best spot in Spokane for Mexican food. I don't doubt them for a minute...this was dynamite.

We found Molé restaurant along our walkway and decided to make a pit stop. Thankfully, there weren't a whole bunch of people yet. It was a gorgeous sunny day so we sat outside with a beautiful view overlooking the Spokane River. It was not a clear view due to an obstruction of some leafy vine plants that covered the railing. That made it not so pleasant. In order to truly see the view, you literally had to stand. It would've been best to have bar height tables and chairs to capture the view and the dining experience outside would be lovely. The interior of the restaurant is pretty large with nice decor, art mural, clean and comfortable ambiance. Our server was nice and made recommendations. We were offered complimentary chips and salsa which we enjoyed. The salsa was good. I ordered the Baja Fish tacos which were delicious. I enjoyed it paired with horchata drink. My daughter ordered the Empanadas Fritas. She stated was pretty good. We would return to try other items on the menu.

Since moving here 7 years ago from the pacific southwest I am always on the hunt for a fish taco that will rival what we believe are the best fish tacos ever and I think I have finally found that here at Mole. It was a great mix of cabbage, pico de gallo, pickled onions and grilled pineapple salsa. I am in heaven! Also ordered at our table were the fajitas which were delicious, flavorful and more than enough food to be shared by 2. It was a great evening in every way and we will absolutely be back for more fish tacos!

The food was amazing, the people were great, and I was excited to come back. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I planned a date night and decided to order from here again. Since we have kids, we did pickup. We drove about 25 minutes, then waited another 25 minutes because the line was packed which I didn't mind because the food was that good the first time. But this time? Completely different experience. I ordered a bean burrito with cheese... and it had no beans. Just rice and cheese in a tortilla. Then the nachos, honestly, for $27, this was unacceptable. Dry chips, unmelted cheese, some tomatoes thrown on top, no meat, no beans just thrown together with no care. It looked and tasted like an afterthought. What made it worse is the lack of accountability. I tried calling multiple times last night and again this morning no answer. Calls just ring or don't go through. I even tried calling from different numbers. Nothing. At this point, it's not even about the money it's the principle. Mistakes happen, but not being able to reach anyone or have them make it right is frustrating. I really wanted to keep supporting this place because the first experience was great, but this completely missed the mark. If you go, just be aware the quality and consistency might not be what you expect.

When we walked in we were pretty much greeted right away and sat immediately and were given lunch and beverage menus. As we looked over the menu, a server brought us warm chips and salsa and took our drink order. Drinks were served quickly and so was our order. I got the taco salad with traditional ground beef and my friend ordered the 2 enchiladas combo meal, one with ground beef and the other with chicken. Food arrived pretty quick and both plates were hot and looked super fresh. My taco salad shell had a great cook to it, not overly crunchy hurting your gums but definitely not soggy either. It was a perfect tender crunch. Visually the lettuce, tomato, and shredded cheeses were bright, crisp, and really fresh. The ground beef was flavorful and not overly seasoned and I loved that it was still juicy, not greasy. Although it was a simple taco salad, each ingredient stood out on its own and the fresh guac and sour cream complimented the meal well making for a nice lunch. My friend said the enchilada meal is a fav and also favored the ground beef vs the chicken. However, it's worth noting the chicken was good too but today it seemed like the ground beef was on point for the both of us. For being lunch time, there were quite a few tables of lunch-goers but oddly the ambience was chill and the noise level was low. We had 2 different servers taking care of our table and had no issues whatsoever. We'll be back again!
