    Cheese enchilada plate

I lived in San Antonio Texas for a few years. I visit often as my father lives in SA with his wife who was born and raised there and her family has been there since the beginning of Texas. I tell you this because I compare my Mexican cuisine to the food I ate there. The food and culture of SA is a kind of beauty I cannot describe I can only recommend you visit and spend time in the southeast side, not downtown river walk. I felt welcomed the moment we entered Rincon. This is a neighborhood restaurant and I truly love supporting my neighborhood. We were sat quickly at a clean and cozy booth. Warm chips and fresh salsa arrived immediately as well as fresh water and our drink order was taken. The staff was attentive our entire visit. Our food also arrived quickly. I had the cheese enchilada plate with a side of tortillas. The sauce was flavorful and the cheese was melted to perfection. The tortillas did not taste fresh and that's always a bummer for me. I can't exclaim enough how much of a game changer fresh tortillas truly are. My margarita was just standard mix margarita. Nothing special. My friend ordered chicken nachos and said they were perfect. She described the seasonings that were used in the chicken and how that made the dish for her. Cheese, chicken and chips done right. Our food did not disappoint but it was the standard Mexican fair nothing stood out as excellent. It's a great neighborhood spot where the food is good and the staff is great.

Truly authentic Mexican food. Amazing cheese enchiladas, and the steak burrito was cooked perfectly.

Mary and I stopped in for lunch yesterday, our first visit. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. There is are very colorful Mexican decorations, everything was clean and bright. Chips and salsa came right out, followed by our tasty beverages. Mary had a taco and burrito. I had a enchilada, tamale, and chilli relleno. The portions are large, the food was good, but standard Mexican fair.

Oh my god. Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. Our server, David, was so nice and welcoming and the massive portions came out so fast. I felt like I was eating at someone's grandmothers house it all felt so personal and comfortable.

I came to visit a friend and she brought me here to try their signature "fish bowl" drink which I was impressed by. For $13 you could get a large alcoholic beverage which would've been double back home. I got the strawberry kiwi fish bowl and loved it- it wasn't too strong and it paired well with my meal. The pricing for the food and drinks weren't too bad but the quality of the food was mediocre. I've been spoiled with a lot of Mexican food over the past years and have picked up some flavors that I always expect and I'm a little harsher on this cuisine. The pollo ranchero plate tasted like tomato sauce with onion and chicken and the rice was dry. That would be my only concern and I was also expecting some spice to the plate.

I found this place quite expensive. Food was good but not great. The ambience and space isn't very warm or inviting. They had good portions and staff is friendly

Amazing service, clean environment, open during Covid, and absolutely amazing food! I usually don't leave and review, but this place was too amazing. Drinks are great and food is delicious! I had the chicken steaks street tacos. Authentic taste, amazing flavor. They were absolutely fabulous! I will definitely be coming back for more!

I had a really good lunch at Rincon Tapatio. It had been recommended, but I didn't realize how good it would be. I was looking over the lunch menu and noticed the vegetarian dishes didn't really have anything out of the ordinary. When I mentioned this to our server, he pointed out the vegetarian fajitas on the full menu. I always wondered why I had never seen veggie fajitas before, so I did not hesitate to order. So, good! Lots of veggies: peppers, onions, carrots, cauliflower (yes!) squash. All beautifully al dente served with fresh corn tortillas. The ubiquitous salsa had nice chunky veggies and just enough heat to whet the appetite. A side dish with rice and beans and very good guacamole was served with the fajitas. My lunch companion had a chicken dish that she pronounced equally delicious. We will be back. It was a nice afternoon so I was disappointed that there wasn't an outdoor spot do have our lunch.

The lights above the booths were made with sombreros- charming. I had a basic Margarita and it was nicely balanced. The salsa with the chips was very hot so we asked if they had a milder salsa and they did. We split a #5 Combo that had a shredded beef burrito and a chili relleno. It was served with refried beans (delicious) and rice (better than most). A couple of notes... sour cream ($2.95 extra) and guacamole ($3.95) were add ons if you wanted them. They also charge $2.00 per basket of chips after the first. We didn't need another, just noticed it at the bottom of the menu. Street tacos were good, served in double corn tortillas. The shredded beef was very moist and good. The chili relleno was really good, very cheesy. Our server was prompt and friendly, checking back to see how things were. The menu prices were above what I expected but the food was very good.

I really loved the decorations inside- colorful, festive, and some really neat Dia De Los Muertos styled paintings. Our server was great and went through the menu...lots of selections. I wasn't super hungry so I got 3 street tacos (1 al pastor, 1 carnitas and 1 tinga). My son got an al pastor quesadilla and my wife got pollo tacos. The chips and salsa were good and held us over until the food came. When the food came they also brought out 3 more salsas in squeeze bottles and all of these were great too. All 3 of my street were very flavorful and all incredibly tender. Sometimes chicken and carnitas can be pretty bland but not here...these were exactly what I was looking for. My family loved their food as well and we left wishing we had a Los Habaneros Taqueria back in AZ! When I was paying for our meal at the cashier several people were picking up to go meals and heard we were from AZ visiting and both parties said we found the best spot in Spokane for Mexican food. I don't doubt them for a minute...this was dynamite.

Totally understandable, but our second server couldn't have cared less about our dining experience. We had to ask for a salsa and chip refill six times before it arrived at our table- I wish I was kidding. Our dirty appetizer dishes, plates and drink glasses sat on the table our entire meal, and no one came back to check on us. We also had to flag down our server when we wanted to order our dinner, more drinks, and ask for more water. Most disappointing of all, our graduation party, that no one asked us about, had 8 people meaning this awful service got tipped 18%. I completely understand having automatic gratuity on large parties, but the service needs to be worth that 18% if you're going to charge it. This was our first and last time at Molé. The food was amazing, the people were great, and I was excited to come back. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I planned a date night and decided to order from here again. Since we have kids, we did pickup. We drove about 25 minutes, then waited another 25 minutes because the line was packed which I didn't mind because the food was that good the first time. But this time? Completely different experience. I ordered a bean burrito with cheese... and it had no beans. Just rice and cheese in a tortilla. Then the nachos, honestly, for $27, this was unacceptable. Dry chips, unmelted cheese, some tomatoes thrown on top, no meat, no beans just thrown together with no care. It looked and tasted like an afterthought. What made it worse is the lack of accountability. I tried calling multiple times last night and again this morning no answer. Calls just ring or don't go through. I even tried calling from different numbers. Nothing. At this point, it's not even about the money it's the principle. Mistakes happen, but not being able to reach anyone or have them make it right is frustrating.
